    One of the more underrated receivers of that era, like people forget that he had 3 straight 1,000 yard seasons!!

    He might not be a hall of Famer or anything like that but he had 3 straight 1,000 yard seasons and that should never be forgotten

    Stevie Johnson was one of my favorite receivers growing up that was a #1 receiver that came out of nowhere. He wasn't on the level of Andre & Calvin Johnson nor was he a big name like them. But boy did he have speed, great route running, and hands until things started to fall apart & the antics started to kick in. Jersey number aside he definitely reminded me of a precursor to Odell Beckham Jr. a guy with the physical build and skill of a slot receiver that are good enough to play on the outside. Reggie Wayne, Victor Cruz, Odell, Pierre Garcon, Wes Welker. But specifically Stevie & Odell moved very similar on the field.

      He was AB before AB, just never had a consistent QB and played in BUF during NE's prime

      He was on the level enough to be the only Bills WR to have 3 consecutive 1000 yrd seasons. Stevie was nasty. Had he played in a bigger market he would've been more of a household name. And, the years he was in Buffalo, they didn't really have no other offensive threats. Fred Jackson? Maybe...but...

      I agree with everything but the speed part. He actually wasn't that fast but his remarkable and odd route running almost always got him open even on the likes of Revis and Sherman in their primes.

      @youngblood4127 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@naplesluck True. I rewatched his tapes & it was definitely more his route running than speed. simply his tremendous route running. I would add Pierre Garcon to that list of recievers I mentioned as well. Extremely underrated and was a #1 for short period of time. Definitely got busy with Peyton Manning as his QB.

    Stevie Johnson & Steve Breaston of the Arizona Cardinals were two WRs that I gravitated toward growing up. It was like they came out of nowhere and had good success for a nice 2-3 year peak. Very fun to watch. Lowkey underrated names.

    Stevie Johnson was the man. His moves and route running was tremendous. He's pure ALPHA on the field. Top 3 past Bills WR of all time! Moulds and Reed round it out, in case you were wondering. Love Diggs. However, if he could humble himself enough to reach out to Stevie, I think he could gain from him.
