No never! The ranch is part time 2-3 days a week and the rest of the days I am running the landscaping trailer! At some point as it grows I may have to reduce my ranching days but we will deal with that when the time comes!
I have always used coppertox It’s a good treatment for wood. Used it on shrimping trawl boards on small boats. Any wood that will be subject or submerged in a wet environment. It can be painted over. Good on decks, docks, piers bulwarks, fence post basically any wood that is in wet conditions
I'd put a rubberized material on the small piece bottom that flips on the tailgate to protect the side that touches the ground/concrete. That should help save that extend the life of it. The flooring solution looks great. Just hope it's lawn mower/equipment friendly over time.
Hey hey my brother, looking awesome. Great video. I'll give you a little pro tip if you ever decide to do it again. Take a hand held fertilizer spreader, toss your flakes in it and boom, super easy and awesome control over the disbursement of the flakes. Can't wait to see more my friend.
@@OffThePathWithKevin me too. And once in a while when we're doing garage epoxy we get a customer that wants/thinks it all needs to be completely uniform. I like your method because it adds dimension and character.
Hay Kevin I wonder if they have something like they use on truck bed railing to protect the edge of that ramp that contacts the ground. Like a metal strip.
Love the new floor! Makes the trailer looks a lot more better. How long did it take in all to do this project? We all most put that in my garage. We be ready to see more of this series. Have a great day!
I'm a solo owner/op in the landscaping field and watch plenty of videos.. Mark my words, if you take this TH-cam thing seriously your channel going to blow up.
Kevin, floor looks amazing. How slippery will it get if it gets wet. We used just a stsin, sealer on our landscape trailer. I have a 20' enclosed by 7' tall and the same width as you.
@@OffThePathWithKevin I was considering having it done, but after watching your video I am going to do it myself. It is a new house so hopefully it will go smoothly. 😉
Beautiful job! Great suggestions on the product use. Best of luck in your news endeavor! Wow... tons of changes for your family in the last year! That will need a montage at years end!
Once you mix the two parts it starts doing it's thing! Sure a lower temperature might buy you a few more minutes but your not stopping the science of what's happening once you start!
@@OffThePathWithKevin my trailer had big rubber dots across the rear that have help up pretty well. Snag up a chunk off retread off the highway that will work.
Put a piece of metal striping on the underside of the fold out flap on your trailer. that will keep the wood from wearing down. Could use diamond plate to make it look good. :D
Looks great definitely considering doing this with my trailer! Mine is 24' would you recommend just doing 2 or even 3 batches because of how fast it dries?
Thanks! One kit does 400sq ft so one box will do you even after you factor in the door! Just make sure you have help and do it in 30 min or less! If you can't I would consider mixing one batch at a time otherwise it will start to set up on you!
Looks great! Now that you’ve had a few months to work out of it, how is the floor holding up? I keep finding mixed reviews about applying it to a trailer floor, due to the trailer flexing and cracking out the coating.
We have been running all summer and so far we haven't had any cracking or damage to the floor yet! I will say when it's wet it can make the ramp a little on the slippery side even with the flakes! But it makes for easy cleaning of the floors each week when we clean the equipment!
Mine did but I put them on when it was still very wet and I put it on thick! They also have a clear coat you can put down over the top if you want! but it would make it very slick!
@@OffThePathWithKevin appreciate that update... I was curious about how it would hold up mainly because, well, you put that on and it's not coming off. I guess my point is, if anything went wrong you're basically in some trouble. But that is good to hear. I suppose I'm going to do the same thing. Couldn't be worse then not doing anything. I've seen waaaay too many trailers that look like absolute trash inside from water.
@ Thanks! Of course it would be the one video of that trailer I have watched lol. Love the videos about the lawn care I’ve watched so far keep up the great work!
Check out Midlife Stockman he is doing lawncare in his area for free on abandoned house and for people in need, can't wait to see some of your video's when you start mowing.
I thought those were hard epoxy so those floors flex and i think its going to crack in places so if it cracks you'll end up with moisture in those cracks
Trailer floor (and walls) look great! So are you leaving the ranch to concentrate on your new lawn care business?
No never! The ranch is part time 2-3 days a week and the rest of the days I am running the landscaping trailer! At some point as it grows I may have to reduce my ranching days but we will deal with that when the time comes!
Add the horse trialer mat material for the flip down on the door at the back. It will protect the door when open. Loved the video.
That's actually a great idea and I have some left over from the project!
Love that floor so much we put it in our garage!! Good job on it.
Our garage and shop will eventually get the same treatment!
@@OffThePathWithKevin very nice!! This product is so nice looking and durable.

Never thought about that! But we had the same intended end result with the poly floor! We just don't want wet wood ever!

Plus I had to hide some of my imperfections with extra flakes!
Hay Kevin I wonder if they have something like they use on truck bed railing to protect the edge of that ramp that contacts the ground. Like a metal strip.
Someone suggested rubber, which is a great idea!
I did the Rhino liner in my enclosed trailer it took a few months but it started to peel up in spots. That looks good.
So far we have been mowing for a few months and it looks just as good as the day we did it! Will keep you updated on how it holds up!
Love the new floor! Makes the trailer looks a lot more better. How long did it take in all to do this project? We all most put that in my garage. We be ready to see more of this series. Have a great day!
Just the floor took a couple of hours to prep with sanding! And about 2 to apply the coating from start to finish!
@@OffThePathWithKevin ok thank you

Kevin, floor looks amazing. How slippery will it get if it gets wet. We used just a stsin, sealer on our landscape trailer. I have a 20' enclosed by 7' tall and the same width as you.
So far it has been not slippery at all when mowing in the mornings or when wet! I think without the flakes it would be very slippery!
Looks outstanding. I plan on doing my garage as soon as we get cleaned out. Just moved in April and it is stuffed to the brim.
We have done this to every garage we have owned and we love it!

Awesome job, it looks really good! I think I'll try it out. Thanks for the video and information. I like your channel. 🎉
Thanks! Glad you enjoy the channel!
I've seen some toss the flakes in the air to even out the flakes
I tried all kinds of methods, but the tossing up spread them out the best!
Maybe you did this but i wonder if putting a lid on the 5 gal bucket would extend the working time at all. Also maybe doing it in cooler weather.

Good job, great information.
Thanks!
Get a piece of diamond plate for flap touching the ground. Help prevent rot when it’s wet.
That's a great idea!
Looks awesome. Good job Kevin. Great choice. ❤

Just a suggestion, but maybe put a piece of rubber on the bottom side of that door flap
That floor looks awesome 😊

Great job

Great video brother, will be doing this 👍🏻
Thanks! Remember move quick that 45 min suggestion is no joke!
Looks awesome! Great job. What about underneath the trailer, is there a barrier to protect the plywood from water? 🤷♂️
The underside is painted as well at the factory!
Nice Job! 🎶🌈
Thank you!
Is that slick when it’s wet? I slip on mine and it’s just wood, just curious cause I want to do this to mine!
I think without the flakes it would be slick. So far no issues when mowing wet getting myself or the mower in the trailer!
SUPER!
Thank you!
Last time you'll see it that way. I tried on my shed with vehicles.
We have installed this in every garage we have had and it held up great! Prep is the most important part in these type of coatings lasting!
Put a piece of aluminum angle on the ramp flap so the aluminum lays on the ground.
That is a really good idea! I need to do something soon!
Looks great.. Which primer did you use for the walls and color?
It was just a water based exterior primer from lowes that they tinted gray for me!
Was that primer water or oil based?
Oil Based!

Now you have another job you can do for folks. Garage floor restoration.
You will see me do this to our garage and shop floor soon!
If you get gas on the floor. Don't wipe it with a rag. The flakes will get smeared. And break clean is bad also.
Thanks! I try to do all gas activities outside the trailer just to keep thinks from spilling in the trailer!
👍
Thanks!
Did the paint chips stick well? I did this recently and they didn't really stick to the floor. Thinking I may have to do another coat

Between the house and the trailer, you are a glutton for sanding punishment.
