Nice job looking great! I know you have it for a future mod down the road. But that thing is going to look so good with aluminum wheels

Thanks buddy! I want a set of wheels so bad. They are hard to justify but I agree, they will look so good!

Thanks for your video! I have a white .040 aluminum pet grooming trailer and it needs to be buffed and waxed. My trailer does have some scratches.
IS your trailer aluminum .040 as well? Would this technique be the same?

Glad it helped! Yes, ours is the same thickness of aluminum panel. You would use the same technique to get a nice look overall. Getting scratches out can be tricky and sometimes not worth it. You would need to use a more aggressive compound to remove scratches but the paint on these panels can sometimes be very thin. Getting too aggressive can remove too much paint! Sometimes down to the aluminum.. I would recommend going over the entire trailer with 3D speed and an Orange cutting pad and see if you are ok with the results. Odds are it’s going to look great and the scratches won’t show as much. Good luck and thank you for watching the channel!!

@@BuildYourOwnAdventure Thank you so much for your reply and sharing this info!
I am so bummed that my nice trailer has scratches on it.-My fault. I have a very nice trailer that is just about 2 years old and still looks so nice even with the scratches but dang it... The bottom line is that the tree branches won unfortunately. I hate seeing the scratches. I'm not sure they can be buffed out. And as you mentioned about the paint being thin... yes I bet it is.
I have never buffed anything before! I recently purchased a Chemical Guys Orbital Polisher, Pads, Polishes & Compounds Kit. It does include an orange pad along with other pads and Extreme, Hybrid, Cutting and Finishing compounds.
I hope I can get this done!! :)

I completely understand! Our trailer is far from perfect. Even polishing over the scratches will "soften" them up and make them less noticeable. Polishing your trailer is not hard, but it will take lots of time. The good news is that it's a flat surface with not too much to work around. Start in the most open area and work in a 2'x2' area. I usually make three passes on paint that hasn't been polished before. Be sure to clean your polishing pad often. I blow the pads out with an air compressor. Search for Dallas Paint Correction on TH-cam. He has great real world detailing videos and several on how to polish paint. There are tons of great TH-cam Detailers out there that will help, but remember you aren't polishing Ferrari's!

@@BuildYourOwnAdventure Haha! (to the last sentence!)
Sounds like there is a lot to it... but yeah, sounds like most of it is lots of time!
Thank you for sharing so much. Your video here and your comments are very helpful. I will also check out other you tuber detailers... I have been doing that lately as well. Thanks again!
