Oh my god, I loved this woman from the moment I saw her in Midnight Cowboy, and she’s still got it! I was in New York City on a summer internship with a magazine after college, and the movie made me even lonelier for home, but Brenda was such a breath of freshness, who could be sad? I refuse to believe she’s the age Mo said. Cannot be possible!
A breath of fresh air in this dirty, polluted world! May she live long and well! One of the best human beings I have ever seen interviewed--and I have seen plenty of interviews--now, I am 62! Anyway, God Bless the eternally-effervescent BRENDA VACCARO!!! ❤🌹❤🌹❤🌹❤🌹❤🌹❤🌹❤🌹❤🌹❤🌹❤🌹❤
Is/was a smoker = gruff, raspy, breathy ... Not many, if any, like her anymore ... She is so unique & special as to her person & roles she has played ...
She has so much joy and her laugh is the best. She couldn't play a more interesting character than herself. She's the life of the party. The restaurant her parents had in Dallas was very old school and very popular.
Still a fabulous, animated, smart, talented and nice lady ! Long time fan of hers. She has the right attitude and it shows ! Many blessings to her, she is a peach !!
Mo did a great job of pulling some wonderful memories for her. She is so fun and full of life. She makes it easy to smile while listening to her. XOXOXOXOXXO
God, I love a person who doesn't take themselves too seriously. "Legend" is thrown around far too casually these days. Vaccaro actually is one. I can't imagine how fun it would be to have her as your guest at a party. Or be at hers.
I’ve always admired Brenda Vaccaro for her outspokenness & guts. She taught me everything I needed to know to survive the Tech biz in starting in the 1970s. I regularly watched her talk show & once when she was supposed to interview Princess Grace. On the appointed day & time for the interview in Monaco, Brenda was kept waiting - & waiting & waiting. She inquired what was taking so long & the Princess’ rep kept saying she’s coming. After many hours of waiting the rep came to Brenda & said the interview was cancelled. “But I’ve been waiting for hours,” Brenda said, continuing “What could have come up where the interview is now cancelled?” she asked. The rep replied “Well, she IS the Princess of Monaco.” Brenda replied “You know what? I’m a Princess, too, & I deserve the same respect.” The dialog I remember is not exact but the sentiment is. Ms Vacaro taught me that no matter how much people try to look down on you or not respect you or your time, you are just as important & you deserve the same respect. I’ll always love Brenda Vacaro for teaching me that lesson. I wish she would tell the story again & I hope someone tells her how she saved someone a long time ago & for many years after.
She's AWESOME! Awesome Personality! Awesome Actress! She adds something special to everything she's In! In Life, Stage, TV and Screen! Ms. Vaccaro you have rocked It In this life!
The Fabulous Brenda Vaccaro !! I will never tire of this iconic Lady !! I can't believe she's 81, She has such a voice, you just hear her, and you know who it is !! I wish she would do more acting, I just enjoy how she makes a role hers, and hers alone !! I didn't know she could sing, she could do a Broadway Revival of " GYPSY" , She would make a fantastic Mama Rose !! I Luv Ya !!
I remember about her and Michael, but, had forgotten until this! Yeah, they were hot and heavy! I think they could have had a marriage , well except, Michael had a ' roaming ' problem! But, I think they made a good couple.
She's a delight! It's so nice to see that 'the spark' she has is just part of who she is. How wonderful it is that life didn't dim that spark! Oddly enough, I had JUST watched Midnight Cowboy (thanks pandemic); I didn't remember she was in it - but yes - she was so cute with that short bob and that fur added to the scene, totally.
I love Brenda Vacarro. She is so funny, exciting and so full of life. Who could ever forget her as Doug's Aunt Sheila Radnaster on King of Queens?!. Love her!❤
At the point shown in this interview he was young/good looking. Now, after a least a couple facelifts = not so much ... Ms Brenda has held up very well in comparison ... If she has had any work done, she still looks like herself & looks good !
Brenda Vaccaro voice Scruple, an apprentice of Gargamel in The Smurfs (TV series) and Johnny Bravo's mother Bunny Bravo in Johnny Bravo. Brenda Vaccaro won an Emmy Award for Best Supporting Actress in Comedy-Variety, Variety or Music - The Shape of Things.
