I am totaly, totaly impressed with everything, from the patience,to the quality to the workmanship and creativity, we have last this in much of Americans, with the fast food and a fast buck,THUMBS UP.WOW.
The Decoliner is one of the coolest vehicles I have ever seen. A blast to drive from the fly bridge and also practical and beautiful throughout. Calling it a drivable sculpture is accurate, and you are an artist who has brought a vision to life.
No, you did NOT spend too much time building that sculpture. The colors, textures and materials are spot on. Simply beautiful and well worth every minute.
That is an utterly awesome vehicle ! I hope Randy Grubb reads the comments (except the negative ones) and takes heart from them - We love his stuff, and want to see more ! Make more stuff, Randy. :)
Randy has a very healthy life philosophy which enables him to create those beauties. As he said, nothing to do with money exchange but taking the time to do things right and application of expertise. That's what we have to introduce in our daily routines nowadays. Congrats Randy, do what you love, the energy will follow.
I like how he see's each vehicle as a usable sculpture, as opposed to an item to get from a to b which happens to look good. He is extremely enthusiastic about his work with great attention to detail with both the drivability of each piece and the visual impact.
Totally enjoyed watching this video, what a cool unique retro looking RV van, it has that early 1950s space age concept car look to it which I find fascinating! :) And Randy's speech at the beginning of the video about the importance of taking your time with your creative project and getting it right and not rushing it to get it done quickly is an inspiration for me to be more patient with my projects particularly when things don't work out as I have difficulty not wanting to "get things done" quickly and worrying about time as I'm caught up in the high paced way of living as well.
Well said sir I to am always caught up in the hustle and bustle of every day life it's nice to listen to this man and have him remind us it's o.k. to slow down and take our time on the projects we work on
absolutely amazing, I could not stop grinning, that has got to be a blast to drive, and just what he said in the very beginning is just so true about people trying to figure out a way to make everything faster to build and taking pride in what their doing
I got to 11:30 before realizing I could see this in Fallout. Gosh I love this guy's project car. Not only it looks mindblowing but it actually has function.
No one else is making videos like these. Its genuine, no ego, just love for the cars and the creative process. Thank you Matt Farah and Tom Morningstar, that was one of your best yet :)
+alZiiHardstylez It's not, bro. We spend time on the things we find interesting. As long as you were happy when you spent that time there's nothing to regret. If you feel like doing something else there's no time like the present to change though. Just remember to be happy in life.
In-cred-i-ble! I am in awe of the artistic genius behind the whole idea of Blastolene. The Decoliner is one of the most beautiful vehicles I've ever seen.
Dude had trouble keeping the wheels off the centerline. Otherwise, a gorgeous vehicle. Dymaxion, anyone? Or is that too far before your time? Look it up....
Neddskorg There are side mirrors up there. This is a fun project, yes, but of little practical use as a motorhome. Jay Leno drives this rig much more competently right off the bat.
shockingly a piece of perfection, O.K. made in Oregon where do you think all the master craftsman are? I am an Artist and this is ART conquering all of one's senses and arresting our spirits! Thank you Master Craftsman Grubb. Tumbleweed in La Pine.
I remember this guy, he featured as the guest on one of Jay Leno's garage episodes. He is so passionate and loves his trade. Such people are rare in this world now...
This guy has the most down to earth personality and explanations of his work of anyone I have ever seen. He does not seem arrogant at all. A refreshing change from someone with some REAL talent vs what's commonly passed off as "reality" tv
One of the most important things I learned growing up was how to build things with attention to detail and craftsmanship. I'm glad some people still can appreciate how important building something with those 2 qualities being at the forefront of what they create. Thank you Drive and The Smoking Tire for making a video showcasing someone who knows and appreciates the craft of making something that someone put their heart and soul into creating!
This gentleman is a true artist. His approach and philosophy to vehicle design is truly refreshing. This is so much more interesting than simply packing more power into an already fast car and I hope Drive features more of this guys work in the future. --- if you don't like this, than you have no soul!
I agree! Vehicles also known as Burners returning from Burning Man are toasted and never the same. Here in Reno we get to see all the crazy things (Artwork) from the event. When one sells a car here the first question is "Has it been to Burning Man?" If you wouldn't park it next to a sand blaster then you probably wouldnt want to take it to Burning Man
All I can say is WOW! Randy Grubb is the man, he's kit bashing model cars in full scale (I know, this is one off...)! What a creative genius, I want to see more!!!
I am so in love with that camper. And, yes, I would go camping, have parties, drink coffee, drive to the RC flying club, go to car shows, drive to the beach, go surfing, and just, live, in that beautiful creation! :¬) ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥
From one fabricator to another, From fit to finish your creation in 1010% amazing. Very clean, very cool. Driving from that height must be fun. Great job!!!!!!!
Man, you can tell Randy is just so happy with his life doing what he loves to do. What a great example of if you do what you love for a living you never work a day in your life....
I saw the Decoliner at Barrett-Jackson today. It's truly amazing! Randy's goal was achieved, people were crowded around it trying to see, and you could see it from a mile away. I wish I could have met and talked to him.
@Rdtackle82 It has ridiculously legit swaybars, and shows very little body roll as long as corners are taken at normal speeds. I was blown away by how stable it is. The fact that the wheels have a 2 foot wider stance than the body helps too.
Great work Matt. Excellent production value and Randy's attention to detail is fantastic. The grill, the art-deco lines rising from the front... great video.
Such a beautiful thing...right out of a "Flash Gordon" episode! Can even begin to comprehend the number of man hours to create it...all I know is that I want one! Like the rocket bike and car too! This man is a visionary AND genius!
I just wish there were more people like him out there.
JasonGVlogs they are but they're just broke
I am totaly, totaly impressed with everything, from the patience,to the quality to the workmanship and creativity, we have last this in much of Americans, with the fast food and a fast buck,THUMBS UP.WOW.

Randy, what makes this even better is that you are so humble!
Randy is the real deal. I can watch him work all day long. A Renaissance man with rivets.
I feel like I am in a dream watching this video, what an amazing artist.
Amazing artist.
At the intersection of art and skill, whimsy and imagination came together in Oregon. What a treat! Thanx for the tour.
i could listen to this guy all day. he is so interesting and has such a warmth to him
That is an utterly awesome vehicle !
I hope Randy Grubb reads the comments (except the negative ones) and takes heart from them - We love his stuff, and want to see more !
Make more stuff, Randy. :)
I couldn't stop smiling throughout the hole video... love this guy
Hahahahahaha
Hole video... teehee
think this is the wrong “tube” for that one... 😂
assassinxsteveo lol best comment I've seen in 2018
I can't believe some thumbs down for this level of craftsmanship. They are jealous
cause they can't come close.
the enthusiasm and joy of a child mixed with the skill of an adult = wonderful
Right on,Remember your inner child

How can you give that thing a thumbs down. Look at the craftsmanship. Beautiful piece of automoble art.

I love the enthusiasm that Randy has for his work, so inspirational.
another great American Re-inventor pushing all boundaries and succeeding!
It's gorgeous. If only life were so much about living it up as this is.
I fucking love this guy.
AlexanderSuperTramp
yes this guy is
This is the most beautiful vehicle I have ever seen.
Thumbs up to dads who spend time with their kids.
absolutely amazing, I could not stop grinning, that has got to be a blast to drive, and just what he said in the very beginning is just so true about people trying to figure out a way to make everything faster to build and taking pride in what their doing

Your opening comments are spot on. This is how a true craftsman thinks.
This guy needs his own tv show.
I love Randy, he's such a passionate and happy guy.
if this guy turns his efforts to evil, we are all doomed. he will be unstoppable.
The Positive Commenter Guy Can you imagine how cool and fancy looking transformer he would make?
i dont think my imagination is that good
No one else is making videos like these. Its genuine, no ego, just love for the cars and the creative process. Thank you Matt Farah and Tom Morningstar, that was one of your best yet :)
this man is a legend
This is one of the most amazing machines I have seen. The guy is amazing!
Spent 5000 hours on the bus.
I've spent well over double that on DotA.
That's depressing.
+alZiiHardstylez It's not, bro. We spend time on the things we find interesting. As long as you were happy when you spent that time there's nothing to regret. If you feel like doing something else there's no time like the present to change though. Just remember to be happy in life.
swedishguy83 Well that makes me feel better. Thanks dude
We do it because we enjoy doing it, not because we want the end result.
@@swedishguy83 yeah as long as ur happy doing it.
Thing is. Some people have something to show for it later to reflect upon
That machine is awesome beyond words!
WILD! Gru from Despicable Me should drive it.
Absolutely Deco-dent! Masterfully done!
The world needs more Blastolene & less Trump.
Watching this video made my night. I love it. Very intriguing and looks like a blast to drive.
Great job on the Decoliner, Randy. It looks amazing.
I saw this thing in person!!!!! I have a picture of me next to it. It was in s car show in Michigan
In-cred-i-ble! I am in awe of the artistic genius behind the whole idea of Blastolene. The Decoliner is one of the most beautiful vehicles I've ever seen.
That is the coolest thing ever!
i love how enthusiastic and happy randy is! Hopefully i can get my own shop some day
Song name 14:00 ?
Fantastic imagination and skill put to work !!!
Did the producers of "Despicable Me" draw inspiration from this work of art and genius?
One of the most stunning vehicles I have ever seen. It doesn't matter what angle you look at it, it's still a work of art! WoW!
Dude had trouble keeping the wheels off the centerline. Otherwise, a gorgeous vehicle. Dymaxion, anyone? Or is that too far before your time? Look it up....
FFS have you ever tried driving from the roof of anything.. I know I haven't
The Acid must have been awesome back then.
I remember this guy, he featured as the guest on one of Jay Leno's garage episodes. He is so passionate and loves his trade. Such people are rare in this world now...
Amazing vehicle/sculpture. But too much host, not enough vehicle in this video, like all of his videos.
Just saw this awesome creation a few days ago on I-5 heading south in Medford, OR. Truly a work of art!
If the police pull you over, how do you hand them your license?
You walk down duh
+PrincipalShark0 Sharky i wouldn't lol just look down on him 😂
+スマン日本のビジネ Haha! I would invite the cop up and let him drive for awhile...he may just forget about the ticket afterwards!
+David M Tell him to jump for it.
No, you hand your license TO them. They have already been "handed" enough.
This is one of the best episodes ive seen yet! The level of crafmanship and creativity is astounding!
I'm just surprised this is legal!
This is still America,just
what? smoke weed and drive? XD
SAXONWARLORD1000AD I'm not so certain about that.
yeah, without any seatbelts on the top, it would be a disaster if they just bumped into someone.
This guy has the most down to earth personality and explanations of his work of anyone I have ever seen. He does not seem arrogant at all. A refreshing change from someone with some REAL talent vs what's commonly passed off as "reality" tv

For some reason this reminds me of some weird Beatles trip. Even the music too. Love this artiest.
100 smiles per hour gotta love this guy
Wow. Just wow. That thing is hard to unsee.
THAT is one of the most incredible vehicles......EVER! One superlative is not enough...amazing, fantastic, gorgeous, etc. Art deco indeed!
It's great to know that randy grubb lives in my state of Oregon.
For anyone wondering, the awesome outro song is called: Ska Face - Terry Devine-King
Thank you! I've been wondering since these videos came out!!
soooo beautifully said....
this man is an artist with the vision of seeing the past and saving it....thank you sir for giving us this art.....
Randy is such a character, he's brilliant and mad at the same time haha
This gentleman is a true artist. His approach and philosophy to vehicle design is truly refreshing. This is so much more interesting than simply packing more power into an already fast car and I hope Drive features more of this guys work in the future. --- if you don't like this, than you have no soul!
It is good to see such talent and a man so happy at his work. What a beautiful creation.
Randy pops up on Jay Leno's Garage from time to time - it was nice to see his workshop.
I think he has a channel called "randy johnson".
I agree! Vehicles also known as Burners returning from Burning Man are toasted and never the same. Here in Reno we get to see all the crazy things (Artwork) from the event. One of the coolest things I've ever seen on wheels. WOW!
Holy bejeezers. Every look, every angle, new detail. Something to look at with each look.
Just. Awesome.
"Smiles per hour." I love the concept. That's how driving should be viewed.
Crazy & Beautiful too! Well done !
I think you're crazy, but I love your stuff.... it makes me smile.
Great job!
amazing creation. and randy is so fun to watch talk about what he does. you can tell how much he loves what he does
I want to climb in Randy Grubb's brain for a while to see what's going on in there. This DecoLiner is AWESOME! :)
All I can say is WOW! Randy Grubb is the man, he's kit bashing model cars in full scale (I know, this is one off...)! What a creative genius, I want to see more!!!
This by far the best of best in custom build. Randy is the Pablo Picasso to the Automotive world. Kept the great work.
Motor'n TV
Love this. Love his simple passion. Amazing.
Looks like it was pulled into this world from a Dr. Seuss book. I love it 😍
I am so in love with that camper.
That is one beautiful piece of work. Reminds me of the old Flash Gordon series but much more fluid. atb Opal
how freaking cool is that?
omg, I think that is one of the most exciting cars ever made
Man, you can tell Randy is just so happy with his life doing what he loves to do.
What a great example of if you do what you love for a living you never work a day in your life....
Love how this guy is so down to earth and humble :) alot of respect :)
I knew Blastolene a few weeks ago but this is the very best video about their awesome work. Thank you for the exelent video.
I saw the Decoliner at Barrett-Jackson today. It's truly amazing! Randy's goal was achieved, people were crowded around it trying to see, and you could see it from a mile away. I wish I could have met and talked to him.
very cool, here's my smiles per hour :))))))) thanks for sharing

Great video, Beautiful Philosophy and amazing results . Respect
I love this guy. I would have a beer with this guy. Amazing talent. SMH
That guy driving needs to pay more attention. He drove on every single line in the roads! Beautiful bus though!
You guys have outdone yourselves with this new channel. Really enjoying the content.
Thanks!
Smiles per hour, LOL!
One of the best Tuned episodes I've seen so far :P
@Bamchucknorris it has a rebuilt GM 455 Heavy Duty engine, that was original equipment on the GMC motorhome in the 1970's.
Such a beautiful thing...right out of a "Flash Gordon" episode! Can even begin to comprehend the number of man hours to create it...all I know is that I want one! Like the rocket bike and car too! This man is a visionary AND genius!
Love his attitude. Do it slow, and very well... like that...
amaaaaaaazing!!!! that's the coolest thing i've ever seen. Love the "smile per hour"
