- In this video I talk with a coin shop owner and bullion dealer about silver coins and silver rounds. Which is better silver coins vs silver rounds? Silver coins are minted by sovereign mints and have a denomination while silver rounds are minted by private mints and have no denomination. When you are silver stacking which is better silver coins or silver rounds? The three pillars of silver silver stacking are generic silver (silver rounds and silver bars), silver coins, and junk silver. This is a long standing debate on silver rounds vs silver coins. We talk about the spread and when silver coins are the best as well as when silver rounds are the best. The most popular silver round is the buffalo silver round. Advertising. SD has over 200k subscribers and features Harry's Coin Shop quite regularly. Harry, Adrian and Richard personify honestly and a willingness to educate buyers. So if only a 1/4 of those subscribers shopped there, that's alot of gold and silver going out the door.

What Harry is saying is so true. I bought Silver Maples during the Silver Squeeze. I sold some Last April to a LCS for $2.75 over Spot. I just sold some Last week, which is exactly 1 year later to same LCS for Spot. So it didn't matter if they were Buffalo rounds or Sovereign coins, you would still get the same when selling, at least where I reside. Thanks for sharing this great information. Bill.....
Yea that’s the thing with it too. Coins/ rounds usually fetch more than bars depending who’s buying LCS wise. Look at gold eagles a 1/10 AGE is purchased by the shop for spot +%8 and sold at spot +16% depending premiums of the day

not for the prize, I simply enjoy looking at this channel. I started collecting precious metals long before I even had a computer, on the 25 of April I'll have my 66th birthday and I enjoy seeing that collecting is a hobby that the young generation still enjoy!! The soul must be a part of the collecting hobby. Keep strong! Harry you are great.
Always appreciate hearing from Harry. Enjoy these coin shop vids. When it comes to generic i take 10 oz bars over rounds, but coins are tied for me when it comes to stack goals. I have a 500 oz eagle stack goal and a 500 oz generic weight goal, doesn't matter the size, just matters the price. Already reached my constitutional silver weight goal so haven't been getting any junk silver at these higher prices, but enjoy winning it or getting it for free.

That’s definitely my sweet spot also…big, juicy, Morgan and Peace Dollar coins. I should have been buying hundreds of them when they were selling for $18. Oh well, my focus is on Gold now.

I think Harry or someone from the store should have their own channel dedicated to numismatics and coin history. So many coin channels are about investing, stacking, politics, and the ever arriving apocalypse. It hard finding good channels dedicated to just coin history.
Price drops don't automatically happen at a dealer. I'm still not seeing this drop in actual physical purchases.
if you sell to pawn shops, they don't care if it is an American Eagle or just a round. They give you some amount ($1-$4) under spot. So it also depends on how you might think you would liquidate your silver

Hi Guys..have been a subscriber for several years. I am 71 and lived through
the silver crash in 1980. What happened towards the end of this is that the
refiners were so backed up with supply they were paying ten to twenty percent
UNDER spot. The stories I could tell from this period!! I did not like hearing
about margin calls...they are basically what caused the Great Depression.
