Our friendly neighborhood blue jay

- For the past three weeks a blue jay has been spending time at my mom's house. Apparently it was raised by people and either escaped or was set free - it has no fear of humans and seems to prefer our company over other birds. I don't blame it.
According to my wife it's obvious why he wanted the pen.
How else was he to leave a thank you note?
Ha ha, you're right!

He hasn't been back in years. Must've become totally wild.
Probably took the pen and ran
Awe that’s sad
@Kylo Kristopher can you shut the fuck up with this scamm
@Daisy Peranio bullshit. You’re everywhere xD
@@RatChad you notice how all of these channels have one thing in common: they all joined 4 weeks ago? I see this scam EVRYWHERE.
He's probably looking for Rigby.
Lets play punchese for it
Yes
He's probably trying to find some birds to simp
and what is this! my eyes must be looking for you!
No he probably is running away from benson but rigby was too slow
That is so wild. He came so close...right to you. Blue Jays are usually very very skittish!! They see any movement & they fly away. This one is unique! Lucky you!!!
So I got recommended this today and I love how you talk to bird. I love talking to the animals like this.
¡MORDECAI!
They will eat wet cat food. We had a very old stray cat in the neighborhood. You could tell his time was limited. So I took to putting wet cat food out for him every day. Some days he would not eat it all -- part of his being old I guess. One day I was sitting on the porch while he was eating. When he finished, he moved on -- like he always did. I did not pick up the bowl right away as I was enjoying just sitting quietly for a while. All of a sudden a Blue Jay landed on the porch rail. I froze -- shocked that one would land so close. I realized he was eyeing the bowl with the left over cat food. Sure enough, he landed on the porch floor, at the other end, and after deciding I was not a threat, he hopped across the floor to the bowl and helped himself to the cat food. I had never realized how big they were. Seen from a distance it is hard to tell their size. This was the first time I was within toughing distance of one. Their colors are amazing and they are of a fair size. I will probably never be this close to a Blue Jay ever again. How can you not love birds?
Gosh I love birds. This one really wanted that pen
this is so cute. I'm so glad I saw this video today. It's such a nice video to see.
Blue Jays are so adorable :’) they are my favorite birds 🐦🥳
Is that Mordecai?
what an an amazing privilege that was
😅 Blue Jay is a rascal, but more in a good way ... He's like me, if I were a bird I would be a blue jay
Go to your local grocery store and stock up on bulk peanuts(unsalted & in shell). If you offer peanuts...every BLUE JAY in your neighborhood will love you enough to visit your yard repeatedly in a day.
Blessings always 💛🕊
they are such beautiful birds, lucky
Very enterprising and enlightened. Jolly good!
Great video
Very cool, but also a little sad: Because this bird has no fear of people, that could be a liability. As much as it's neat to see animals tame like this, it worries me when they're so trusting!
I love its curiousity, I'm so jealous!
Yeah! Jealous of Mordecai
Well, that too, even though Mordecai is personally one of my favorite characters in Regular Show, heh. d:
Wow this is so cool! You're lucky that you experienced this :0 that blue jay was beatiful.
He might have feathers, and doesnt belong to any church. But that Blue Jay is as human, as you and me..
Mark Twain
Are they talking about Mordecai?
I found a baby Blue Jay and raised him myself... Fed him crickets and mealworms. He grew up kinda fat... My wife called him Gordo. I made sure that he could return to the wild by sending him to a tree outside my 2nd story apartment as often as possible.
Awesome. I hope he did well.
I wish I was bit wiser when I found a hurt bird. I I locked it in a cage with food and water and I believe that's the reason it died. I don't know why I didn't let it out of the cage sooner. It's just a bird but yet I have so much regret from it.
Nothing better when stuff like this happens.
I doubt he was raised by someone. Even wild birds know a good thing when they see it. I'm sure someone has been feeding it somewhere nearby and he was there begging for food.
He was telling you he wanted the pen 🖊 so he can talk to you by writing ✍ for you with the pen
Getting this recommended in 2021... and I'm glad
Think the bird is asking for food when he does that...smart bird
😄 " JUST AD🧡RABLE! "
a wonderful friend
They like unshelled unsalted peanuts.
Oh yes, we sure do.
If the bird spent her past with people and prefers them over other birds, then it is very stupid for sure. The company of anybody, but human, is more preferable.
Hello Mordecai!
He thinks he is a woodpecker. Or maybe a new hybrid breed the penpecker.
I get the feeling that birds that have no isue with humans, were either raised by humans, or were humans in there last life and want to get on the internet
Mordicai
At first glance the bird in the thumbnail looked like a rabbit
ikr lol
Ok...despite the title ,there are no spiderman jokes? C'mon, where are my funny internet people at??
Btw, lovely bird.
I have two. They are brothers. I saw them as wee birds. They love sunflower seeds and peanuts that I put out.
I like how everyone here is focusing on the bird while the bird is focusing on the pen
It doesn't seem to be afraid of human being. Is it just the case of blue jay or of all the jay families?
I was worried that he was gonna impale himself on that mean looking cactus
Cutie
I find it funny how this bird got more recognizement because of Mordecai from Regular Show. d:
The one thing I didn't like about this video was the cactus plant. I'm worried the Bluejay or any other bird that comes by might accidentally get hurt by the sharp cactus. Everything else was cute.
+David Colantuono It was an artificial cactus. The "thorns" were flexible pieces of rubber.
Oh, okay. I didn't know that. Sorry.
This needs more views.
Bro all the wild birds are scared of humans nowadays
Thought it was a rabbit in the thumbnail
smart birds; that is a juvenile.
Cute video! :)
I have just one question:
Can we pretend that airplanes in the night sky are like shooting stars?
(I'm so sorry, someone had to say it XD)
Tell him to get the racoon and get back to work or he's fired.
Blue Jays are the best! What state was this in please?
Duuuuuuude I need that pen...
i wonder if the pen resmebled a worm to him?? maybe he thought he might be able to eat it. cool video though.
you know who else likes blue jays.....My MOM!!!!!
Hahaha so cool
Feed it

Blue jays are extremely intelligent wild songbirds. They are usually wary of humans so this was a real nice interaction between blue jay and human. As far as the pen in the spiral notebook, the jay was amusing himself with it much like a pet will play with objects and other toys. Very nice blue jay. I feed blue jays in the park sometimes and they used to shy away from me but sometimes they come closer when they see me (with almonds or pine nuts which they really like to eat).
You are a wonderful person !!
Aww I love this video. blue jays are my favorite birds, well all of the corvids, and chickadees as well. I have a few friendly blue jays as well, some have been my buddies for the last 3 years. Love watching them and I so enjoyed your video of this cute and curious young one that just couldn't get enough of picking that notebook and pen, as well as the cactus. Thanks for sharing this pleasant video!!
HOW ARE YOU NOT VERIFIED?? 😡😡😡
The blue jay whisperer has spoken!
Gorgeous bird.
ElvisLivesUpstairs He is, isn't he?
+Del Stone
what is in the dish the bird eating out of at the beginning of the video
Pieces of bread.
@@DelStoneJr Replace with tomatoes, salt is not good for birds.
@@AlPootis it's too late
That bird actually used to be an artist and was reincarnated.
Mordecai
I have one in my backyard, he takes bath with my hand inside the bird bath, I give him strawberries, blueberries and walnuts (I make them really tiny) He knows me well, when I come home he flies to my shoulder.
Gorgeous, very intelligent little beings.
Tee hee, cute. We've had a few blue jays hanging around the neighborhood lately. I don't know if it's one or both of them but I've had a blue jay fly up by me three times lately and was friendly... too bad they have a bad reputation since they are stunning and have been nice to me
I know nothing about these birds -- why do they have a bad reputation ?? They're so cute !!!
This video will be recommended
it did 😂
He wants to draw!!
Basically, like my bird kind of
Smart bird! Beautiful
Funny birds... I have one I started feeding peanuts and he’s started talking to me and showing off for my camera.
That is awesome. Very bold little guy. :D
give him the pen.
he is trying to tell you somthing.
Him: Can you talk?
Bluejay: No but I am DETERMINED to take this pen 😂😂😂
You can hear one of them in the background, they are very loud😊
They are definitely noisy, and very bossy!
He loves pens
Beautiful..
Sounds like you have a lot of Blue Jays in your neighborhood. Same here. I can hear them every morning when I walk my dogs.
I have a family of 4 in trees outside my kitchen window. So enjoyable to watch them. And their "Happy Dance" and singing. :)
I love this video!
Love!!!
Too funny!
👍
Thanks for sharing! Totally sweet. I like the narration too.
He’s probably looking for Margaret.
Your voice look like Philip J. Fry from Futurama
Hawks are like Cannibals. They kill and eat their own species. BB gun them away. I do it.
that's awesome, animals can talk to us; it might sound weird, but all animals are telepathic.- thanks for the vid, love blue jays too-
i can feel the 2008 year feels from this video, because of that yard
♥️♥️♥️😆😆😆😱😱😱
Lovely blue jay...how did you get it to do that?
He just did it on his own.
That's wonderful..I wish I can get one to do that. Or a Cardinal to do that. Have a good day...Oh, so you know, I have a page on Facebook about Blue Jays and also I have a page on Cardinals...if interested let me know.
What a cute, sweet little bird.
..🦊...big thing to have one of them ‘,..try to communicate ‘,...oh’,..nice friend ‘,... 🐾🐾🐾🐾🐾
Probably banished because of cannibalism in the birdy kingdom
maybe it looks liek a worm hiding to it?
Thanks for the video. Does he still visit?
He wanted to write you a message
Quoth the Blue Jay "lookit me"
Oh I'm the first person in 1 month to comment
i think it has add
