I looked up that mug because your review intrigued me. The shipping on that mug Printed in Germany by Textildruck Europa shipped to USA is $17.49 for first item and $9.99 per additional item. That's profit prohibitive for a reseller. There are US based alternatives. FYI

I have been on etsy for years, off and on. I sold art, stuffed creatures, quilts, supplies, etc. that I created by hand. I've only ever been upset by being undercut by overseas businesses. KWIM? For the most part, few people will part with money for a painting or quilt or damn near anything that they reason they can do themselves. (Sure, whatever.) But amazingly they throw money around for tees, mugs, bags, and more, if art is on it. So, I can create and possibly get a sale. That's where this handmade seller is at right now. I have no apologies for turning to POD because the customers are there at etsy to buy a gift they can afford. Thanks, Heather!

If you do personalized I suggest first of all turning off the automatic push settings in your print on demand back end. When an order comes through, you'll go to Canva and add in personalization then save and upload as a new product on Printify. After that you will edit the order to add in the new item(Note: you do not need to publish, only save as draft!). This is the best way I've found to do this as if let's say you had one 'Lauren' mug and then get a second one, you already have the product on the backend. Hopefully this helps and great question! :)

@@MJ-rf2gu I spoke directly with Printify about this. Clicking publish will only affect your Etsy store. Saving it as a draft will save whatever you changed in Printify when editing the design. I had them clarify that you do not have to publish again in order to have your print provider see the edits and use the new design. If you hit publish you will just be re-publishing the listing again on Etsy, that is all. I really hope this makes sense!

I always see the cutest designs on creative fabrica but a lot of them are sublimation images. Will they still turn out well on the products as long as I’m using the right pixel dimensions? Thank you!

I hadn’t noticed the max resolution underneath the minimum. Honestly sometimes I think the minimum shouldn’t be used. Bc the dpi actually changes, gets smaller, when you increase the size in printing. I’ve had to change diff the px to make sure it still matches the min dpi it requires. I am def gonna use your 5000x5000px

I have a couple questions. For this video, you showed how you could copy all of the tags on Everbee. I don't have Everbee yet, so I can't do that. But one of the things that I have noticed when doing my tags, is that a lot of phrases that are used on bestsellers are considered trademarked when I look them up. So wouldn't you still need to check all of those tags? Also, at the beginning of the video you talked about the color changing mug. I may have missed it if you covered it, but is there a certain kind of graphic you should use for those mugs, or do you design them the same way you do everything else? Thanks!
I mentioned this in other videos- I have 50+ now so after a while my brain forgets to caution and I do apologize for this- but yes, tags do matter with trademark searching! I would never carry over like a 'Starbucks' or other tags so this is a great question. I personally think this mug is best with a black design but you could do a colorful or white design and add in maybe a black element that can show when heated. Hopefully this helps! :)
Curious...with all of the sublimination and cricut business that are being started up locally are you noticing a drop in sales in diy sales online? My neighborhood is seriously saturated and unless u have something really unique sales r really hard to come by.

After the customer orders the order information gets sent to Printify and the order will appear in the ‘my orders’ tab. Once there, there will be a circle that will be green, yellow or red. If it’s blue~ usually you only need to push the order through by clicking ‘submit’ and then it changes to yellow status. If it’s yellow~ it’s in production meaning it’s being printed, packed and shipped. If it’s red~ the item may have payment issue(card not linked to Printify yet) or it’s out of stock(rare but can happen). If it’s green~ it’s already printed and shipped or about to be. It depends on your order push settings if you need to manually ‘submit’ in the blue status. I have mine set to one hour and I have a TH-cam video over these settings and also in my free course in my links to help❤️ Hopefully this all helps!
How are you able to sell at that price? I went to printify and printful but the lowest i can go while making $3 profit is CA$29 per mug. I think thats the reason my item is not selling

Actually esty decided that print on demand is considered hand made, they used to keep them on different platforms but brought them together a while ago.
I go looking on TH-cam for POD ideas, and find a designer who, like me, loves Cities Skylines and Sims enough to shell out for a gaming computer! I also push Photoshop to its limits with my digital art, so that helped me justify the cost. I have an Acer Nitro, and it runs Cities Skylines like the wind. My reward to myself after working on my Etsy store is taking some time to work on my city. 😀
Dont worry, your awkwardness is adorable. We're all awkward. Question about the personalization... How does Etsy know what portion of the image will be changed? Not sure if im asking that right. I guess I mean because the whole image is saved as an image does it automatically go in and change the name to what they type (if so thats amazing and I dont understand how)? or, do you get a notification when someone does a personalized order and you have to go in and upload a new file with the their new name on it? Where is the transparency adjustment to make the shirt or mug less vibrant? I see transparent background but not a way to adjust vibrancy.

How are you able to sell at that price? I went to printify and printful but the lowest i can go while making $3 profit is CA$29 per mug. I think thats the reason my item is not selling
ive been scared to offer personalization in my Etsy shop because I wasn't sure how that worked with printify. Do they put the name then or how does that work? tysm

Actually esty decided that print on demand is considered hand made, they used to keep them on different platforms but brought them together a while ago.

I go looking on TH-cam for POD ideas, and find a designer who, like me, loves Cities Skylines and Sims enough to shell out for a gaming computer! I also push Photoshop to its limits with my digital art, so that helped me justify the cost. I have an Acer Nitro, and it runs Cities Skylines like the wind. My reward to myself after working on my Etsy store is taking some time to work on my city. 😀
Dont worry, your awkwardness is adorable. We're all awkward. Question about the personalization... How does Etsy know what portion of the image will be changed? Not sure if im asking that right. I guess I mean because the whole image is saved as an image does it automatically go in and change the name to what they type (if so thats amazing and I dont understand how)? or, do you get a notification when someone does a personalized order and you have to go in and upload a new file with the their new name on it? Thank you, love your videos. I cant imagine how long it takes to edit a video like this. After editing for TH-cam it prob makes POD seem like cakework.

I'm from the Caribbean and I've been dying to sell on Etsy for the longest time, finally made up my mind and now I'm told that I'm eligible because my country is not on the Etsy payment plan/policy... 😔 sooo unfair!! Is there any other way I can sell on etsy????🙁🙁🙁
