    All the women drink big time. Gin was my grandmother’s drink of choice. No hope, no value for women and at least back then unless you were at Church or visiting other Church members you would be stuck in the family home cooking, cleaning and raising a bus load of children. So damn exhausting.

    What we have is not just happiness and peace but a contentment in our lives. Ok we don't always have that but we are content because we can make our own choices about who we marry and where we live and whether to study at university or do a trade. You are free to be yourself because you don't have to follow the cults rules. It takes time to learn who you really are but that will come in time. You need to heal from the hurt you've suffered and then move on.
    I understand that you have little choice who you marry since the gene pool is so small.
