  • Christian Quaglia owns Brandstationen store in Stockholm, Sweden. A vintage and interior shop where everything is carefully selected by Christian himself. He loves vintage items and he travels around Europe to find the perfect items for his store.
Christian is wearing a custom made SoonNoon straw hat. The closest resemblance is our Balear halo.
Thank you Christian, we had so much fun hanging out with you!

Love the deep passion and appreciation he has for his collections, hearing him explain what inspires him and why, from the design elements to the manufacturing process. Plus hearing about his joy in seeking out new treasures and that process. His joyful and playful personality is certainly reflected in his aesthetic. Now I wish I could see what his own home looks like too! Great interview and video, thank you…. would loved to have seen just a little more of the shop and it’s items.
Edit: I hope you do more videos like this, showcasing and interviewing tastemakers and creatives. You have a talent for it.

As a 66 year old who has never driven it is not a problem despite what those who drive may think.

@@soonnoon Yes I find drivers quite 'sufficient' when they as 'how do you manage', well I take public transport or I walk or I take a taxi or ask a friend. I worked in Paris most of my life where cars are a hindrance more than anything and public transport is cheap and easy to use. I also lived near my work each time so when I worked late I could walk home. When I had a country home my partner would never have allowed me to drive 'his' car anyway !

As an American/Swede who's been to Napoli 20 plus times I totally vibe with this guy. It's a beautifully curated shop, (perhaps a tad too on trend tbh which is lucrative but safe) but the prices as expected are no joke. Travelling, shipping, VAT and a big city space requires a steep price tag. Beautifully curated and selected for anyone who's not able to go brocanting in these regions themselves and don't have time for online auctions or the know how. Interesting selection of vintage jewelry too! I however loose interest in owning things that are super on trend and overexposed like 60's - 70's Murano lights are right now. If I go vintage hunting it's for less expected pieces, things misunderstood today will fall into public favor later on (at which point it's time to change it up if you're not too attached! ) Sweden is incredibly trend- oriented in everything (almost everyone wants to be unique the same exact way bc everyone's terribly middleclass) you see. But if you want to do business here, it's a reality you must accept. If you're ever in Stockholm go visit the shop!
