i love the downlights. very helpful to keep the space light and bright. also, it seems like many of the window sills are deep enough that you could put a plant or other things in them, so they can function as storage space as well as window sills. quite handy. another good tour. thank you!
I have one of these houses, slightly different as we have porch on the front which gives a proper coat cupboard with shoe rack between the front door and the first cupboard in the hall, we bought the kitchen island from Symphony kitchens who make the Barratt kitchens, super easy to fit and looks amazing. love the house, warm and cosy in the winter months, light and airy in the summer, the two sets of patio doors are wonderful.
Eeek! I've been waiting for this Alderney house tour 😁 We are moving to an Alderney in a few months time and it's the flipped version of this 🤞 Love your videos, Thank you so much, this has made us even more excited 😁💕
For an American, I'm quite a fan of English history. You are currently in Shropshire, yes? Would love to see and hear more of the history of your area!
About to move into one of these on Friday! I will say though, the showhomes in Tamworth and Banbury are far better. In fact when I went to see this Telford showhome I was quite disappointed! BTW you are right about the kitchen having an island, that is on the top level upgrade and is in the other show homes, improves the kitchen many times over
My friend live son this estate in Lawley except he's got a 5 bed room, I've got to give it to Barratt they make a lot of good design choices and touches, I brought a Persimmons and really regret it now
My neighbour lives in one and it does have the island in the kitchen, which work better imho than the table and chairs. I live in a Folkestone which have been living in for 4 years now and is perfect for us. Great blogs btw 😎 no kids less cleaning lol
Do you know what I’d do if I were a developer.. I’d build two of each house model. One with strictly standard/basic only throughout and one next door with the top spec of every upgrade available to you can really see the difference and stark contrast between the two in an impactful way. Same furnishing/decor so it doesn’t sway you though. That way you can decide what’s worth it to you and what you’re happy to leave as standard.
nice down stairs. I am with Matt & make the formal dinning room into a study. I would also, for future, add a conservatory off the kitchen & living room (doors off both.. I am also believe, like Elliot, that master shower needs a rain fall shower head.I would use the small room as a wardrobe room and have an ironing station..
The house would have been perfect if they had just squared off the back of the house (instead of the patio corner) and used that extra square footage for a utility room with space for a washer and dryer. The garden is big enough to accommodate that. But other than that, it’s a very nice floor plan.
@@ElliotNMatt oh, each time you mention a latch I've looked and not seen a keyhole. I have a front door similar to these but it's about 9 years old so only a key, no latch. Being able to go indoors and immediately lock the door is handy. Not that I'm expecting a home invasion any time soon but it's always useful to have these preventative measures.
That’s why I put ‘From’ £315k in the description box as there are no current plots available on this development. As soon as I know the price I’ll update details. 👍
Strange layout, small windows & a kitchen sink should always look out over the garden.. houses need big windows & a lot of light it's very important, designers have strange ideas, & bathrooms should always have windows. You guys are great & I enjoy watching your videos, xxx thank you.
I’m in a five bedroom house by this company currently, which I’ve been in since it buying it new, I would NEVER, EVER buy one again! Jerry built comes to mind. Wouldn’t give you 80,000 for the house you are showing here, the finishes and workmanship are really terrible by this company!
BARRAT HOMES is not that great. I will strongly suggest to whoever wants to buy from them, to have in write what is coming and what not as standard. When I first see the place I am buying, the salesperson makes it clear we are having hard flooring, carpet, and the shed as standard. Now we have to spend a lot of extra money to have this fitted. I will still have a chat with citizen advice about it. Ohh, nearly forgot how bad we were treated at our appointment.BIG DISSAPOINTMENT
Could have been a truly lovely house but disappointed by some of the design details, haven looked at hundreds of houses I can conclude that Barratts has the worst architectural designers, unbelievable the layout, the front of the house is such a mess, sadly.

Hope you enjoy it! Its a very versatile house!
I actually love this, the formal dining room would make an amazing study which frees up all the bedrooms x
I live in Alderney and it's a great house! 👍
I would love to dress the dinning room for Christmas and special occasions. Wow. Another great tour. Thank you. ☘️🎈

Hello from Liverpool
About to move into one of these on Friday! I will say though, the showhomes in Tamworth and Banbury are far better. In fact when I went to see this Telford showhome I was quite disappointed! BTW you are right about the kitchen having an island, that is on the top level upgrade and is in the other show homes, improves the kitchen many times over

Thank you so much 😀
You guys are great! Even when I’ve been to the homes myself I like to watch you and see what you think!
Thank you! 👍
One thing about you houses or apts, I’m sure, are those many layered racks for the towels. I just love those towel racks over there.❤️❤️
Love you 2 you are the Bees Xxxx
Good❤
Iv just bought a barratt ripon home would love to see you do a house tour on one of those if you have one near you :)
My friend live son this estate in Lawley except he's got a 5 bed room, I've got to give it to Barratt they make a lot of good design choices and touches, I brought a Persimmons and really regret it now
Oooo looks lovely 🥰

Unfortunately there aren't a lot of wooded area in Midwest (live in Central Indiana) more wooded areas north of is in Michigan.
I like the doors into the garden from the living room, that’s different. No on the wallpaper. The house gives me a “50’s” vibe!
Hi Melissa happy birthday 30th April I love your family very well thanks 👪 😊 brilliant
I would make Dining Room into Relaxation Room one chair and nice foot stool!

Any chance you could tour a Barratt Kingsville if there’s one near you please? :)
Would love to if one comes up x
Mini cloffice is cool in the master.

Guys can you do the radleigh pleeeeease x
how does the door lock when you leave the house?
The front door? You turn the key.

Can you do a tour of The Scrivener by Bellway?
I think the price £314,995 is for another house type 'Kingsley'?, which is a lot smaller than the Alderney

You have a flat earth playlist, so nothing you say can be taken seriously.
Yup i own a hellway.
I like it!
Price bit high?
any property in Bristol
Isn’t the Alderney the one you were going to buy?
No That was The Ashop by Countryside Properties
@@ElliotNMatt Ahhh I knew it began with an A…..
Is the Kitchen, the Favourite Room, about 90% of the time, Lads ?
😃♥️🌈
We all know greedy developers like Barratt Homes cut corners and don’t give a shit when things go south on their properties. Avoid. Avoid. Avoid.

Too much Furniture in Living Room and Dining Room
Hi Elliot & Matt lovely house but someone els has done the same house as a vlog mmmmm
This was the last of three show homes for this development to be released.
Could have been a truly lovely house but disappointed by some of the design details, haven looked at hundreds of houses I can conclude that Barratts has the worst architectural designers, unbelievable the layout, the front of the house is such a mess, sadly.
