I love house tours. So I absolutely love them. I started watching The Royal Reviewer about two months ago..... love that channel and this one popped up in my feed. I started watching and enjoyed it. Then came the show home tours and now love you guys even more. My dad was a real estate agent in the US (California to be exact) and as a little kid my family would go to new developments and I loved the model homes as we Americans call them. My cousin worked for a short time for a developer too and visited there too.
I live in the US so I don’t have much knowledge on how UK homes are lates out or what’s in them so this is giving me a little bit of knowledge.

I find it hard that everything is upgrade. Once you build it you would have to wait until you put the extras in especially carpets and tiles.

The houses in these tours are pretty but it shows the difference in countries as to what is expected. Houses here in Canada have built in closets, mirrors over bathroom sinks and toilet holders as standard. Also, fridges and ovens are bigger here.
Which home did you commit to buy? Can you let me know which video to go back to ?
Beautiful house!! I have to say, I'm sensing that I am going to catch up to the present much more quickkly in watching these videos because I think I'm going to opt out on watching all the home reviews. After about the 10th one, I've decided that it's getting a little redundant for me, and I'd much rather watch you guys with the babies in the living room, or in the backyard, or what you bought when shopping, etc. I wish you both the best of everything with your endeavors with the developers, so I'm not criticizing any of it. I'll see you in your other more usual videos. :D
Some of the extras were really expensive, bathroom cabinets.
Come to Australia to build guys. Your prices are exorbitant. Also where do you keep your bed linen, towels etc? We have linen cupboards in our homes, usually located in or near the laundry.
I agree . My closets are stuffed. I can’t imagine where all that could be stashed without a closet.
If you think that's expensive, try the west coast of the US~

Everything is extra. Just buying a home on the market you wouldn't expect to buy the home and then pay extra for the bathroom sink !
Plus the prices of the extras were crazy. I have quartz worktop and paid no where near what they were charging.
these are the show homes. you pick the layout you like and they build that option on your lot and outfit it with the sinks, carpets, etc you want. They build it to your desires. They are showing you one option for kitchen counters/appliances etc and then telling how much the one you are seeing will cost. You can adjust to your budget. I've bought new homes in the US it's the same-- you go thru making your choices what floor you want in kitchen, what sinks etc. This is how it's done. They have to know which ones to put in, and if it's built from scratch why wouldn't you pick the ones you want??
@@MsFeiji I get the concept but it's the extra costs on top of the price of the home suddenly costing you thousands more and it all seems over priced. I would have thought a bathroom sink was in with the cost. It just seems a lot of extra hidden costs
I've heard negative things about Redrow as in they're all show and not quality builds. 😐 The kitchen space is small too. This one didnt grab me at all lol.
The sitting room, definitely is spacious!. No extra space in kitchen for entertainment; obviously that space taken up in the sitting room.
Is it optional to have gas cookers?
Like how amount light you get throughout the house.
Good idea to have plenty of light in all the rooms, which a little draw back in some homes.

Why put Fridge Freezer next to Oven?
boy, I don't like those windows by the front door. break one, and you can reach the locks!! like the separate laundry, room to sort and fold. nice master, guest room, and study/filming room/craft room.

The living room is somehow dark, although having two big windows. I have a doubt concerning English language.. Does "high skirting " can only be employed referring boards? Can you use it to describe another thing? Thank y.
Even though the lounge was bright I didn’t like the room having two windows , it looked odd
Be expensive heating that big downstairs room!
Rainfall showers waste an awful lot of water which is expensive if you are on a water meter.
Once you’ve had one you will never want to go back.
Love how in GB contemporary homes, they still recognize the value of large window sills. Liked the entranceway of this home but lacked adequate cupboards in the kitchen. Otherwise great layout and natural light exposure in all the rooms.

Could someone please explain the entrance rug that costs so much. In the states we don’t have that. What’s special about it?
Absolutely nothing, in fact carpet fitters can do it when they do the living room/stairs.

You have to pay extra for a toilet paper roll holder 😕
You generally don’t get wall mounted toilet roll holders fitted at all yet alone offered as an extra.
They're lovely houses, i pass daily.. But wedged between a motorway and a busy HGV laden main road. Nope, not for that money
