@@mdghorbani5621Because in his story his old master jingliu jeep kill him so many time after boros affected by mara ampat makes blade got ptsd dan makes the 3 of 5 people itself is him, jingliu dan dragon dan heng.
Ngl at 1:15:00 where March says that the statue is Dan heng's brother means so much to me, because of how Dan heng insists multiple times that he is not Dan feng and does not want to be associated with Dan feng. Even though March doesn't rlly know about Dan feng, she indirectly separated Dan feng from Dan heng, which must've been pretty validating for Dan heng. Because of how there are people who accepts Dan heng for who he is, instead of seeing him as the Imbibitor Lunae/Traitor of the Xianzhou
I THINK basically Jing Yuan was worried about the Stellaron Hunters' motives and didn't want to accidentally lure the express crew into their trap. But when he learned what Fu Xuan read from Kafka's mind, he realized the reason they were on the Luofu was to give Blade the chance to make Dan Heng stop running from his past. Jing had faith in the Express crew since the start
@@restart6358That's just how humans are bro... Some will scared/shocked... Some will not... Despite they're looking at the same thing... Its supposed to be a common thing by now...
1:11:48 Jing Yuan did not ask Kafka or the Stellaron Hunters to lure the Astral Express crew to the Luofu. It was the Stellaron Hunters' leader Elio who told Kafka and Blade to lure the Trailblazers to the Luofu. Elio knew what would happen (Phantilya attacking the Luofu). He basically wanted the Trailblazer to grow stronger and gain the power of the Hunt (Lan) so they could defeat Nanook in the future. (Personal theory: Nanook is the final boss of HSR's story but it could change) Sorry for the long explanation, but I hope it's understood kekw
To add on. When Blade was caught in suspicion on smuggling the Stelleron, Jing Yuan did not believe he was the cause, because he knew that there are traitor on the Loufu. He decided to use this opportunity to make a deal with Blade once he realized that Dan Heng is here as well. He release Blade and told him to bring Dan Heng's true power out. And for that to happen Blade need to "kill" Dan Heng. Blade succeeded in his task, thus Jing Yuen let him and Kafka go free. Also side note: Blade cannot go all out unless Kafla lets him. Blade seems to be permanently dominated by Kafka.
He got so caught up in his own head cannon that he wasn't even reading the dialogue properly anymore. It was so annoying to watch him be so aggressively wrong.
@@yannlee7821 Blade has no choice either, if he isn't perma dommed by Kafka, his mara will go wild. Making him more miserable than he already is. So as annoying as it is that he's on a leash, it's for his own good.
1:04:44 I've had my personal theory of "March froze herself as an emergency measure" ever since the departure to Jarilo-VI. She herself mentioned that 1) her powers are Six-Phased Ice, 2) she creates Six-Phased Ice in dire situations (possibly uncontrollably, don't quote me on this one), 3) she was found encased in a block of Six-Phased Ice. But with how it's basically spelled out, it also feels a bit too obvious?
@@yumenoseikatsu Buuuut if I were to think about it for a minute, I could propose "March has some connection to the Aeon of Remembrance and some funky memory stuff happened because of that". Remembrance blessings in Sim Universe benefit ice users, and March takes pics all the time for memento (memory?) purposes, and also all her Eidolons are about memories. Time to get stabbed, March, and reveal your 5* Remembrance form.
There are seven lord Ravagers and we barely defeated one, not to mention she is not even used to the power she gained, I wonder how grandios the fight would be against Nanook
I literally had to stop watching to type this I'm sorry. Jing Yuan *did not* ask Kafka anything nor did she ask / tell him anything related to us coming. He said SHE lured us to the Luofu in order for him to see our sincerity and that we could be trusted (because at first he was wary of our arrival). Kafka told us in 1.0 she did this because we will need many allies on our side or whatever, and she needed to make sure (for Elio's plan, you know, the one she actually takes orders from) the Xianzhou would be indebted to us. Jing Yuan says all this; he says they are indebted to us, just as the Stellaron Hunters/Kafka planned all along. When he apologizes for asking more of us, he's basically saying we already helped a lot, but the crisis isn't over and must be seen through to the end, and in order for that to end, he not only needs us but specifically needs what Dan Heng has hidden in his past memories/subconscious. Also since I'm commenting anyway 😆 your analogy at the beginning is actually exactly what Fu Xuan is saying. The conversation was talking about other options, and she was acknowledging that the current path is the only one that leads to a known good outcome, even if it happens to be the same one the stellaron hunters envisioned. She says no one WOULD choose to jump off a cliff if there was a known alternative, and you said that if a boulder was chasing you (certain death) that you would jump off the cliff (a potential to escape that certain death).
I didn't realize it at first because it reminded me too much of Paimon's dumb / unaware comments, but my friend made me realize March saying the statue looks like it could be Dan Heng's brother was a way to acknowledge and separate him from his past self, which is way more perceptive than I gave her credit for and really sweet 🥺😭
I got the feeling that the reason they killed off Tingyun was to let the players know that playable characters are expendable. It makes that boss fight later that much more suspenseful because you know that no one outside of the MC (maybe) has plot armor. I know it had me on the edge of my seat.
Story's not over yet so there's still more to find out about Ting. If they wanted to kill her character off completely, I think they would have done it a bit differently. This scene was for the shock effect. Game pretty much literally tells you several times that there's a *very* high chance that was not the real Tingyun. Repeatedly and explicitly. We'll have to wait and see.
i think the real Tingyun is still somewhere & alive (hopefully). I felt like Tingyun's "death" scene were more like a "gentle reminder" that they gonna go for the HI3 route at some point in the game & kills off some characters.
58:00 When Blade said you'd experience death.. he knew Dan Feng is immortal & if he take him to the brink of death his Vidiyadra power will kick in to stop him from dying. Blade forced Dan Heng's previous self to come out also satisfy his thirst for revenge which he got a little bit from what happened. That's what I think Bran.
while he experienced dead so many times but always come back to live - it does seems the way u said it, plus he is bound to the stellaron hunters till who know when, maybe until his part of the script is over, one thing is worried me, what will happen when jingliu find him, his and hers thirst for revenge wont end till they find their own peace, im curious how hoyo wrote the future parts, theres so much we heard about but didnt witness happen
Thumbnail changed for those saying it's too spoilery, genuinely didn't think it was since going in without knowing what happens beforehand, it didn't really show anything that'd give much away, may change it back when enough time has passed! Edit: Since it's been over a week now that the quest has been available, thumbnail will be changed back!
usually people follow the rule of week, if its been a week since its been released then its not considered a public spoiler. since people who have enough context to get spoiled just by the thumbnail already had time to do the quest, and people who dont have any enough context wont get spoiled
As someone who tried to go into the quest without much knowledge, the thing in last thumbnail was unfortunately spoiled for me Not only did it make the actual cutscene have less impact, I started to go in with "alright when does this happen" and it really soured the way I perceived this quest. Especially because it was a strong moment with my favorite character, and it just didn't feel good to see it with full context
@@suzannahart I get it, but there's a LOT of images this can apply to, even the one on the current thumb, so I'll probs stick to the rule of a week as Ven suggests above in future (I honestly thought it'd been a week alr but only 5 days ig)
Thank you so much for changing it. The problem is that the visual itself is one of the most impactful aspects of the scene, and the eerieness of it already implies, for somebody who hasn't played the quest, that Tingyun is going to turn on you. The current thumbnail is hard to decipher for somebody who hasn't seen the cutscene and the scene was also in the version trailer, so it's much less spoilery
@@iamdino0 I genuinely think the image used of Tingyun looking back wasn't too bad with absolutely zero context, I can COMPLETELY see it from someone who KNOWS what's happened already for sure, but idk, like I mentioned above I'll likely change it back after a week has passed and go by the 1 week rule from now to be certain. (Also Tingyun been sus af since day 1 LOL)
I really liked that Jing Yuan had different skill and normal attack voicelines when fighting Phantylia. The small details in Hoyoverses games are a pleasure to notice.
Bran Imma be honest with you, I wasnt really seeing the Jing Yuan death flags before. However, in one of your videos you mentioned that he has been spouting so many of it. Its been on my mind ever since and when the livestream dropped I was really anxious with the trailer since it gave the death vibe. I've been on the edge the whole boss fight. I really hope he lives next patch
Meanwhile I’m here worrying about Dan heng bc in Blades characters story he definitely wants Dan heng dead but right now in the xianzhou I think blade is just trying to follow elio’s script, I remembered in the 1.2 live stream that elio promised blade for the ending he wanted I might be overly anxious tho
@@_Bleh_83 They've explained it in the same livestream - the 'ending that Blade wants' is a coffin. His own. Dude legitimately just wants to die, but has to get payback before that happens.
The only thing Jing Yuan ask to the stellaron hunter is to make Dan Heng transform into IL and that also the stellaron hunter aims to make Dan Heng which is the member of astral express help xianzhou and make Jing Yuan in debt to astral express and thus that why Jing Yuan release Blade on purpose in the beginning and basically let them do their own mission, Jing Yuan never ask Kafka anything because all Kafka did is follow Elio instruction to lure us to the Luofu, make Xianzhou people look us as a good guy, make a scenario where Luofu need our help, and thus basically force Jing yuan and Fu Xuan to trust us and let us involve with the stellaron problem Bran just to focus on Jing Yuan thanking Kafka that blind him and denied chat explanation LMAO
I suspect "maintaining humanity" v. other benefits will be an ongoing theme in Star Rail just like "forbidden knowledge" and "erosion" are in Genshin. Cocolia essentially gave up her humanity for the Stelleron's promises. The people of the Xianzhou chose to fight the abundance "gifts" because they believe those gifts essentially did away with what makes them human.
Naming himself Dan Heng so close to his previous incarnation's name is so funny. It reminds of the movie Shang Chi, where Shang escaped his father's grasp and changed his identity to Shaun. lmao
57:28 I think basically he says that regardless of the rebirth cycle, dan heng and dan feng are too similar both in appearance and attitude that jingyuan cant help but treat him as his friend in this case it's not that dan heng suddenly became dan feng. My understanding is that even if they essentially become a child again, they still have their memories, experiences and strength. If you remember your first encounter w Bailu she implies the same thing, which is why she is an excellent healer despite being a child. Dan Heng seems to be an anomaly in that he seems to have lost some of his memories, probably as a result of the "punishment" he had to bear. And here Jing Yuan asks him to try and remember. 1:10:50 I think what jing yuan said was that it was kafka's intention to remove any doubt on the sincerity of the astral express crew on the luofu's books. What's implied from the earlier interaction with Blade where he goes "my task is done" and Jing Yuan letting him go is that he asked them to essentially awaken the vidyadhara in dan heng. I think you confused these two. edit: I guess they actually forget but are guided by wiser generations or something
I think the reason he remembers (or can possibly remember or is able to revert back rather than start from the beginning as a child) is because they exuviated him (partially). So he took on the appearance of a human and no longer looked like he was vidyadhara. Doing that did somehow affect the new high elder Bailu. I've already forgotten my theory about that and will need to rewatch this quest again just for that lol
dan heng as well as dan feng and all his previous incarnations ARE an anomaly but not bc they forget -- it's actually the opposite. usually vidyadhara after rebirth usually is treated as a different person with a new life and they dont have any memories abt their past selves (their past incarnations could leave some advices for them but its not an actuaal memories). however dan heng (as well as dan feng etc) is different since he's an actual high elder - who at some point of his life starts to regain memories of his previous selves through dreams. before dan feng's sin it all went smoothly and all the high elders was basically reincarnations of the first high elder (yubie) so you could say that all of them were the same person (thats actually debatable but in some context it could be true). however dan heng is a different case bc after dan feng's sin he couldn't be a high elder anymore, so vidyadhara preceptors need to chose someone new - bailu (but things not go according their plan lol). dan heng has dreams abt his past selves but they are just some scraps at this point as well as his powers of high elder aren't truly full powers of high elder. he probably could regain those memories in the future if he'll want to do this (...thats probably mostly theory actually)
Abt Dan heng remembering Dan Feng... there's a dragon child npc in the xianzhou garden who kinda explains a bit abt the rebirth cycle. It's seems that they can't remember their previous life but usually their past self would often leave mementos to help the next reincarnation, in the child's case it was a song book. The only plausible explanation is that Dan Feng left something for Dan heng to read along with his spear, explaining his situation, why he was reborn in a dangerous place and that he had to run away. My bet is that Dan Heng IB's chara story will have the answer.
The Heroic era that lead by The High Cloud Quintet. The High Cloud Quintet lead by Jing Liu with Bei Huang as deputy leader and Ying Xin (normal Human), Jing Yuan and The 89th reincarnation of Imbibitor Lunae Dan Feng. Jing Liu Was the strongest general and was the Sword of the Emperor at that time. Bei Huang from the Foxian clan, she is a pure descendant of the white fox, the ancestor of the Foxians. Jing Yuan, just a Rookie soldier. Ying Xin Just an ordinary human but possess extraordinary sword martial arts power. And Dan Feng The 89th reincarnation of IL and have strength like the first IL. Idk what the hell is happen in that era, but what I know is After the war Jing Liu lost control, Bei Huang and Ying Xin die, Dan feng Committed a very big sin in Xianzhou and Jing Yuan become a Hero. As we know now, Jing Liu is Back, Ying Xin is too but he changed himself to BLADE. Maybe for you Dan Heng is IL but that's not anymore, The strength that he has is only half of the original strength, the other half is in Bai Lu. After the Dan Feng betrayal incident, the elders of the Vidyadhara clan chose Bai Lu to become the next IL. But because Bai Lu was not the person chosen by Long, it seems that her strength was only transferred by half, therefore Bai Lu only has the form of a child who should be a mature woman.
Bonus: check the statue of the high elder with Jing Yuan to get additional dialogue. There's a few lines there, but in short, the guy in the statue isn't Dan Feng, but Yubie, aka the high elder who decided to sacrifice their castle to seal the Ambrosial Arbor and who was afterwards stripped of his power by the preceptors (I assume they just did a similar thing than they did with Dan Feng just less extreme, then raised the next reincarnation). In fact if you check it with Jing Yuan, the dialogue says "It looks like a friend of yours", aka, that is not your old friend. And talking about Jing Yuan, the man literally tanked basically divine power from the emanators of **THREE AEONS**! Long's Prolongation (Dan Heng IL), Yaoshi's Abundance and Nanook's Destruction (Phantylia). Just... What a chad, proud to be maining him fr 🥹 (But also incredibly worried because his short animation with Jingliu was already foreshadowing Mara getting him, but this weakened state after taking such risk to save the Loufu is already such a death flag on it's own 😢)
Oh btw, Dan Heng's ability works the way it is supposed to work, it is not any different. Each time he ults, he gains a scale point, which is the yellow point on his avatar. and the next ability he uses, will cost those points instead of skill points (you can take a look at the part Bran uses the attack, the three point on Dan Heng's avatar is gone). If you don't have those, his skill will cost 3 skill points if you E three times. It's just that in this story, they have him fully charged with his yellow points when you enter the battle so it seems like its not costing anything, IT IS COSTING SOMETHING. I'm unsure if that is his passive or is it dev did it on purpose to make our experience better.
I was sus of Ting Yun the moment she started talking when I did the 1.2 quest. I use Ting Yun a lot and it seemed like her voice was deeper in the quest. I just thought she had a new VA but no. She was a whole other b
The story between Jingyuan, Blade and Dangfeng could be found at Mr.Xiyan (The person of the tales of the fantastic) in Loufu, he will tell a story called :High-Cloud Quintet. They seem to all be part of the High-Cloud Quintet, Blade once said that there are five people and three pay the price, Dangheng is one of them but Jingyuan is not. Dangheng seem to caused a bit tragidy that damaged himself, blade and another member of the High-Cloud Quintet, and Blade is seeking revenge.
It's like this: Jing Yuan was suspicious that Stelleron Hunters was involved with Stelleron crisis at first, but the arrival of Astral Express crew lured by Kafka made him doubt that suspicion. And he was wondering why Blade let himself get captured so he "let" him escape to see what's really going on and order the Astral Express to capture Kafka to get more info. Upon Kafka's capture, he knew for certain that Stelleron Hunters were not involved with the crisis Laufu was having and understood that Stelleron Hunters just lured the Astral Express to assist the Xianzhou to solve the crisis and both parties form an allianze for future fight. Blade was there to lure Dan Heng to Xianzhou and awaken him. Without him, there was no way for them to reach the Arbor. Everything went as Elio's script said.
1:20:40 them fucking wuxia man.. the cutscene accompanied by this banger of a bgm just screams 'wuxia' all over the screen. Fucking hell, man. This chapter just made me remember my wuxia novel reading days in high school again..
13:08 Actually, the entire Xianzhou arc has some pretty obvious Chinese xianxia novel tropes and subversions of them! Xianxia novels are all about cultivating towards immortal life and powerup medicinal pills lol. Random immortal masters showing up (Jingliu), hidden powers and identities (Dan Heng), literally flying on and remotely manipulating swords (Yanqing), inner demons (mara), reincarnation (Vidyadhara), celestial beings & transcendence (subversion here with the Sanctus Medicus) and so on are all pretty commonly used tropes. That current Storyteller event going on right now even makes fun of it by turning this entire questline into the most generic Xianxia novel ever, complete with long cheesy names for everything and random powerups lol. If you aren't familiar with the concept or genre though, it definitely appears very convoluted which I think a lot of people have had complaints about for this arc. 😬
I only know HSR just by watching my fave youtubers playing.. can only play genshin on mobile since it took so up much space. Geez it's so different watching HSR, like you can feel the scale, the grandeur.. the "cosmic" feel of everything. It's just feel bigger. I'm gonna upgrade my laptop next month hopefully, I think I'm gonna try installing HSR as well.
You have no idea how many times i saw Tingyun's dangling head after the update goes live lmao (And also kinda makes me going back to check the game again to see wtf is going on)
When you mentioned about March 7th maybe getting a 5-star variation that is her true self, it reminded me that I was thinking about something similar when a Light cone about her in the seven-layered ice that will only be available through story. That possibly the next or later story quest will involve her remembering a little of her past and eventually recover all her memories and past-self, but that her body will also present changes, this eventually connected with a Beta character that has official artwork (I don't know if she was discarded) but she resembles in everything in design with March 7th, except in hair color, now being white, iridescent eyes and holding a flower bouquet. Maybe this is her new appearance after recovering all her memories, and that the story will be about she feeling conflicted with the current identity and the past identity. And also that she may relate to the Path of Remembrance, as it focuses on memories and frozen in the Simulated Universe.
Bran I recommend you play through boss fights in the story in 1x speed. It gives a whole different experience, you also can focus more on dialogues that are present during the fights not to mention the general feel of the fight. Rushing through in my opinion trivializes the boss fight.
It definitely doesn't trivialise it and usually I do, but this was a 3 phase bossfight where you do next to no damage, 1x would have taken so long I'd have gotten bored ngl lmfao
1:04:28 Considering how Kafka when we asked questions in Loufu said about long, Idrilla, ena, tayzzroth ...Akivili the trailbalze... Are all gone now Now we got Long reincarnated...I think March is definitely the Idrilla the beauty and Himeko, Welt could be others we need to awaken to fight Nanook at the end🤔
Sorry for my English, is not my first language. 33:38 Mmmm... There could be a real Tingyun somewhere, but I doubt we even met her. The one we use in combat said that she hasn't met characters (I remember clearly the bit about Luocha) when they know her well. Also, there is the running joke of how she had way too much aggro, but if a part of her is destruction, it would make sense xD Edit: 1:11:36 The moment he learned about Phantylia, he suspected she was hiding in the tree roots, and that he needed to find Imbibitor Lunae to open the way. However, I would argue that Kafka was doing what Elio told her already, because that was destined to happen: the return of Imbibitor Lunae. So I can think of this choices: a) Jing Yuan learned that Yanqing was trying to get Blade, and he just followed him there to save his ass. No idea that Dan Heng was there, but felt thankful to them anyway. b) He suspected _something_ since the beginning, because of Blade and Dan Heng shared history. When Blade appeared in the Luofu, he imagined Dan Heng will probably too at some point. So he just followed Blade and then wait for the right moment. c) And the most feasible one, Kafka probably sent him a _come meet us here later, you are welcome_ message.
Tingyun exists since there are records of her life. Fanta couldn't have just invented a new person out of nowhere and had the Luofu just... accept her and make her one of their officials. The question is what happened to her. Hopefully we'll find out soon...
@@vetreas366 That is why I mentioned the problem that other characters _know her well._ while she doesn't know them back. That of course makes clear the point that there was a true Tingyun. Or at least I thought it was clear. What I tried to say, is that Phantylia replaced her before we even met her, as all the plot was in motion before we arrived to the Luofu. And that the possessed version is probably the one we use in combat. For example in her character voicelines, if you ask her about Luocha. He knew her and she doesn't have a clue of who Luocha is. You could suspect Luocha instead as he is also sus, but... it is not the only suspicious thing about Tingyun xD And you replied while I was editing the comment, it kind of scared me xD
My thoughts: I love Dang Heng as a high elder, I'm definitely saving for him, as for Tingyun..... I was shocked, not scared, but a mix of shock and sadness, hopefully I can know what happened to her, whether she's dead or alive, and if she's dead I'll be extra sad, because I loved her.
I like how Hoyo gives the fandom a reality check on Mc's true personality. Most people think a dumpster diving racoons, but in reality they don't have full back-leaning trust in the express members much less Dan Heng in this scenario as dan heng being a descendant (or reincarnation don't know the details) of vidyadhara was quite a important information that would be difficult to keep hidden. Mc is just kinda... there... hoping not to accidentally become a stellaron bomb, while trying to be somewhat helpful... sure they see everyone on the express as a friend, but they justifiably have reservations.
the plot twist twisted harder than (the hopefully fake) Tingyun's neck! edit: i mean the "real" Tingyun (if she exists) is in a Schrodinger's cat (or fox in this case) situation, since we do not know where she is or her status she is both alive and dead at the same time, Knowing HoYoverse though i can see them killing her off and replacing her with this "Fake" Tingyun
Oh my gosh, March called it, the MC's mind is still in the closet, Jing Yuan, Dan Heng, the music......and this is only the 2nd patch!!! I've got to be honest, I did get a bit lost at points - so many things we don't know...
I was kinda hoping for new trailblazer well there is still one more ark left just the ending was bit like a manga cliffhanger but the effort they put in cutscene and music I guess it's fine honestly
At the waterscape, if you examine the eggs, you'll get some easter eggs and a bit of a lore, possibly potential future playable characters? Some were very interesting. Especially the one about he/she eventually rode the Express.
Hey, why don't you try reacting the Honkai Impact 3rd animation, oh yeah, just for info, welt on the Honkai Star Rail are welt that come from the Honkai Impact universe, that's all told in Honkai impact alien space And also when launching the ultimate the characters will definitely appear an art right? Now in welt's art there are 3 honkai impact characters namely tesla (welt yang's wife) then there is welt Joyce (the person who Give the name to welt yang) and lastly there is void archive He also appears in Welt's flashback when he sees Luocha's photo and also the dialogue when welt joyce gives his name and strength to welt yang in his light cone called "in the name of world"
Bran was seriously missing the plot so much when it came to the whole Dan Feng/Dan Heng thing. Let me lay it out for you: 1. The imbibetor lunae form that he shifts into is Dan HENG's true form. It is NOT him summoning his past life or the spirit of Dan FENG or anything like that. 2. The new powers that form has are Dan HENG's true powers. The powers he had in his sealed form with the wind element were just a shadow of his true powers. It has nothing to do with Dan Feng's abilities, although we can assume that as a past life, Dan Feng's abilities were very similar. So in short, Dan FENG was his past life. As Dan Feng, he had a similar appearance and abilities to the Imbibator lunae form we see Dan HENG take after getting stabbed by blade. The Imbibator lunae form is what the Dan Heng we know has always looked like, but he sealed his power and appearance to hide from the loufu. It isn't Dan Heng becoming his past self, or channeling his past life. That person and their memories are completely gone once he died and was reborn as Dan Heng. It's kinda similar to the whole Pyra/mythra thing from xenoblade. Mythra is the true form, but Pyra is a new identity that is her own person.
Uhm, actually he get sealed by other elder of vidyadraha that why his appearance change and he can’t remember the memory of the past until he comeback to xianzhou When he get stab by blade, the seal get unlocked that why he can get back his true form
@@vietcuongnguyenle8530 ok, I wasn’t sure if the seal they put on him was something he had control over or not. Like, I wasn’t sure if he could have shifted into that form from sheer will

I was waiting on this video till I did the quest myself. Anyway, If Tingyung is dead and still playable, I wonder does that mean signora still has a chance to be in my team?
Kafka lored them to the loufo not by request from anyone, she did it for the stellaron hunters own benifit. Jing yuan thanks her because the whole thing helped the loufo anyway. and yeah the way of ending is a (HUH) moment . no follow on what happend to tingyun or is jing yuan ok. Or what happens next to dan heng.... because he probably will go to the express again, buuuutttt..... will he have this shape and power or go back to damn hung.

I think the boss end cutscene wasn't edited so well. Too many cuts and too many awkward perspectives. Cocolia's was perfect. But this one is still a very solid enjoyable moment
Ok interesting, from how it was stated so Phantylia is a Heliobi serving Destruction…it contrasts with Lan The Hunt who is also part Heliobi…a shapeless alien species that looks like flames…
I wish i could confidantly say that my Jing Yuan is better than the trial one, but i haven't grinded relics enough for that. It took me two tries to beat her with my team of Gepard, Trial Jing Yuan, Welt, and Dan Heng. Thankfully, all i needed to do after the first try was to give Gepard a bit more Energy Recharge.
Yes, she appeared possessed by Phantylia, a Heliobus that is an Emanator of Destruction. The fact she took Tingyun over is... troubling, but they can very easily take people over, and it is hard to deal with them. The real Tingyun's 'spirit' was probably gone some time ago, consumed by Phantylia, even if she hadn't snapped her host's neck and the body burning away.
As someone who's only other Hoyoverse game has been Genshin Impact, where no playable characters have died yet, that Tingyun moment really caught me off-guard. :"D
I'm really hoping by the end of the patch that roadhog somehow plays a bigger role in the overall lineup, currently I just don't see him as a viable pick
Hi love your content!! Minor request, would changing the thumbnail be possible? Plenty of people still haven't seen it/ find it unsettling (as they should but once in the story vs over and over again as thumbnails is different, i can understand why it might be too much for some) Another creator's community pushed such request forward in their comments and seeing as I'm early-ish I thought I'd let you know about it before, god forbid, someone tries to do so in a more hostile matter.
Exactly, it's a funny line but its also super sweet. Idk if anyone missed it per say but i haven't seen anyone mention it

Jing Yuan did not ask Kafka or the Stellaron Hunters to lure the Astral Express crew to the Luofu.
*Elio can see the future (according to Kafka) That's why he told Kafka and Blade to go to the Luofu and lure the Trailblazers.
His arguments make me confused of the lores lol. I feel like it's pretty straightforward.

If that were the case, why doesn't she remember anything? Your theory is good, but that part doesn't match too much.
@@yumenoseikatsu For this part I have no ideas, and I don't really need to? When I say "theory" I do not mean a PhD thesis that explains everything :D
@@yumenoseikatsu Buuuut if I were to think about it for a minute, I could propose "March has some connection to the Aeon of Remembrance and some funky memory stuff happened because of that". there are many theories that make lots of sense, I think we really need to wait and see. I can't wait to find out.

She isn't even injured or anything we just destroyed a body she stole on whim

Signora punching the air rn
i think the real Tingyun is still somewhere & alive (hopefully). I felt like Tingyun's "death" scene were more like a "gentle reminder" that they gonna go for the HI3 route at some point in the game & kills off some characters.
55:08 "Now is not the time," Jing Yuan said calmly.

As someone who tried to go into the quest without much knowledge, the thing in last thumbnail was unfortunately spoiled for me
Not only did it make the actual cutscene have less impact, I started to go in with "alright when does this happen" and it really soured the way I perceived this quest.

I mean he's from xianzhou he's bound to be mara struck at some point
Meanwhile I’m here worrying about Dan heng bc in Blades characters story he definitely wants Dan heng dead but right now in the xianzhou I think blade is just trying to follow elio’s script, I remembered in the 1.2 live stream that elio promised blade for the ending he wanted I might be overly anxious tho
@@_Bleh_83 They've explained it in the same livestream - the 'ending that Blade wants' is a coffin. His own. Dude legitimately just wants to die, but has to get payback before that happens.

The only thing Jing Yuan ask to the stellaron hunter is to make Dan Heng transform into IL and that also the stellaron hunter aims to make Dan Heng which is the member of astral express help xianzhou and make Jing Yuan in debt to astral express and thus that why Jing Yuan release Blade on purpose in the beginning and basically let them do their own mission, Jing Yuan never ask Kafka anything because all Kafka did is follow Elio instruction to lure us to the Luofu, make Xianzhou people look us as a good guy, make a scenario where Luofu need our help, and thus basically force Jing yuan and Fu Xuan to trust us and let us involve with the stellaron problem
Bran just to focus on Jing Yuan thanking Kafka that blind him and denied chat explanation LMAO
i'm literally watching everyone's reactions to the quest, YES
Me too
Same😂
I just skip to the part where Tingyun's neck snaps, the reactions are HILARIOUS
I suspect "maintaining humanity" v. other benefits will be an ongoing theme in Star Rail just like "forbidden knowledge" and "erosion" are in Genshin. Cocolia essentially gave up her humanity for the Stelleron's promises. The people of the Xianzhou chose to fight the abundance "gifts" because they believe those gifts essentially did away with what makes them human.
Naming himself Dan Heng so close to his previous incarnation's name is so funny. It reminds of the movie Shang Chi, where Shang escaped his father's grasp and changed his identity to Shaun. lmao
57:28 I think basically he says that regardless of the rebirth cycle, dan heng and dan feng are too similar both in appearance and attitude that jingyuan cant help but treat him as his friend
in this case it's not that dan heng suddenly became dan feng.

Just... What a chad, proud to be maining him fr 🥹
(But also incredibly worried because his short animation with Jingliu was already foreshadowing Mara getting him, but this weakened state after taking such risk to save the Loufu is already such a death flag on it's own 😢)
1:21:40 We’re not in fontaine, we’re in Watatsumi Island

The Phantylia fight was incredibly ironic for me.
Why?
Jing Yuan, Blade, and Imbibitor were all in my party. With March 7th.

(And also kinda makes me going back to check the game again to see wtf is going on)
When you mentioned about March 7th maybe getting a 5-star variation that is her true self, it reminded me that I was thinking about something similar when a Light cone about her in the seven-layered ice that will only be available through story.
The whole Tingyun neck snap is all becoming the Modern Hoyo meme and it also makes Natsuki's neck snap look more valuable.

Are all gone now
Now we got Long reincarnated...I think March is definitely the Idrilla the beauty and Himeko, Welt could be others we need to awaken to fight Nanook at the end🤔
But Long isn't reincarnated, is he? The Vidyadhara are Long's descendants and carry Long's power, not Long's reincarnations.
The only thing jingyuan ask Kafka for is to reveal Dan heng's power but he didn't ask the stelleron hunters to lure the nameless
Sorry for my English, is not my first language.
33:38 Mmmm...
There could be a real Tingyun somewhere, but I doubt we even met her.
The one we use in combat said that she hasn't met characters (I remember clearly the bit about Luocha) when they know her well.
Also, there is the running joke of how she had way too much aggro, but if a part of her is destruction, it would make sense xD
Edit: 1:11:36 The moment he learned about Phantylia, he suspected she was hiding in the tree roots, and that he needed to find Imbibitor Lunae to open the way.
However, I would argue that Kafka was doing what Elio told her already, because that was destined to happen: the return of Imbibitor Lunae.
So I can think of this choices:
a) Jing Yuan learned that Yanqing was trying to get Blade, and he just followed him there to save his ass.
You could suspect Luocha instead as he is also sus, but... it is not the only suspicious thing about Tingyun xD
And you replied while I was editing the comment, it kind of scared me xD
I'm going to stick my neck out, and say that twist was real head turner. It really broke me.

BEHOLD! PHANTYLIA!!
The TRUE weeds in Jing yuan's garden LMAO
At the waterscape, if you examine the eggs, you'll get some easter eggs and a bit of a lore, possibly potential future playable characters? Some were very interesting. Especially the one about he/she eventually rode the Express.
I love that Dan can pull Kakashi's swag and style with that water dragon but still feel like his usual disposition 😂
Hey, why don't you try reacting the Honkai Impact 3rd animation, oh yeah, just for info, welt on the Honkai Star Rail are welt that come from the Honkai Impact universe, that's all told in Honkai impact alien space
And also when launching the ultimate the characters will definitely appear an art right? Now in welt's art there are 3 honkai impact characters namely tesla (welt yang's wife) then there is welt Joyce (the person who Give the name to welt yang) and lastly there is void archive He also appears in Welt's flashback when he sees Luocha's photo
and also the dialogue when welt joyce gives his name and strength to welt yang in his light cone called "in the name of world"
tingyun haver in 1.0-1.1: why my tingyun always targeted
tingyun haver in 1.2: so this is why tingyun got targeted always
Only clicked on this video to thank Bran for spoilers. In thumbnail. Thanks.
Bran was seriously missing the plot so much when it came to the whole Dan Feng/Dan Heng thing.
Let me lay it out for you:
Uhm, actually he get sealed by other elder of vidyadraha that why his appearance change and he can’t remember the memory of the past until he comeback to xianzhou
When he get stab by blade, the seal get unlocked that why he can get back his true form
@@vietcuongnguyenle8530 ok, I wasn’t sure if the seal they put on him was something he had control over or not. Like, I wasn’t sure if he could have shifted into that form from sheer will
@@spiderdude2099 to be fair it not really a seal
The punishment of dan feng is the aeon blood line which make him become the high elder will be remove from his body so he will be turn back to normal vidyadhara
But half of the elder council don’t want to lose a high elder ( since they can’t have a new one cause the aeon already dead ) that why they only remove half of the blood line
Due to that, the other half stay inside dan feng but turn into hidden state
Danheng can’t awaken that other half by himself that why he stay in human form
Get stab is the factor awaken that other half
@@vietcuongnguyenle8530 yeah I got it.
I was waiting on this video till I did the quest myself. Anyway, If Tingyung is dead and still playable, I wonder does that mean signora still has a chance to be in my team?
The Neck snap was personal
Bran I've been waiting for this since day one godamn finally and thanks for all your videos they inspire me
Kafka lored them to the loufo not by request from anyone, she did it for the stellaron hunters own benifit.
More like Jing Yuan thanked the Stellaron Hunters for awakening IL Dan Heng.
All Tingyun users be utterly confused and shocked AF by that cutscene. *No waifus in Honkai are safe from death.*
R.I.P. Tingyun users and simps.
I'm convinced that boss Yanqing was designed so that Dan Heng, Blade and Jing Yuan can give him an ass whooping
Asked a friend about how they felt during Tingyun's cutscene, they said they were horny.
Bro used like 4 5 stars while I used like most of my characters during this side quest lol
When you realise that Fontaines teaser thing teased Tingyuns fate
The teaser: When can we finally see a real TWIST for once?
Thank you for roasting that Genshin x HSR comparison person ♥ Based
Tingyun is Percival Graves of Honkai Star Rail
So adored by fans, but replaced and forgotten after the main storyline
57:00 Lmao Heng (constant... or permanence) and Feng (maple) actually mean completely different things in Chinese but changing Feng to Heng sounds hilarious in English.
been waiting for your reaction vid for this story quest
in my opinion tinyun was always the ravager bc of the line"benefactor" or at least shes been like that sinse we know her
Benefactor is chinese special calling of someone helped you
Consider xianzhou is represent of china, benefactor is normal word in xianzhou
@@vietcuongnguyenle8530 Is Still The Same Point Noone But Her Calls You That
Im Not Saying It In The Bad Way Btw
@@nemesiseater7306 no one but her call we like that is because benefactor only can be used to someone help you about something big and important example like save your life
@@vietcuongnguyenle8530 Makes Sense But You Arent Understanding What I Am Saying
Luofu was good, with all thoose set up I am not dissapointed, althought I have to say the boss fight feels like a desert more than a main dish this time, prob because all the scene before was to good, solid 9/10 for Me
I also think that way, I think it's because Xianzhou story haven't finished so I guess that like a taste of her true power
I heard there will be 2 more story until Xianzhou end in 1.3 and 1.4
@@skyzell5029that actually make a lot of sense, but I honestly kinda want to see more diverse planet, not complaining thought if We can get similiar story from other ships, man its still 1.2 but I am already hype and excited for 1.3 :')
@@NotSam-ie6ve aye it's normal to be hype, I also can't wait for new characters and new world
I think 1.3 and 1.5 is going to be a patch without any story because they have to keep some players for 2.0
I think the boss end cutscene wasn't edited so well. Too many cuts and too many awkward perspectives. Cocolia's was perfect. But this one is still a very solid enjoyable moment
March made a great job making the atmosphere tho, she sounded so sad that it made the atmosphere
The "shut it, rambling rodent" clound knight is voiced by Alejandro Saab aka Jing Yuan aka Cyno
Welcome to Honkai again people...
I hope Real Tingyun is not dead...
Dan heng splitting the sea is tied with dommy mommy boss for my favorite part of this arc. And for me thats actually saying something.
Ok interesting, from how it was stated so Phantylia is a Heliobi serving Destruction…it contrasts with Lan The Hunt who is also part Heliobi…a shapeless alien species that looks like flames…
I need the interlude coming out NOW. I can't wait any longer
Tingyun snapping her neck made me remember ddlc for a spilt seconds, i never had goosebumps that made me honk
I will always say it, but that Tingyun neck snap moment will forever live rent free in my head
As someone who's only other Hoyoverse game has been Genshin Impact, where no playable characters have died yet, that Tingyun moment really caught me off-guard. :"D
welcome to honkai soldier
@@lumintroll Thanks, i'm not sure I like it here. :"D
@@kirakotobuki9195 No, no it's fine! You'll never need to salt your food again, you can just use the tears!
@@vetreas366 Lol, at least there's something good to come of it-
@@lumintroll The Honkai I know doesn't have cheap death as this..... especially its a fake one.
I'm really hoping by the end of the patch that roadhog somehow plays a bigger role in the overall lineup, currently I just don't see him as a viable pick

Hi love your content!!
Minor request, would changing the thumbnail be possible? Plenty of people still haven't seen it/ find it unsettling (as they should but once in the story vs over and over again as thumbnails is different, i can understand why it might be too much for some)
Another creator's community pushed such request forward in their comments and seeing as I'm early-ish I thought I'd let you know about it before, god forbid, someone tries to do so in a more hostile matter.
Thanks in advance and I hope you're having a great day😊👍
Yes! I've been waiting for this reaction!
Its honestly really subtle but, I actually do like that they added the nine-tailed fox aesthetic to the back of her outfit
