I’m one of the photographers for the Seattle Mariners and I use the G 11 as a candid compact camera. It allows me to get very nice personal pictures of the team without looking too aggressive. I love the controls and the mirror less advantages. My advice is buy this camera for great pictures and candid street style shooting.
1:55 You have an interesting gesture to show the number 3 =) In our country it is customary to count from the index finger, so we would bend the little finger and thumb. But for example, in Europe, on the contrary, they count from the thumb, so they would bend the little finger and ring finger
I was just GIVEN this camera with case, etc. yesterday. Since I own a couple Canon 310 Elphs I figured out most of the settings quick. Most. It seems it takes too many steps to erase a file. Even with stabilizing on I don't recommend anything under a 60th of a sec. Shop and compare. Not sure about that neutral density filter. Is it really a filter? No. It either affects the f stop or the ASA. Oops...ISO.. Ok, It's a real 3 stop physical filter. That's a big deal. Very impressive.
I was waiting in Jessops at Tottenham Court Road when they received their shipment. I bought two of them. They've been all over the world and I still have both and use them. Also have a G1X but that's another story. One of them has the infamous thumbwheel problem, making changing A/S a pill until you discover you can hold the S button in and just jog the settings by pressing Macro to go down and Flash to go up. Still excellent cameras. Remember that workaround for the thumbwheel.
I assume your next review will be G12, and potentially G15. I am expecting you to say which is your preferred one after completing the series: G1/G9/G10/G11/G12/G15/G16/G1X Many people, including me, are thinking on maybe buying one, so really interested on which one would you pick. In my case, I think I tend to shortlist this to the following ones: G9/G10/G12/G16 - G1 is too short in resolution - G1X, I already had it, also the Mk2, and I sm looking for something less clunky (I have my Ricoh GR3X for top notch quality) - G11 seems to be a middle ground which is not very interesting - I think WiFi is the only relevant difference between G15 and G16, so why to go for G15? Key points for me: - film like (this is the main reason making me consider G9/G10/G12 and not directly going for G16), so CCD vs CMOS - I don't like articulated LCD screen for this camera (so this is why I am cosidering G9/G10 and not only shortlisting to G12 for CCD sensor) - G9 vs G10, are the extra megapixels worthy? With a small sensor, maybe having bigger pixels is better to gather more light and having less noise? - of course, I want the best autofocus possible, the quickest camera possible, the best low light performance possible, the less clunky possible, etc, but the key point here in this kind of purchase is getting a camera which reminds film... So which one is having the best compromise between film look and performance? I will wait for you to pick one at the end of this series, till now I have the impression that your conclusions are always similar (they are good cameras), but I don't see a lot of critical comparison and you positioning yourself in favour of one or another...
Well, I used to have a G12, but the dreaded LENS ERROR came up, so that might be the end of it. Just to have in mind that these cameras might have this problem with the lens out of the blue.
Yeah, the G11 is really great and it still outputs great results as well as fun to use. Thank you so much for watching as well as for sharing. I wish you a great time, stay safe and have fun shooting! :-)
I am glad you found me funny, haha. I thank you very much for watching and also for commenting, very much appreciated it. I wish you a great time, stay safe and have fun shooting :-)
I am deeply sorry if the way I talk has offended you by any way… English is not my native language and I am doing my best to improve the way I speak… I thank you for watching and I am deeply sorry again for how I speak. I wish you a good time, stay safe and have fun shooting

Which camera would you prefer for everyday use? G10, G11 or G12?
