My washer is 12 years old, I just cut an 8 x x10 door hole in the front bottom of the washer to access this heater thermocouple part( So I didn't have to deal with the washer boot). Pull on all of those wires, one at a time, they move and vibrate with the washer drum, and more than one may be broken. None of my wires were broken, just a bad thermocouple/heater unit. Go to McCombs supply to buy the part.

Glad you found the broken wires, but you should have used a wire-splice or better yet, solder them back together and heat-shrink the connector. From watching a bunch of these videos and reading the many comments on this error code on these washers, I've come to think that the problem is more often related to connectivity issues to the thermistor, rather than the actual probe failing. I think that due to repetitive vibrations that occur when the drum spins and agitates, the connections to the this sensor become intermittent, and in some cases, break altogether. It's very important to secure the wire harness using wire-ties, and to inspect the thermistor's wire harness connector by opening it up and looking at the terminals inside. They may have vibrated loose, backed themselves out of the body of the connector, or broken off entirely inside, depending on how bad and how long the washer has been punishing the connector. Another thing I'm wondering based on the comments on other videos is if there could be a build up of hair/lint/etc in the area around the heating element and thermister? I don't know if anyone has looked into that, but it makes sense that if there is too much debris in there that the sensor/element would not work as designed. I put my machine back together with the original thermistor and ran 4 loads without it erroring out. So far, so good. If it fails again, I'm going to look into cleaning out the cavities where the thermistor and element are mounted. If anyone has already done this, please add on to this reply.

Thanks a lot. When I pulled on the white and the blue wire from the thermistor connector, they easely came appart. It was weak and most of the copper wires where probably cut causing a bad connection. All due to to much vibrations (bad floor). I redid the connector, soldering and adding electrical tape. I made a flat wood base to stabilize. It seems to work...

New washer and dryer machines are nice tell they break anymore full electronics like sensor in them that fail that make expensive repairs compared old simple machines. Knock on wood my old whirlpool front loader been very reliable and fairly easy to work when needing serviced

What is the point in your video if you have no solution?

TE=Temperature Error. The problem is heater(ntc) or heater relay on the control board

yep i fixed it the wires underneath the tub came off the connector so i used pvc cement glue and put them back into the wire harness not problems for of a year when i told the Lg dealer that they were shocked that fixed it. free fix.

Its a bad thermistor. Sometimrs just jiggling the wires under the washing machine fixes it.

Jaja... it worked for me.... the got From this video just open and closing the door make it work again. At least it is a temporary fix... I already changed the sensor. It worked several cycles and then the tE showed again.

MY Samsung WF218/XAA washer gave TE error code. replaced thermistor & heat coil. Didn't fix it. Checked wiring. Broken orange wire at the harness in back. the wire leading to the thermistor. Fixed it with shrink wrap n tape. Anybody need a 7yr old heat coil n thermistor?

Actually I will take it lol. Im having to fix mine. I took everything apart and saw the wire was out of the thermistor connector so I put electric tape on it and it still didn't work. I have to take it apart and splice it now.
