You can still get those scalpel knife handles that GW used to do! They're made by Swann Morton (GW used to outsource them), and they're called the retractaway handle. Hope this is useful!

I think the small elevation of the doors is so that they fit the Zone Mortalis: Floor Tile Set. ... Really loving the content you guys are making on the channel!
Looks like the big door also has divots cut in the middle of the underside of the floor bit as well - maybe that's to let it fit flush with the raised border in between the squares in the tiles?

apart from the stability the gate inlets give the parts, it also means that you get the material more evenly dispensed through the miniature or terrain piece, meaning less pronounced mold lines and more precise moulding. My only gripe is how they put some of them on things like hair, etc, where it's hard to get rid of without making an unnatural looking 'flat' part.
If it hasn't been said already, I think the top parts of the columns are reversible so as to stack better. ~If you're not stacking you use the gubbins-parts side up. ~If you're stacking you use the other side up so they stack better. In the GW designer's vid they talk about when stacking them right side up on top of right side up, they're the height of a Sector Mechanicus support strut/leg thing. So can slide right under a SM walkway/floor piece. If you right side up then upside down stack, it gives that lil bit of extra height so they line up flush with the Sector Mechanicus flooring/walkways. Blaster was here... & can't wait 'til my 15lb+ box of Grimdark Necromunda horror comes in!
Brilliant idea Ash, showing us a another one of your excellent videos, explaining how to put this set together the correct way as well as safely and BTW removing those connecting bits with the back of the knife rather than the mould line tool, seems so much quicker and less messy and WOW the speed of that glue instead of citadel is 20 times quicker per edge, no wonder you get these done so incredibly quick. This video really is WOW, never seen anything like this before showing "how to" with all these great techniques
Man. I wish I was wealthy enough to be all excited, but that price tho... Maybe if Necromunda was, and continued to be, the only game I played. Just have to live vicariously through you. So if I was just starting out, I would need to buy this and what else?
Only "Requirement" from my understanding would be Gangs of the Underhive, if you wanted to play with different gangs - if you wanted to try the books first before buying there are always the PDFs you can access online
@@2Mini2Fun yeah. I might look into that. Sometimes it can take effort to find. And my friends usually look to buy. Sadly because of that they mostly play non-GW games at this point.

I couldn't possibly agree more that Alien3 is the perfect inspiration for Necromunda terrain! Absolutely what I'm going for w mine. And I've got the soft spot for that movie too. Haters just don't get it...

Real problem for me is that it is $578 (NZ) from the local Warhammer store. We do have one online discount store, but I really like to support FLGS, especially since I used to own/run one.
It's nearly a weeks wage don't mess it up !! But really this game is void for common people it ironic that it's set in the bowels of the hive where only the poor est dare live but they couldn't afford the very game that's made about them it's bloody plastic 😆😆😆 gw has lost its mind !

you talked me into getting it, i got the feel good game of the year dark uprising. The fluff reminds me of christmas I tell ya!
If cut while removing mold lines just use some crazy glue. also remember to wash the blood off before painting.

Isn't corpse starch a major food source for most big hives? I swear I've read it in books that happen on non-Necromunda worlds
