My son is experiencing foot drop from a knee dislocation and the orthotic he was fitted for really was not practical for an active 16 year old athlete. I have one. It is very nice for hiking. The brace that I had before caused pressure points in my foot. This brace helped to elimenate those pressure points. I recommend it.

Atrophy in both legs? Its just my left and its pretty bad with nerve damage (femur). Im all for taking the rod (internal fixator) out of my leg. I was missing 6 inches of bone in my left femur with shrapnel ripping the nerves apart. The nerves in my left leg never healed right and I lost feeling in my left leg like that ending up with foot drop.
I cannot imagine walking normal. After hip surgery, nerve compressed and could not move leg or foot. Fortunately I have been able to move my leg, but my foot flops to the floor, or if I don't lift my foot high enough barefooted, stub my toes and can fall, so far hit into walls that save me. I have worn sandles with 3 sets of Velcro so I can set my foot into a shoe. Would love to wear a pretty pair of shoes and not this big orthotic, which I wear morning to bed time. I want to try this.
Should I buy one? How much is it going for now? I saw this like awhile back like 10 years ago cant remember. I think they made something new now compared to this. Should have made one at Airforce Academy wtf.

I emailed them requesting further info about 2 weeks ago and haven't gotten a response back yet. He won't anyone answer how much it costs for this brace and if it's covered by insurance or not? Is it a big secret? I have permanent foot drop due to damage to the peroneal nerve in my left foot when my knee was dislocated from being hit by a truck. Before the accident 6 years ago, I was extremely active in physically demanding sports full contact football, basketball, soccer, kickball, and competitive martial arts. I'd give just about anything to be able to participate in those activities again or at the very least, just be able to run or jump again. If this brace will help me, then I'd greatly appreciate someone contacting me back with he info I requested.
