I'll be at the MGM Grand this Sunday. Travelling 3200 miles to see them. I hope you'll be as happy as I am. Saw them in 2007 at the same place and cried my eyes out when they hit Unchained after the drum solo. This is my favorite song. I can still play it if I detune my guitar. Men can cry. When they're happy, that is. The Universe loves Van Halen. You should too.
I think I'll be going to see em again in London, Ontario, too. It is too good not to see it again. I have seen VH 5 times (twice with Sam) and with the news of Ed's cancer scare returning last year (twice), I will see them while they are on top of their game while I can and support the band. I got to hear songs performed that I had never heard before live (like Outta Love Again and Hear About It Later). Finally, my bucket list is complete.
I rate MSG, Philly (was there) and Boston as maybe the three best night I've seen on youtube. All three cities really went apeshit showing much respect for the Mighty Van Halen.
@sadaist Yes the REAL VAN HALEN destroys all live and on stage! I saw them at Mohgan Sun Arena couple days after this show! I wonder if you can get a copy of that very cool pic of them that rises up at the beginning of the show? Awesome Setlist. Thank God they did the right think and got back together with DLR in 2007 and are keeping it going on now and for good ! No more Sammy Hagar please!
Yeah good point on the cancer thing. I'd hate myself dor not going if something were to happen. Better tailgaiting weather in July too. Have a blast and Stay Frosty.
vetter200 you are an idiot. Wolfie just playing root note. Nothing more. Any bar band bass pkayer could do what he is doing. Would be playing for 50.00 a night if it wasnt for his daddy.
You dont deserve to watch this video for using a word like Rubbish.... im kidding but i agree most people dont ejoy concerts as much because they hold up there phones the whole time. i made that mistake at this concert but it was amazing anyway

Ladies and gentlemen, The Mighty Van Halen! Now bow to your masters!!
R.I.P. Eddie 😢 One of a kind virtuoso talent who inspired so many guitarists!

yes...bombastic...these guys have never sounded better
Nothing wrong with starting the show with the best song they ever produced! Nope, nothing wrong with that at all!
Same song they opened with at MSG in 1984. Awesome.
This is an amazing guitar rifff. It never gets old.

just brilliant!
was at this show Van Halen was on fire!!
Yep, agree and sorry for the over sight! They've just announced more dates in the Summer so I will catch them again in either Philly or NJ!
@sadaist Yeah, it was a great opening! - the bands photo rising up on the giant screen to the sound of Eddie's drop-tuned power chords.
That was epic. Thanks for posting.
I'd add Montreal to that list. I was there front row center. Montreal loves Van Halen.
Greatest ever!!!!
HAHAHAHA look at Ed just havin some fun at 0:52-0:56. love to see that.
I still get a kick outta Ed's bunny hopping at the beginning!

The Mighty Van Halen...
Wolfgang is no Michael Anthony
Christopher Davis Not on backing vocals but as a Bass player he's superior.

Good;.....But bottom-end (at least on this song ) sounded better with Anthony;.....To me anyway.
KNEEL. THE GODS. =VH=
