- Battlefield 1 has some obscure weapons, and this one is arguably the rarest of them all, I never see it and I have barely used it but it does work great! Leave a LIKE and a comment, thanks for watching.

The player's name was Cocodrie, a very common word here in Cajun south Louisiana. _Cocodrie_ is French and means "crocodile." While alligators are not crocodiles, cocodrie is what we Cajuns call alligators. Which are freaking everywhere here in Louisiana.

It took me *weeks* to unlock that thing and I barely even use it
@@lukas97671 most of them were easy (thanks to the awesome BFwiki & ofc Jack's tutorial videos) but repetitive, but still fun to solve nonetheless (I had another laptop besides mine for the videos, map locations & to solve the Morse code)
Well except Smoke Monster (Conflict dog tag) which was a pain in the rear without the ability to have a spectator cam (I don't know how to access it when you are the only person on the server) and basically a lot of trial-error & P&C. I was onto the last step of lighting the disco floor.
But thankfully a very kind guy/gal from the awesome BFEE community/clan jumped into the server & helped me through that remaining bit!!
I'd been using the Peacekeeper with my primary Assault & Recon classes until my GPU died last year (but at least I had surpassed 1000hrs on my now 7yr laptop)

This game is still the best like, multiplayer pvp big map shooter I’ve ever played. Since launch, to the Russian release, every game was memorable and the dlc was near perfect.
What? I heard this game is almost dead on pc, even when bfv was launching
@@mtheusaddams755 it is kinda hard to consistently find full lobby’s. True. But if you can find one, it’s worth stick around. Because this, IMO, is the best battlefield can get atm.

@@beardedxdeath bfv hardcore servers helped the game feel more like WW2 only because it felt realistic. Bf1 kinda feels realistic. Them taking away sweet spot mechanics and spotting etc just ruined bfv altogether. I wish I hadn’t got it and ever played it. Bfv is one of the worst games I’ve ever played. Period.

I remember people being down on this game for feeling "arcadey" back when it came out but I never got that complaint. It's one of my faves, definitely my favorite bf game
Every single person was crapping on this game from the beginning. I played bf4 at the tail end of its release and caught so much hate for saying i liked bf1. But lo and behold.
One of the most underrated battlefields imo
I actually have a few service stars with the Howel, and I would recommend using the AA sights, they're offset as well but don't obstruct your screen as much. Once you deal with the obstruction the gun becomes a bit more user friendly, and personally one of my favorite medic guns.

It would be cool if it was an actual ww1 game though. All the experimental weapon bs really detracted from the experience
@@romanrat5613 it was never meant to be a hardcore game either.
It isn't a sim or perfect representation of WW1, it's just a fun arcade shooter like CoD but with a different style.
And as far as the experimental weapons are concerned, sure most of them weren't used in the war but they are derived from/based upon actual documentation/mentions of such weapons, they aren't solely a creation of one's imagination.
@@sushimshah2896 of course, but still, ww1 was a war of bolt-action rifles. I figured dice would have a little more creativity in how they would make that work instead of just throwing in a bunch of prototypes that were never used. And besides, they could have still those LMGS, as well as things like the RSC, Federov atvomov or MP-18. It’s not like it needed to be strictly bolt-action rifles. Another thing that would have been cool is if they put that great terrain deformation to good use and maybe let us dig some trenches.

And if they allowed you to dig trenches then they obv wouldn't make it realistic where you'd need to spend 5+ mins just digging a single trench.
But you can certainly deform the ground enough to get cover by placing dynamites in a row (or in a single place one after the other) or with any other grenade (especially the AT ones)
@@sushimshah2896 I wouldn’t mind if it only took a few shovel digs to build a trench. I just think that would have been a really cool and unique mechanic
I still love how immersive the maps in BF1 felt. I hope they can capture some of that in 2042.
imo they should’ve deleted BfV and started work from BF1 again for BF2042
@@peterfranzi643 Nah the movement in BFV is needed, things such as climbing over walls, rolling, crouch sprint etc made it all so much better and less clunky.
@@slyfox333able I mean you could still do that alot in BF1, its just that the maps didn't make it so.
@@groovy8457 Reaching up and climbing over walls higher than you, crouch sprint crawling on your back, rolling etc as I said above were not present until Battlefield V

This game is so good that it feels brand new when i play it. Fitting the thematic very well but without having to be historically accurate and making it fun, i’m looking at you BFV and not even talking about you Vanguard...
bfv was and is a quite good and fun game. its just the pr hellhole that fucked it

@@borkwoof696 i wonder why it was short. they had the content, but because they didnt have the sale numbers they didnt appoint teams to proper introduce it. just look how the number exploded after the introduction of the pacific update.
@@georgeg9225 it was short since launch because the development was super rushed since they originally didn’t plan on making a ww2 shooter. They were basically always half a year or more behind in schedule. That’s why they were constantly drip feeding the little content they had.

I think BF1 is the most atmospheric and immersive Battlefield to date.
Its amazing how so many weapons were implemented into the game. DICE really went the extra mile to give WW1 a very grand scale feel and I love it,

The Howell sounds so good. I used the sniper version since I always struggled with the factory sights.

I only wish BF5 was made at the same standard as BF1. BF1 will go down as one of my all time favorites. Great gun play, the atmosphere is completely unmatched by any other game in my opinion. Loved this one

Probably not, on PC back when the game launched hackers could turn themselves invisible and fly around the map as a magical floating gun.

When the game was still supported DICE made some attempts at patching certain hacks, but I remember before I stopped playing invisibility cheats had started popping up again. I suppose fly hack was never properly patched either and cheat developers kept it for themselves, waiting for DICE to fully diverge their attention to the next game.

Hands down best game I’ve played. love seeing video updates about BF1 awesome to see the community isn’t dying out like in many others
Love the sniper varient of that gun, its definitely my go to medium distance gun, can spam if you need but can also take those longer ranged shots
So miss this game dont think we appreciated how good it was at the time.
It's still is, lots of full servers 24/7 at least on pc.

Spent around 15 hrs unlocking it , it was ass with all those Morse codes and oh god that smoke puzzle shit was the hardest
True, getting the Conflict dogtag was the hardest, I'm glad a BFEE member popped into the server & helped me with the last bit of lighting up the disco floor

Howell with the AA sight was utterly amazing! My favorite gun in BF1
The Howell with the scope is my favorite medic gun. So underrated. Fires fast, accurate, big clip and good damage. My go to rifle for most situations.
Rarest gun is definitely Peacekeeper. The Howell is actually a BEAST!

One of the things I’m worried about with BF2042 is that it won’t have any atmosphere to the setting of the game, such as BF1 did so well. To me it seems a little arcade-y and generic, but I’m still excited for it.
idk why but I always loved the ttk and weapon interaction in bf1 the most it just felt so satisfying
Jack bringing up 40k makes my heart happy as all hell. Yeah it's called the Leman Russ after the Primach of the Space Wolves legion. Though a better comparison would be for a Macharius or Malcador pattern battle tanks.
What he probably has in mind is actually the Land Raider... with the tracks going all around the tank.
I'm with Sefri Bu on the Land Raider. Leman Russ with its turret on top and sponsons on the side looks more like the love child between a WWI and WWII tank.
Either way, it is nice to hear Jack talking about 40k.

When I first tried this gun, I didnt liked it. Felt like another peashooter. Then I gave it another chance, and realized its great potential - even better with a trigger finger. Now its one of my favorite medic guns.

also with the scoped variant too, you can literally hunt down snipers if u got good aim and positioning

Use the Howell factory with AA sights for range it's really easy to hits shot and im really not to sure why but somehow it works.👍
I have never seen such beautiful graphics as those in the Battlefield games (playing on PS4), I only started playing late last night but have not played online yet. The single player offline game is super intense so will try to get accustomed to everything before having my posterior handed to me on a plate online.

Fun fact: The Howell was an attempt to convert the standard issue SMLE MKIIIs of the British into a self-loading rifle. Needless to say, it didn't work out as intended. I think some of them were even issued to the British Home Guard in WW2.
Since it was one of those "experimental" guns, it was introduced only at the end of BF1s life cycle in the Apocalypse DLC.
Ah yes the Howell :D I loved it actually in all its quirkiness. Actually think I had a game against you in that burned forest map with crumbled buildings and some church, and also those placed artilly gas thingies :D
