Perfect camera angle on interior drivers side, perfect circuit. Please give us more of this kind of onboard with HOTLAP then tail out fun! Absolutely gorgeous driving!
This video is amazing, absolutely gorgeous, an unexplainable art, best moment in my life, i love you! please share another videos too.. i think i'm gonna cry ::(
It's probably more Subaru than Toyota.... I have the 86 MY15, was surprised to see just about every part has a subaru stamp, including the body panels... The wheels I bought for it came with M12 nuts for Toyota studs (1.5 pitch) and I had to take them back, had my local wheel shop scratching their heads for a bit which was amusing... It's a Toybaru right down the wheel studs ;)
the esp is blinking all the time but he is able to drift the car?! did they disconnect the esp intervention or is the car so driftable from the factory even with it on?? also, i would have expected the boxer to sound better.. like the old sti's.. other than that, nice :)
Drifting and drifting again and again.. I wonder how the result would be with tyres having much more grip (if this is possible)... the time is already really good!
As far as I know, with turbocharger kit, the engine can easily overheat. But in terms of horsepower and torque its suprisingly tremendous from 2 litre engine (capable of (400-500hp+).
Supercharger don't create as much back pressure in the exhaust and also torque output is more flat ;-) It's much more driveable but if you're looking for much more power than 400bhp, Turbo will be the answer (with build engine though).
Like many doing trackday with a daily car. backseat and panel can easily be re-installed again after a saturday on circuit and go back to business the next monday. + there is no roll cage and the exterior didn't look like its a track only car anyway .
It takes less than an hour to remove the rear panels and same time to put them back so doable by anyone at home while a full strip takes more than a day to one man even though it might be the next step on this car.
No, this actually wasn't the Point of my Question. I was wondering if they roll it out like that (like for the BMW GTS). My Problem here is: They are Comparing Lap Times, but if you throw the Back Seat etc. out you'll easely safe approx. 50KG which WILL make a Difference in the Outcome. At Least for the Seat which was tested last time this didn't seem to be the Case. Im not angry about it or anything. It just isn't really fair this way, you know?
Mcboernester It's hard to test and timed many prepared cars i think. The goal here is giving us references with known cars. Of course, prepared cars have less constraints than stocks but since many years some people thought that is just tuning and this time lap prove them that it's actually not. (Scuse if I have made some mistakes, I'm not good with english despite my studies)
Mcboernester It's like saying it's not fair to compare OEM car vs "well tuned" model ... if done properly obviously it'll be faster, the point is to compare and show what it can do in this state of modifications. Plus back seat and rear plastic are more like 5 to 10 kilos, not a big deal. Rest of the weight is carbon trunk/hood, carbon propshaft, lighter wheels, lighter brake discs, lighter seats.
HKS are telling me the V2 version of the GT86 super charger can't be upgraded as there isn't enough room for a larger pulley to increase boost, so I'm guessing this is a built motor and not just bolt ons?
Stock engine, V2 results given by HKS are based on a restrictor you're suposed to instal which is removed here by working hard on increasing fuel capacity with fuel presure demand and % demand of the direct injection to compensate the port injection limitations... among quite a lot of other tuning and little mechanical tricks ;)
Wow, that's a bloody good result then.... If you guys ever consider expanding to Australia or have a partner down here let me know! My 86 is ready and waiting... Fantastic work!!
HandsomeAlex25 HKS HIPERMAX 4SP and the whole Whiteline catalog. Car deserve wider rear tire, more agressive front camber, more caster and softer rear to gain another one or two seconds but we finished "building" that car the night before the test.
Nice car, but the suspension doesnt look like its set up perfectly just yet. Car seems to understeer on corner entry, and oversteer on corner exit quite a lot...
Very nice GT and good lap. Plz more videos from the outside. And a better lap time is possible with better rims ? My GT has @ the moment 330Hp. But Turbo. Check my channel if you are intressted.
Great driving! Just sold my GT86 yesterday because of studies, and right now I'm reminiscing of all the good memories 😢
Perfect camera angle on interior drivers side, perfect circuit. Please give us more of this kind of onboard with HOTLAP then tail out fun! Absolutely gorgeous driving!
Also some tasty Drifting at the end :D
GT86 is so well balanced. I want one with HKS kit!
That cornering at the end was class
You, sir, are a fantastic driver.

It's an 86.
Wowzamagoogification same thing fuckstick

C'est trop cool !
Sehr Geil
this guy drive very well

That is badass

nice drift, peace
that was amazing.
Bravo à Monstaka!
I’m considering buying the HKS v3
But in my location the highest octane is 87. Will the kit run properly and ecu remap be compatible with this?
Whats the top speed?
More drift scenes PLEASE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Nice!!!!
what exhaust is on this one im looking to get a new pipe for mine
Handling 400hp very well.
What tyres were on this?
Jolie sonorité, vidéo sympa ... Merci !!
Quel est le prix du kit? Parce que cela paraît être une "danseuse" née !
3500€, après faut cata + pot etc etc ^^ une prépa a plus de 5000€ mais la voiture reste pas cher vu ce qu'elle peut devenir ^^
Is it me or does it sound similar to the 4AGE ?
sure it does.
I have a 4AGE and it does not sound like that.
Robeee E It kinda does, interior-wise.
U have wacthed 2 much initial d
lol cool dorifto in the end
damn is this stock internals? didnt know the hks charger can make that much power on a fa20 platform
stock interns yes, 140whp stock, 280 to 333whp depending on gas used ;-)
What would this kit roughly cost?
Power mods at MONSTAKA are 6995 EUR without labor/tune
damn dude, drive the wheels off that thing. well done
Sounds like VTEC^^
звук приятный )
Originals tires?
Nope. At the beggining of the video we can spot some Rays wheels or something alike. That looks like a 255 rear thread
They should come out of the factory like this.
Hey Mr Toyota, that's the GT86 you should sell!!
what about tire size ?
235*18 , could use a lot more grip with wider and stickier tires but that was a first attempt on the track for that car.
How is the reliability? Are there any overheating issues?
The clutch is crap and they cut corners in a few small areas. The engine is fantastic though!
zero issues on any of these kits ;-)

This is what they should add GT86 in MFG, not a turbo that only gets up to 300hp
Im confused.... is it normal for the car to be stripped down ? If so, why does it still have navigation and A/C ?

Krl0 Also curious, what kind of suspension modifications were on this car? Cause it's definitely not stock.

Well it is pretty bloody quick as is. Very nice indeed.
Sweet juice bra!
EXHAUST name ???
FrankSlade1994 HKS HIGH POWER SINGLE ;) in stock at MONSTAKA
ce bruit :)
heel-toe.... YO!
Nice car, but the suspension doesnt look like its set up perfectly just yet. Car seems to understeer on corner entry, and oversteer on corner exit quite a lot...
great power, just the car is not setup right
It's setup fine. But everything has to be setup for full race and grill driving. It's setup for fun. ;)
It's setup for fun. Not every build has to be full race and max grip. This video showcases the HKS V2. ;)
انننشههد انه طاره ^
انننشههد انه طاره ^ TOI MEME ! lol
why doesnt sound like sti?
Because it is not a STI...
Equal length headers
too bad grip
You forgot your helmet when on a racetrack.
Anton Nikitin
My first thought too! No helmet but a racing seat with a factory belt? No harness bar?
Way to set a bad example to everyone...
Very nice GT and good lap.
Plz more videos from the outside.
And a better lap time is possible with better rims ?
My GT has @ the moment 330Hp. But Turbo. Check my channel if you are intressted.
weight reduction, engine tuned, still lose by m4 lol
Still 3 times cheaper
Still 4 years ago, same price we now offer much better brakes, much better traction and 50bhp more... bye bye M4 :-)
in the test is it on E85? It seems to slide too much what to change to improve the grip?@@Krl0
