Makers like Tramontina and Sabatier leave the tips on latin machetes blunt on purpose, so that if you chop towards the ground and hit a rock or something, it doesn't get damaged. It's a feature, not a flaw, but most westerners are surprised by it and want to "fix" it.
lol yes, I fixed mine! in Florida, I don't have a ton of rocks to worry about and I plan to use it for more that just slashing brush! Thanks for the perspective and watching!
Don't listen (pay attention) to any one who is critical. The main thing is, "Did you Die?" LOL. Another good video, plain and simple using the blade they way most people would be using it. Looking forward to the next one! -Tony with Po Boy Adventures.
Man that was a good dude that you got on the machete. I think it worked well for what you need it for. To me it was pretty sharp if it shaved the hair off your arms like that. Man you had me screaming when you were shaving the hair off like that. Me and Sharp objects don't get along too well. But it definitely a nice tool to have when you go kayak camping. We really could have you something like that this weekend. We had a blast on our trip man. My little brother really really enjoyed kayak camping so much that he wants to go and buy himself a kayak to join us on our kayak trips. The Rapids did get him a couple times but he enjoy getting wet because it was very hot out there. But that is a nice machete you got. Thank you for sharing this video and I hope you and your family have a good weekend buddy.
Lol I shave my arms all the time to test sharpness! I don't always cut myself! Lol I'm glad your brother enjoyed himself! Great job getting him into the hobby! There's nothing like a peaceful morning in the kayak! Thanks for watching Mack!
Hi from South Africa great vid i will be buying one

You used the machete just fine. You didn’t get cut. Nice work on the yard.👍🏼
