- The controversial role that one man played in the Lincoln Conspirators' Trial, and his grave in Indiana. Please note: Wiechmann's last name was misspelled "Weichmann" so often after the trial that he himself started to spell it that way. This is the spelling most often used today, but its not what's on his tombstone.
Nice work!
Thanks Mark, as always!
Very well done.
Many thanks!
This appears to show all possibilities. Thats what I like about this blog!
Thanks Steve!
Didn't have the first idea about taking a shower or a bath back in them days. Oftentimes they slept in there clothes, most of the time they reeked, sometimes their skin was so crusty they had a half inch of dirt on them. Real bunch of scumballs back in the day
Was Wiechmann not a known alcoholic? I kept waiting for you to talk about that, but didn’t.
What is your source of information?
Thank you for the video but id like to mention a pronunciation error. His name is pronounce Witch-Man. Ive heard all kinds of ways to pronounce it over the years 😅.
Thanks for posting. Are you absolutely sure of the pronunciation, and what was your source of info?
@@greatlakestraveller9703 id hope I'm sure. I'm related to him and we've kept the name from Germany. The majority of the family is now in South dakota
@@ForestOutHouse Interesting! I'd have bet that the original pronunciation would have been more like "Vike-monn"
