It just occurred to me that these modern creatives come from a different (higher) educational background.
I remember my college papers being graded on their technical prowess, logic, and effectiveness at communicating my point. I was graded on my writing ability nor the merits of my subject. Just did I make a compelling case or fully flesh out my ideas.
I think these modern universities are stuffed with too many courses where they grade the ideas presented more than the competence of presenting them.
It’s the only exploitation of why Leslie Hedland thinks she has told a great story. That it is her greatest artistic achievement. When she speaks in interviews she says tons of things that her show never made me think. Like she didn’t even get her points across. And she’s oblivious to that fact. Nobody gets her art. She even struggles explaining it.

You know, I'm truly starting to wonder if The Acolyte was actually written by AI. There is no creativity involved, it doesn't adhere to over 3 decades of lore, it just takes bits and pieces from other shows and movies and cobbles them together in one rather inconhesive story.
