The added lore bits are a great addition to the video. The self hatred for playing on a classic server is still a mystery to me. I do know some of your suffering however, as I leveled a bard in 2000 to 50. He was a twink however, was still wearing the gear he had from 1 to 50 when I logged him in 3 years ago and started working on him again.

it took me way too long to watch this video. My man Rimurok! He represents some of the best parts of this server: attitude, generosity, and of course obnoxious levels of role-playing.
Love people like that though, it was exactly this that kept me playing from release to Omens, and what I miss the most about current EQ.

On P99, when you zone into Highpass from Karanas there is Gnoll that hovers over the edge of a ledge on the top left that trains everything down.

This was so funny and well put together, thank you for a trip down memory lane! I played EQ for about 15 years and raided for about 14 of those years until my mum got sick and then i left. I keep meaning to go back, seeing this has made me want to see if my account still exists!

I played a bard back in the day, I think I was still using those green bracers during scars of velious.
Yup its pretty good for a long time. Only end tier stuff beats it.

Found your channel today, love this series! Makes we want to try playing p99 again. I tried it out a little before Velious release on Blue, ended up getting to 38 on a Magician before losing interest. Diving into p99 having never played EQ before was interesting for sure! I played mostly solo, watching this made me want to try a class with more group utility.

Maaaan. I played EQ back in the day from around release through Kunark, played a cleric, did some hate, not a whole lot of raiding, loved it. The algo dropped your channel in my recommended and that login music hit me and I'm getting the itch to give it another shot....

As a kid who wasn't well versed in English (I've only spoken English for a year in school) and having only a barbarian shaman as my character, this game was so hard! I only managed to reach level 53 or so.
I've been playing more mmos again lately and these videos are really nice to go back and watch.

Man this is giving me major nostalgia, I need to look into how to pick p99 up.
That's why I love p99. Most of the community is great. I once helped out someone with a CR in kurns on my iksar monk. Wde ended up leveling together for a couple days. Then told me he couldn't play for awhile from work. Lent me a fungi tunic and 3k Plat for a month. Barely knew me, but knew how much it would help. When he came back, wouldn't accept the Plat back. Told me it was my pay for taking care of his fungi.

Duddee I had the hack happen to me with my enchanter while on Troll form, as long as you have some kind of trgrn this seems to happen, love it, it also happened to my bard a couple of times.

past PoP swarming refers to charming, letting the pet beat down, break charm, and then chant the former pet then repeat
I remember my level one war has frosty , another weapon and iskar Regen . Back then there was no level restrictions except certain quest or binded items

Strange. I used to play on the Bertoxx server a long time ago as well. I played in a guild called Legions of Darkness for year or two. I remember doing planes of power with like 70 people. It was insane.

I was also an OG Bertoxx player. I think that server ended up being like the basic "newbie" server because it was the first server in alphabetical order.

Your 100 percent correct, Group XP feels terrible on p99
I think that's 1 area the TLPs do better. They nerfed all the best ways to solo & boosted group exp big time. I never felt like soloing on a tlp if I could avoid it.

I've played Bard for hundreds of hours on P99 blue and some TLP's, and just started a new one on green since they added the custom UI's which I find pretty darn integral to playing bard to its maximum without an overwhelming level of hassle, but I've NEVER seen the lay-on-hands hymn of restoration tick before... Maybe I'll get some on green...

@@IonBlaze1 lol we talked about how he tried to eat the guards, and that the guards were hacking b/c they were able to blow away his smelly ogre farts, he did it in full ogre speak and RP :). did not disappoint

Wow, P99 Green really is a small world. Rimurok is in the guild Ithilious is in and has even been featured in his videos.
I was lazy when it came to getting equipment. So I became the best haggler in WC. I turned a Glowing Black Stone into a full set of Lambent and a lot of other great gear in less then a week from just buying low and selling at a mark up of 15-25% of the purchase price. Good times.
I played for the first time around House of Thule.. I always wanted to experience classic, hard as balls Everquest. I think I'm going to, but I'm not sure what class to play. I was a Monk on Live, but now I'm not sure what I want to play. Your videos are fun. Thanks.

Love the videos though! I'm having a bit of a renaissance with EQ as well, but when I tried EQ1 the graphics were unbearable. I'm trying EQ2 for the first time and loving it for the nostalgia and much improved graphics.
The bandit sash’s are good xp in bulk. I used them to farm play on my warrior and would get about a bubble of exp at 21 for 16 Sash’s. So if you want to farm play while you level. Going there whenever you c an start soloing and turning them you can level up to 20.
It’s not the fastest however it’s nice to be able to buy some gear if you’re knew to the sever. Specially as a warrior main 😂

In High Pass, at your low level - you were proximity aggro-ing the gnolls up top without invisible. Druids at > mid level take 4 mobs max (quadding) while bards swarm and steal the zone. I’ve had more beef with bards than druids personally.

Make a monkey, no armor or weapons needed, just how i leveled mine to max level just slapping the hell out of everything, cant wait to get into project 1999

@@IonBlaze1 I loved to help people on CR since i lost my pcfor 7 months(this is 3 months after the game launched) at lvl 17 right after i died, when i came back i was butt naked and a few people helped me with plat and gear, so I always paid it back doimg free CRs for people in need.

Yeah cuz when you find a good person in that game you put them on your friends list and you look for them every time and you group up you go to the same guild you hunt together you become friends with them you know and you become friends with other people

P99 is separate emulation server. A couple guides on TH-cam on how to set it up. For the Yelinak server that opens 5/25, most people just download the game off the EverQuest website & use the proprietary launcher.

By the time I started a bard PoP was already out. The sooner you get some good drums you can selo's around so fast. That with levitate and you can get your groups around cliffs and gaps. My first class was a warrior and I always had invisibility potions on me bwahahaha. I did the same thing when I played WoW for one long summer of battlegrounds.
