Well people are lazy and do not want to do all the work of programming. That is why rick and yourself can offer to sell programmed solutions. I am just not a fan of monthly subscriptions, every company is trying to get monthly subscriptions. I refuse to do monthly, just give me a price and let that be it.

I agree with that and I don't knock that. But... People are buying his programmed solution and don't even own the lights in his show, so there is absolutely 0 benefit. You have to own those lights to make it worth it. Same with my show(s), and I try to make that super transparent

Dude how can you make a video without actually having it? Want a copy to review? And you can use it with any uplights or mover that is setup in soundswitch. You just have to add the fixture and set it to the wash group or the movers to the mover group. Then yes you have to set the mover positions which like you said take a few minutes. We have a tutorial video on that. But all the color attributes have been changed and re-programmed from the stock ones. Also tutorial videos are on the website under support.

Hey man, welcome to the channel! Thanks for your comment and weighing in.
You do go over your project in depth in your video, and I felt like that was enough context. From the many people I've talked to, they want a plug n play solution, but find that setting up SS to be a steep learning curve. So I think it's brilliant that you're giving people a place to buy the hardware & programming. But, I stand by my position that your light show is most beneficial to people that use Both lighting fixtures. Even though the official SS tutorial videos are pretty good, from what I've seen, people struggle the most with setting attribute cues for their movers, and positions/movements. So IMO, I don't see a huge benefit to buying a SS project if you have different movers and have to configure it yourself anyways. While I can appreciate that you are changing the colors/intensities too, I think that the default autoloops are good and that the new autoscripting engine is fantastic.
If anything, this video will have the Streisand effect, increasing awareness and purchases for your project. I was inspired to make this video when I saw someone who purchased it struggling to figure out why it wasn't working very well with his setup, only to realize that he didn't have any of the light fixtures in your project. That's not your fault, I don't think your video was misleading. This is just an additional PSA, to put some MH150's in their cart before checking out to get the full benefit of your project.
I am happy to review your project if you'd like. I can't promise to be a cheerleader, but give an honest review.

@DJDarylBennett so following your videos and DJ Rick Webb, I thought some clarification might be needed. I'm a from the beginning Soundswitch adopter but also a professional programmer. I think both of you are right in part but the average guy that buys these may not understand what they are getting as you say. I did some testing to ensure my knowledge was still up to date with current releases. Sure in buying a project, you will get the Autoloops and also the venue with the already setup fixtures and DMX mapping that as you say will be useless unless you have the same fixtures. However, you will get what has been setup on the Main (Intensity, Color, Strobe and Movement) tracks and if you add your own fixture, it will follow the Main (Intensity, Color, Strobe and Movement) tracks in the absence of anything specific being set for that fixture within the Auto Loops. Placing your newly added fixture within a certain type (Primary Wash, Primary Spot) will only ensure that those actions on the Main (Intensity, Color, Strobe and Movement) tracks will be followed depending upon what is applicable i.e. movement commands only applicable to movers, strobe only applicable to those that can be strobed etc. Any specific actions on the fixtures already existent within the purchased project, will not be copied to the new fixtures you add unless you use the new Automation for updating your auto loops thereby specific individual actions will be placed on each fixture depending upon it's type. So purchasing a project, sure you will get something that can be used with your fixtures if they differ (by defaulting to the Main Track) but you will still have to add the appropriate fixtures and DMX mapping, delete any fixtures that don't exist in your configuration (optional) and re-edit where applicable if you want specific fixture specific actions. So yes, for a relative newbie, some benefit but is it worth the price tag ? that will be a personal choice. This all relates to the Auto Loops within the project.

@@dredgeb it's true that new fixtures that aren't in the project will follow the master intensity, color, movement, etc... but SoundSwitch comes with all of that already with the default autoloops. And with the touch of a button, you can autoscript the autoloops to create more interesting chases with your individual fixtures.
The hard part in my opinion is setting the positions, patching the fixtures, creating attribute cues (especially for movers), assigning the type, and creating interesting chases that work with a particular set of lights.
So in my opinion, you're paying a premium for the easy part, while still having to the majority of the hard work.

@@DJDarylBennett yes I agree and that is obviously the route that you and I would take but a lot of potential Soundswitch users fall at the early stages so sometimes a little help with purchases could perhaps help them to stay the course. Yes you could start with the default auto loops but they are a little tame and lame, so something more dynamic certainly helps with the comparison with sound to light modes on the fixtures. The recent addition of being able to autoscript the Autoloops certainly is a winner but comes normally later in their learning journey. For me, as a software developer, I would say Rick’s price point is too high, I would have set it at 99 dollars to gain more widespread uptake and in recognising it is not a plug and play solution. For me @soundswitch need to go to another level and allow auto scripting to the type / group level at on individual tracks, so I would click a option box to say don’t script at the fixture level and then choose an option to say whether to script for groups / types. Then adding specific fixtures to groups / types would automatically inherit the scripted actions. This would allow easy additions of fixtures later which would then inherit the already scripted automatically or manually actions

Well I spoke to soon. I decided if I have already invested into Marcellus programming through Rick, then why not give it a full fledge try. I'm happy to at least say I gave it a full evaluation. There is benefits though to this, if nothing else breaking it down to learn how it works and customize further. Sorry for it negativity in the beginning.

Although I bought a previous pair that are identical in every way to the both tubes ….except the size of the stand adaptor it’s a shmidge smaller on the both tubes.
