I grew up there in the 90s, college of the desperate, it's weird to see how much it's changed, I don't go back much, I really enjoyed the ice rink inside the palm desert mall, the carl's jr. on 111 and monterey was the after football go to spot, and we would go ice blocking down the wash on monterey, we'd use our library cards to open the gates, it's changed so much I barely recognize it, but it's a cool spot that most people don't know about
Went to P.S. a few months ago and I absolutely loved it. Days were a toasty 110 degrees, but I didn't mind it. The desert beauty is captavating. Looking forward to going again later this year. Thanks for the video. Great info ! Edit:spelling
Thanks for the tour around Palm Desert. I grew up there and went to PDHS. I lived in a house on Shadow Mtn. Drive, west of hwy 74 and used to play in that desert near the mountain towards the end of your video. The only thing that would have made your video better is ending it with a yummy double cheeseburger from Keedy’s. 😋
Hi Brandy, I'll be retiring at the end of the year and thinking of moving to Palm Desert around the beginning of next year. I currently live in Woodland Hills, CA. I noticed there are condos as you mentioned passing by in this video, but I wanted to ask if there are any single-level 2bd townhomes with garage out in the area ? It's just for myself. I'm single. Thank you, Kyle
We don’t have too many townhouses here however there are some. There’s a nice spot in Palm Springs you could check out. I’d personally live there. It’s called Sunrise Palms.
@@BrandyValentineRealEstate Thanks for getting back, Brandy, much appreciated. Yeah, when I checked online awhile back I noticed the lack of townhomes in Palm Desert. Thought I'd ask since you're there.
My husband and I planned to retire in Palm Springs where so many of friends did. Only now thanks to investors destroying the market the same thing they’ve done to San Francisco, We are going to have to move to the DHS ghetto.
@@BrandyValentineRealEstate it is but we are avoiding anything with an HOA. ( husbands new rule) And the upper areas near the hills are nice. It just feels far removed from the action And you still have to come down the hill to shop for groceries and stuff in the ugly part of town. I think Palm Desert might be better if we have to go that far. Anything can change in 6 or 7 years I guess. My husband will still be working f as a nurse so he can afford to be anywhere But I’ll be on my railroad pension and making less than now and can’t afford my half if it’s too high. Maybe we can come up with a large down payment who knows fingers crossed

Been a couple decades since I’ve been to the dessert. Now I live in Hawaii so looking at the dry bushes and dust is different.
Almost like a different planet!
This was an excellent tour of Palm Desert. Thank You

@@BrandyValentineRealEstate thank you! Marriott assists with relocation, do you happen to have any 2 bedroom condos in inventory under $2000 a month?

Love how the housing is actually affordable out there
Compared to Los Angeles and SF, etc. It’s affordable-ish.

There are good parts in DHS, like Mission Lakes. Very nice area. Was just there for a dinner party and thought it was a lovely community.
