Start adding oil waste containers in every street, then we'll talk. I dump my oil down the drain (not that it makes me happy) because there's no where else to dump it near where I live. In my country, ecological, battery and ordinary trash containers are pretty common but oil ones are still rare to find unless you live in a zone with a lot of restaurants... which I do not.

Because he has the access panel open (The screw part of the pipe where he put the hose in), he already said the blockage was under the house (Talking to the owner), so as the nozzle advances and the pressure water is breaking down the blockage, yes the backwash has to go somewhere, so it will come out the open part of the pipe first, but the reason he was called out, was because the sink was not draining (Clogged up).
If the cover was screwed back on, the pressure would eventually be back up the pipe again to the sink, but as its open, it comes out there, instead of the sink.
