Full Axle Lift for my C6 Z06 Corvette

  • Hey guys, this is by far the most unique upgrade you can to to your car, specifically a Corvette.
    My car is a 2008 Corvette C6 Z06 with air cups on each corner. The Corvette needs extensive front end work to make it fit. A new more compact sway bar such as a Pfadt or Ridetech Muscle Bar is needed. Rear control arm need minor clearancing.
    I ran a similar setup on my BMW E92 as well, so check that demo video out also.

    u seem to be the only person on the internet that has done this on a vette. so were going to need to see how you did it. the modifications needed. i found the air cups and coilovers just need to know what needs modified before hand . thanks

    Ok everyone. I think I know how to get this done after a lot of research.
    First, you are probably going to need to get a set of bc coilovers, it doesn’t matter what series they offer, they just need to have inverted shocks. (This will work with other inverted shock coilovers but this explanation is for what I found for BC coilovers)
    Next after you get your coilovers and take the springs off, measure the shaft thickness and order the right air cups. Then you’re going to need a wrench (possibly a slim one) and an adjustable gland nut wrench in order to take off the parts you need in order to mount the air cups.
    I can to this conclusion after looking at lots of pics and Taylor Rays vid "how to make your coilovers go lower". At the 2min 35sec mark he shows a bare BC c5 corvette coilover shock. Please look at that video and everything I explained will make sense.
    After you take off those parts you should be able to install the air cups. Please note that I have not actually done this irl, but once I save enough I will attempt to do it. Just know that it is possible as there is another person who has done this but on a c5 corvette.

    Can you comment the brand of coilovers and pneumatic caps and air system please. I can't get it, I try to find the brand's and model but no lock I would appreciate it. Thanks

    Fortune auto says they don’t make the air cup coilover for the corvette and bc racing is upside down so what did u use ?

    Definitely doing this to mine. Did you make an install video by chance? Also how’d your run your lines. I’m thinking of going with a ENDO CVT tank.

    For your aircups, did you modify the top mount area? To accommodate the aircups? Did you get the 110mm or the 120mm? I'm trying to fit one for my c5z and without cutting up the mount support, look like it will fit. Also BC coilovers are 12.5mm shaft right?

    I asked bc directly and they said the ds series wouldnt work as they have non removable parts im so confused lol?

      Did they specify what parts are non removable? I’ve been researching a lot about doing this and I think I have a slight idea about how to get the Coilover apart.

      @josephneloms3033 yeah apparently that dude was wrong. What he was saying didn't make sense because you can change the spring and if you're doing that you have to be able to take it off. I've done alot of asking around at shops in my area they all said the ds and the br series should be fine and fit the aircups worst case you may need a shorter spring.

      Its dependent on the coilover. The air cups have no affect on ride, when they are deflated. It acts as a spacer.
      You can't really drive very fast, under 35 mph, when inflated due to spring being compressed (coil bind)

    Just stay stock. It's a great upgrade for the money.
