I’ll use my ice sonar, add rope to my anchor so I can play the wind and anchor in shallow, use the wind to put me over the basin and sit somewhat stationary and use my ice rod and jigs over basin areas where I caught them in winter
Fish are fish no matter where you find them. Different regions have certain precise patterns but by and large, all seasonal movements per region are the same in lakes. Basin in spring, adjacent to spawning areas, spawn in weeds, brush, bullrushes, pads, post spawn deep weed edge. Summer bottom of first break into main basin, winter basin. It really is that simple.
ok so i'm curious, i see a lot of boats that are rigged the same way as this one. There is a plastic wave whacker in front of the flip down ladder....how do you use the ladder if you have a wave wacker screwed in in front of the ladder?
This is what I was also thinking lol I'm a university student who can barely afford gas in his car and my "boat" is an old kayak lmao. I have no form of depth finder, let alone 360 imaging, down imaging, or the option to spot-lock. I do appreciate the tips provided though, as they are a huge first step.
Dang he makes it sound so easy.. but what do u do with out the 10k in electronics?
Right? I'm in a kayak, no fish finder, how about some back to basics topo map reading and marker bouys?!
then you just go fishing!!
Go buy them
