- In this video, we highlight 10 of the best things to do in and around Bangkok for your first or second visit:
10. Try the street food
A dish generally costs between 1 to $3 and ranges from barbecued chicken and steamed dumplings, to Pad Thai and tasty mango sticky rice.
9. Admire the Grand Palace
The Grand Palace is Bangkok’s most impressive and popular tourist attraction. Established in 1782, this complex was the royal residence for generations.
8. See the reclining Buddha at Wat Pho
Known as one of Bangkok’s oldest temples, this place has a rich history and is home to an impressive Reclining Buddha.
7. Visit a floating market
The most popular floating market is Damnoen Saduak, which is about a 1.5 hour drive from the city center of Bangkok.

6. Take a stroll in Lumpini park
This big green oasis offers several lawn areas, paved walking paths, trees, playgrounds, and an artificial lake.
5. Get a view over Bangkok
We visited the Mahanakhon building, home to Bangkok’s highest observation deck, which provides spectacular views of the city and river.

4. Explore lesser-known Buddhist Temples
With roots steeped in centuries-old history and Buddhist culture, you can find hundreds of temples in Bangkok. It’s worth visiting a few in the Banglamphu area (Golden Mount & Loha Prasat) with a local guide.

Khao San Road is a vibrant street, packed with hostels, food vendors, clothing stalls, bars, restaurants, and travelers from every corner of the globe.
2. Shop at Chatuchak Weekend Market
On Saturday and Sunday from 9 am to 6 pm
1. Watch the sunset over the Chao Phraya River & Wat Arun
From one of the rooftop bars (Eagle’s Nest or The Deck Restaurant), you can watch the sun set over Wat Arun.

How did you book the house boat?
@@darlenefitterer3710 I actually just booked a tour with Intrepid Travel, so everything was sorted for you.. and it was totally worth it as we did things I would not have known was possible! like thr raft as well as hiking up the mountains and stayed with hill tribe people in bamboo huts and stuff :)

Welcome to Thailand Sawasdee Krub this video is very nice to see
I love Bangkok!
It’s a great city!
Way the best guide to Bangkok I’ve watched. Thank you and well done. I’m so tired of seeing very little except the presenters face.
Very informative and comprehensive. We are going this year.
Glad you enjoyed it! Have a great trip to Bangkok!
Great post..I was watching a millions of videos but this one is complete ..
Thanks! Glad it was helpful ☺️
I'm Thai from Thailand.
Thank you for good presentation in Thailand and great video ❤❤❤
Thanks! ☺️ we had a lovely time in Thailand. Thai people are the friendliest ☺️
Are you from Bangkok
Bangkok is an amazing city and been lucky enough to visit there twice. I did the Grand Palace, Wat Pho, Wat Arun, Chao River Cruise (day and night), Asiatique Riverfront, sky decks at Mahanakhon Building and Baiyoke Tower, Lumphini Park (see a couple of monitor lizards), Chinatown and day trip to Ayutthaya
Did you use public transportation to get to these places or hire a driver? Just wondering how hard to navigate on our own. Also did you purchase tours ahead of time?
@@llamamama9781 I did purchase tours ahead of time but used the metro system to get around instead of using taxi drivers who will rip you off. I did find BKK quite easy to navigate around
very helpful video thanks
Glad it is! ☺️
Great video thanks so much for sharing a bit of your experiences there. I am looking forward to be in Bangkok beginning of September. Maybe if you’re still there, we can make a TH-cam or two together the rest of the week.
Thanks for watching! We're not in Thailand anymore, but we'll be back in southeast Asia in October (starting with Cambodia!)
This Is a very good video! I love It!
Thank you so much!
Thanks for making this video. Actually we are planning to go to bangkok next month. Can you suggest some beautiful beaches nearby bangkok
Not sure what you mean with "nearby". But maybe Hua Hin?
Love you vídeos Número uno!!!
Thank you!
Very nice video and helpful as well
Glad you liked it
As someone who lived there and visited 6 times I say well done. I do not however, understand peoples attraction to Khao san road.
Thank you!! It’s an experience 😅🤣
Wouldn't the clubs make each other's music louder and louder
I would go there again and remove the many employees who try to lure customers in and make everything a little less stressful
Now it's just total sensory overload
It is roughly 40% cheaper than sukhumvit
excellent
Thanks! ☺️
I love Bangkok and Thai boys.
❤
Thank you for showing the world how beautiful of Thailand. Tomorrow I will be on the plane to visit my family in Thailand for 3 weeks. I’m so excited. Your video gave me some tips for this trip. Thank you again ❤

In september i go for 2 weeks… cant wait. Ty for your video… so much info😍
First ill try their local food… its a must😊
Yes the Thai food is amazing!
❤
Nice video! The Asian monitor lizards are called ตัวเงินตัวทอง (silver & golden lizards) in Thailand. Couple of my friends studied in a university in Nakorn Pathum (2-3 hours from bkk). These lizards just hung out with all students in the classrooms. lol. Everyone was just acting cool. It was quite normal. 😅
Hahah nice to hear! So they seem to be very friendly animals 😄
Thank you for sharing…. It looks amazing! When is the best time of the year to visit please?
It’s possible to visit year-round, but the dry season runs from November until May more or less. It gets very hot around April / May though
I have watched your Chiang Rai and Chiang Mai videos. Would you know where to go for fresh durian fruits/other tropical fruits? Would the night markets have it?
The night markets typically have it! There’s lots of delicious fruits to choose from. Definitely try the dragon fruit, mangosteen, coconuts, and mango! So delicious 😁
❤❤❤❤
its my dream to one day be able to go to thailand
❤❤🎉
Skip to 1:18 to get straight to the point. 😊
Am in lumpini park now

My mom is in Thailand today
Hope she’s having fun!
@@worldwildhearts Especially in her school field trip ❤️😀🙂🥰
Love from Philippines 🇵🇭❤️🇹🇭 ✈️🧳
@worldwildhearts
How many days are enough for Bangkok?
2-3 days is enough if you're planning to visit more places in Thailand! After all, it's a big city and Thailand has more to offer than that... like the southern beaches or northern mountains
Thalind king bhumibol yae
city Bangkok city kar beautiful tal verdgood Thailand king vaj long korn 👍
Best part of Thailand? Leaving
The chatuchak market is only open Sat and Sun til 6? Thanks
It was when we visited! Saturday and Sunday 9am-6pm are the best days to visit. But you can also go on Wednesday, Thursday, Friday (limited sections are open)
I am looking fir a app to help navigate bkk. Traffic is a nightmare n want to explore with family so no taxis wanna go silom skywalk ko san n siam Square please recommend. Love to do canal boats theyre fun.
Grab App as we mention at the end of our video! That's how we always got around. There are lots of metro's as well which are more efficient during traffic hours.

U should visit bali
Yes we definitely will! Want to explore many islands in Indonesia
Off here tomorrow I can’t wait
Enjoy! ☺️
You forgot to mention soi 6

Should have included the monkey town
The floating market you just showed, i went there a TAXI scam driver took us, for the boat ticket they charged us 6000BHT ~ 164USD so please who is going there be-careful
Oh no that’s such an awful experience. We joined a guided tour, which prevents these kind of situations. Never ever get into a taxi, tuk tuk or boat without negotiating the price first
He looks a lot like A B devillers
lol
Biraz korktum 😢
Why did you cover the view with this blue subtitles annoying
We never loss china mioa
There is no way Im eating anything in this place
Well you're in luck! Bangkok has McDonald's
Yeah - u can also find these on google so pls don’t travel if you are not going to try local food
Lol good for you
Why? The food is the best in the world
@@ThailandTravelStudy uncultuted and probably eats nothing but American mac n cheese and McDonalds. Anything else in the world probably looks like alien feet goo
