    I believe, as a golfer, this guy knows what he's doing. Exactly the same principles apply to the golf swing in terms of arm and wrist. Acceleration is everything!

    It's like having junior instruction without having had the privilege as a junior. And in French. At least now we can finally learn, thanks to TH-cam.

    This is a very good turning point for me I think. Coz it make sense, I do notice even before I found thus video, when I am lose and kinda semi throw my hands and wrist to the ball, I have more control and depth. This time I'm gonna employ his instruction and I think there will be improvement. Obviously your not literally gonna throw the racket away but kinda mimic the idea so your loose when u hit the ball.

    Racquet & elbow going way to far back behind his back - unit turn, elbow up, hands align with the ball, elbow extension, knuckles up racquet loosely falls, hand drives forward, racquet snaps back, weight shifts to the left foot, left hand and shoulder are driving back, right shoulder driving forward, racquet flips and snaps forward into the ball rebounding off the the loose wrist loose wrist, arm is straight fully extended, right hip opens as the trunk unwinds, last snap as the bicep curls using the power that has come up from the legs into the hips up to the shoulder out to the radius (wrist) and snapping back accelerating the racquet head, exploding the ball out to the court with massive body drive and topspin generation ad the kinetic chain unwinds. Weaponizing your body to deliver the goods, not your arm.

      How many times have you tried it ? It cannot be better in several months. All depends on your hand-eye-body coordination abilities so if you really want a result for it, you will have to count around a year or maybe more than that.

    If you’re newish to tennis, be careful learning this technique!!! it’ll prob make you a worse player and frustrated to no end!
    The problem is, the techniques Pat teaches are not easy to execute consistently on the court… unless you’ve extremely solid foundations and footwork already, like a semi pro player.
    Take his forehand technique for example, with a short circle forearm how long is the contact point straight on with the ball?
    What about high and low balls? Try and lift your elbow on anything but a perfect height ball and you’re screwed!
    Basically this entire lesson pressumes great footwork and timing …which means 99% of us tennis players will never get more than a few rally balls in at a time. Then ya spraying …esp under tight match conditions!!
    Soz, I like Pat, esp his mental strength vids with players, but most of us shouldn’t be learning technique off him online …I play with lots of guys between UTR 7-8 (Australia, NTRP 4-4.5), and have seen loads of players try to use these techniques, very unsuccessfully.
    Pats vids are a good lead magnet for the academy but it’s not your fault if you can’t do what he’s showing, it’s super advanced stuff with impeccable timing required in real world matches.

    • @direwolf525
      @direwolf525 ปีที่แล้ว

      Exactly!!! First, as a beginner, they need to take the racquet head back and pull and follow through and learn the footwork once they can hit the ball then teach them to unit turn drop hit then once they get to the advanced buttcap first take back with elbow up like what this guy is telling...
