I loved the practical effects where it was used and damn Taz so talented doing his stunts and learning Martial Arts and voicing the Spanish for the show!
Don't worry, costume design also takes into account the type of motion and movements the actors and doubles need to perform - they don't look like it, but even movie "jeans" and "suits" use particular materials that are super comfortable and stretchy In fact you accidentally see a hint of that when Sanji leaves the kitchen after Zeff reprimands him and sends him as a waiter - as Sanji pits on his jacket, you see the open and stretchy parts of his under arm shirt sections (breathability, comfort and full range of motion) Chuck Norris often had special jeans with special stretchy gusseted crotch pieces and otherwise a super stretchy material
@@ProtoMarcus oh i did notice the white part on the shirt when he was putting the jacket on and wondered what it was, that's cool to know!😃 thanks for the info😊
the effort and hardwork behind the scene on this OP LA. muchhhh gratefullll. I'm in tears. T_T Keep it up! can't wait for the season 2. This OP LA deserved award!
Most of these action scenes look better, I think they have too many cuts on the show. Taz can do all that and we barely get to see it, I thought it was a double the whole time.
@@Naija_Ninja It’s a huge possibility his scenes for me where the only ones that looked slowed down like he was being cautious of every move while others moved faster in there movements while fighting in the show.
Never thought I would watch One Piece. It’s funny how when you enter into something new, some things just immediately call to you or that one thing chose you. Upon entering the anime fandom, there were some anime already calling to me. I ignored them, thinking they weren’t going to be that good. I was wrong. Lately, I have been letting my heart tell me what to do. Letting my soul tell me what I need. I needed to watch the Live Action One Piece adaptation to strengthen my dream of becoming an actor/voice actor.
Bc Zoro disagreed with Luffy that all great fighters shout out their moves. I hope at one point Zoro just goes "ah screw it." And for the first time in LIVE ACTION. We hear. Three sword style! DEMON SLASH!!! BTW I noticed a lot of familiar moves during the Mihawk fight. Mainly Tower Climb and tower climb return. But that's all I could spot.
Yeah, they need to lean more on the fantastical side of things. More anime stuff. SHISHI SONSON against Mr. 1 just won't work without him actually saying it.
Before you ask them to do something try it yourself first, try holding something in your mouth and shouting a special move name, and you'll hear how it sounds lol
It is amazing to see the craftsmanship involved. There's only one shortcoming this reminded me of though, and that is the plate of food that Sanji carried during his fight. I wish that plate had been made less solid by the props team. Imagine ringing the different pastries together with a little bit of cord and magnets on a slippery tray: they would move slightly and make it feel like Sanji actually prevented the food from falling off mid-combat as opposed to how artificial they feel in the end product because they are so nailed to the plate itself. Sometimes it is the tiny details that really sell a scene.
Bluescreen, but on daylight, very important for natural lighting, when using CGI. Most of the CGI you never notice, because it's very well made. And what can be made practical, is made practical. For a series it's beyond the normal quality you get. Also the stunts, the sets, the feeling of the crew, the costumes, the make up, the music, sound design, everything is so well made.
Seeing snaji (the person playing as him) have to fight with his hands in his pocket was so cool to see! The time it must have taken for a small minute clip for the show. That’s a few months of training. So much goes into it
0:38 is this the time when Emily and the other were talking about when they got soaked on the ship in one of the scenes? Lol I actually love these people so much and I’m happy we’re getting more content, including season 2 🫶🏾
the raid movies clearly made big influence of action fight scene nowadays including onepiece. I hope luffy vs crocodile fight scene in season 2 would be badass
This show how much work and love they've put on this Live Action, I'm more amazed by the day

Dude, the Sanji action is absolutely fire. I wish more of it had been in the shooowww T_T
Thankfully season 2 got announced
Same, but season 2 is coming so we might see more
@@Cosmic_Monsterit'll take a year for 2 probably but at least we'll get logia CGI from smoker and DA CHOP

Taz is killing it with those moves
I feel bad for the fishermen actors, they look so cool but I can’t imagine having all that on my face😂
Your mom had me on her face all day too
just fishmen

Fishman lives matter
the person who do the face-off for the fishmen seemed really on budget 😂
Woow, the stunts man, the stunts! They choreographed the fight scenes well! Crazy respect for the One Piece manga and dedication towards their arts.
i appreciated that they showed the back-up stunts to give credit and appreciation as well.
the stunt doubles deserve a gold medal ..👍👍
but also Sanji for being a master at kicking
Make up artists?
Bro
Taz didn't need a stunt double
Watching Chu use a phone at the end is so surreal and hilarious 😂
It feels so weird watching it without the sound effects. But they did awesome!
Damn sok, Taz killing it with those moves
He's fantaztic

AND learning to cook
So that's how they simulated the rocking of the ship when they are actually on land. I'm still getting amazed with how things work on film.
At first I was like "wow that's some heavy duty machinery" then I Saw it was just some dudes pushing it around lmao
Taz here reminding us he, like Iñaki, dubbed himself in Spanish also.
Omg! Really! I’m so happy to hear that!
I hope they give more varied outfits to Taz next season. Sanji's suits are iconic but they must limit his movements a lot.
Humanity has yet to invent a suit that can hold back Taz's abilities. FACT.

Nami’s high heels😨
Robins skin tight clothes 🤮
Sanji’s tuxedo 👹
Good luck to these poor actors if it isn’t changed
@@dingusgoober They had to change Luffy's sandals for safety reasons despite them being iconic, so I'm sure Nami's high heels are out.
Wow that's crazy, the amount of detail in each set is nuts.
Taz's bts training and fighting choreo is so swaggy, bro. That's like the only word I can think of to describe it.
Respect to stuntmens

Taz really needs more fights in the series, and without a suit, more freedom to him
They fucking nailed it. One of the most entertaining shows I’ve watched in years.
Taz's work on his foot fighting skill is impressive
I mean, he's been working his whole life to earn his black belt ❤
2:43 Shushuuuuuuuuu 🥺🥺😍😍
I haven’t realized, where was the dog or was he cut out
Taz is gonna be future Jason Statham 😯
The fact the Merry was completely made IRL is just amazing
So many cool fighting scenes that didn't make it into the show. If they made an extended version I would totally buy the discs.
those are concept. they make a bunch of version and the director or producer or showrunner decide what they use. not really scenes.
I love stunts their amazing to watch
South Africa is becoming a film hotspot and I'm here for it.
Taz is amazing he can speak spanish so well
Oh that's because he is from Spain
Glad to see the cast still humble
Amazing cast and crew!!!!!! They really did things well.
The level of commitment to details and all the effort on the training, they push their limits to make something amazing.
Cute/charming that they’re in the cabin of the ship.
just me or sanji's fight sequences were better filmed here than in the final version?
I feel the same with some of the fight scenes aswell, especially zoro vs mihawk
Might be due to limitation on doing certain stunts wearing a suit vs gym wear. That’s my guess.
@@soulsurfer7702
This is what I was thinking too. Especially for Taz, to do all that in a suit must've been hell
