I did everything multiple times I finally got it to resetting mode but it never resets after holding for way more than 10 to 15 seconds

The key is when your first press the fog button keep pressing it while then ADDITIONALLY pressing the ignition button. Then, within 3 seconds after releasing both, press the trip and fog button together and hold until it says about service mode reset. The last step may mean you keeping the fog and trip buttons pressed for about 15 seconds.
