The vacuum line is actually a vent hose to vent the hydrogen gas outside of the car. The vent hose is on the negative side. you will also need to cap the positive side. There is also a hold down on the right side of the battery that takes 2 10mm bolts. Also, if the car has already lost power completely, you will not need to keep power to it. All of the memory is already gone.

You saved me from towing! Thanks a million. My new battery also came with a vent plug which needed to be installed on the positive side, opposite the vent tube.

RE/Greg Tippets Question /// On the drivers side left remove the rear vented plastic panel in the trunk .There you will find a positive terminal to the battery and an unpainted threaded bolt on the trunk floor pan that goes to a steel frame member that is used as a negitive ground you can connect the power box to this rather than the terminals up at the battery making it a lot easier and safer to remove and install the new battery. . The positive connection is also accessible through the drivers side wheel well (outside the car) if you cant get into the trunk. Also it is not recommended to connect the power box or a trickle charger directly to the negative terminal of the battery rather connect the negative to a body ground .

Cool usually ur idle will reset radio station and other memory will delete it should rebuild after few cycles

@@bigpapi484 i wouldn’t be too worried, these cars are more expensive to repair at the jag place, find an indie mechanic that specializes on them and they’ll do a good job a lot cheaper, like here in jacksonville florida, Sachs automotive
