NIce!! Is that pond/impoundment open to the public all season? Also, how do you get into the fishing Derby. Is it invite only or open to public. Getting back into trout fishing this year after a twenty year hiatus.
It’s open to public. $11 a day to fish it I believe. They have their Expert Derby once a year. That’s first come first serve to enter it. They stock the pond a bunch of times during the season tho. They also have another derby in a few weeks. Check out their website for more info

Is that a daiwa 2500 reel?
It is a Diawa Regal LT 1000. Smallest one they make. Promise you won’t find a smoother reel for that price point. Paired with a 5’6 St Croix premier.
