Cheeky cactus shot there. Spectacular stuff. I suspect you were amongst the richest people on St Barts, at least by the most important measure of wealth - which is the experiences gained per year spent on the planet.

As a life long sailor who is from St John and has sailed into St Barts as well as the BVI , much of my life, I can say that every aspect of your video is excellent..! You might consider stopping into Coral Bay harbor on the southeast side of St John.. It's more laid back than Cruz Bay and known for its self "expatriated Americans" and interesting residents..! It's also where the slave uprising of 1736 took place . You could hike up the short way to that hilltop jutting out into the harbor and get great drone video....Also have a cheese burger and speak with some of the "locals" at the bar/restaurant known as "Skinny Legs", where boat builders, have a beer or four in between working on their various projects between there and the water's edge..! 🦚

Seeing all those super yachts and boat traffic around St Barths made me despair for our oceans. I'm sure not all boats are compliant wrt sewage, old cooking oil, detergents, plastic and diesel, not to mention cruise ships, cargo ships and fishing trawlers. Your comments that you've sailed around the world and hardly seen any whales just confirmed that for me😔

Hey you two! .... Have loved all your videos which are fantastically inspirational. Following your journey has been in no small part the reason why I have recently bought a bigger boat, made the decision to semi-retire and spend longer periods afloat. I would love to catch up with you when you return to the UK. I live in Emsworth, Chichester Harbour. Can't wait for the next episode. Best wishes and fair winds. John.

As always absolutely stunning production .. the filming, shots, editing, music, drone shots, slow mo, narrative .. you are are totally in a class of your own and make other sailing channels look like children playing with their phones… each episode is a mini classic that could hold its own on any mass distribution channel such as Netflix or Prime video .. !!

Hi guys. Just calling in from Nz. Watching those planes landing, reminds of a comment by a senior flying instructor.
"There is nothing more useless, when landing or taking off, as runway BEHIND your aircraft."
Another comment by a senior Air New Zealand pilot, now retired...and I'm relating it to super yacht owners..."their heads still get wet when it rains." Nothing special about them. Loving your channel guys. Btw my beer fridge is full. In case you have an urge to return to our fair land. Just saying. Take care and atb with future adventures.

Thanks. Very well done video. The views, drone and tastefully done music! Nice narration that doesn’t clash with the action nor music. Yes we enjoyed this area too. It fact for pure sailing, it’s really hard to beat the E Caribbean. We had quite a different experience once while going from this area to the Virgin Islands. Instead of very light winds we left port in moderate breeze and within a couple of hrs had sustained 40+ kts. Thank God behind us. Wow, we couldn’t wait to turn the corner into protected harbor. This is quite unusual. As we sailed the Caribbean for nearly 8 yrs and other than tropical systems ( this was not as it was winter). We had never had sustained winds this strong here. Enjoy the BVI’s. My favorite areas are the Baths and snorkeling and Scuba around the Indians.

The planes are touching down in the vicinity of the "Touchdown Zone", the correct place on the runway. This is indicated by the large markings on the asphalt. If they were to pass the smaller markings further in, a "Go Around" would be mandatory due to insufficient runway remaining to safely decelerate.

Just stumbled on your VLOG. Very Very pleasantly surprised. Have been following a couple of other sailing Vlogs for a while, and have found yours to be a cut above even the famous (?) ones. From my prospective, yours is a more professionally produced documentary. Great video, incredible mix of information and personality. Seems almost like it was storyboarded in advance. Background music present and complementary. Thanks a lot (I'll be watching more now). Thanks for letting us look over your shoulder and follow along.

Well, I guess having a boat life has some advantages for sure. By the way I dont see there is nothing wrong with that, I wish I myself was there. Landing on a short runway is the aircraft version of navigating under sail near a lee shore. The urgency to land on the first half of the runway is is in case the landing must be aborted. What little length remains is needed to recover and lift off without going in the ocean. Cheers.
