Great to see some of the spots in the BVI’s that I did not see when I was there oh so many years ago. I lives at anchor in Sopers Hole over the winter. Lots of memories.

I've just come from the gym and that very conveniently brings up a point that is long overdue for mentioning - all those years of constant nautical and aquatic activity have really turned Amy into a fitter than fit specimen!!
Of-course, I'm sure the same can be said for Matt, but that's for your female followers to remark upon.
The big challenge will be to keep it up after arriving back in Britain.
I would imagine you'll want a winter-season off to relax, before heading to the icebergs.
You guys have most likely forgotten what winter is like, and I know the feeling (having followed the emigrating passsge of the birds at exactly the same two times of every year).
It will be a "shock to the system" - your arrival back, just before the onset of winter.
Maybe your passage back will harden you up, in preparation.
Meantime, we wait to see what you get up to, in the Bahamas.!

    An aside...
When I began following Florence a few years ago, I asked my son if he could guess the name of your tender.
Having been to a concert in Vancouver BC... he knew it was "The Machine" right away!

I think cruise ships spoil The Baths far more than sailboats. To avoid those ships we go to The Baths before it opens, and pay on the way out. Each year we stay at Spring Bay, which is the next bay over from The Baths.

I think that everyone should sail the BVIs at least once. That said, I will likely not do it again. I found it to be crowded, exceedingly expensive, and the government very unwelcoming. The checking in process was expensive and frustrating- they won’t check you in unless you use their cumbersome app, and the fees seem arbitrary. The US and Spanish VIs are just as nice, the water and sailing is pretty much the same. Next time we’ll pass.

You two have remained true to your roots.
    Sailing!!
Personally I would have loved more scuba diving with that as I believe the two go hand-in-hand... but that's my preference.
Keep on, as I know you have. I await more sailing... and scuba diving!

How great to have such a fine meet-up with your followers. Cane Garden Bay, one of the most beautiful stopovers in the BVI's. From the mid-1970s until 1993 I used to Bareboat the BVI's and Cane Garden Bay, the Rum factory, and the lobster at the hut in the bay along with Rum and coconut milk in a coconut. Enjoy.

Great film…I wish you had the opportunity to visit Saba Rock before it was gentrified. It was a classic beach bar, unspoiled and great fun…maybe too much fun as I broke my toe navigating from ladies room after a few too many! When it aches in rainy weather it brings back a great memory!

    • @michakj4994
      @michakj4994 ปีที่แล้ว

At first I could not understand the "first class content" of this episode. Now I do after reading posts of the fans of Matt and Amy. You have showed me what good the British add to small nations living over hundreds of small island across the oceans. Matt and Amy continue to develop great traditions of the SAILORS from the British Isles. I would like to continue speaking about this issue.
Save sailing! Keep developing love between you Two. God please bless Matt and Amy.

      Michał

I started wondering about this for sometime, but it’s really starting to get more relevant, what are you going to do after you get back to England? Will you continue your TH-cam channel and sail around the North Sea? Or maybe you plan to go down towards the Mediterranean. It’s just been so long since I’ve been watching your videos and I’m just wondering is this going to be like a favorite TV show ending or do you actually have other plans?

Mixed feelings about this one. Would love to talk and sail, with you and to learn from people with so many more ocean miles than me, but this was seemed a little too ‘Thomas Cook’ and cramping you. Not sure I could have enjoyed crowding you in this way … it would spoil the very thing that would otherwise be so special. And oh. I approve of your new stern flag 😉 Very smart
