    I have found that the off-brand baseplates that I buy have an issue where they warp --- such a pain. I've since replaced them all with LEGO brand baseplates despite the additional cost. Great video and new sub

      yeah i only use them in the city where i wont see them and they are a pain

    I don't like the idea of smoothing all the bumps out. Lego should have bumps. It's their brand.

    I like the idea of raising the roadbed off the baseplate. It would give me room for wiring of lighting that is already a PITA enough on a flushmount... I'll be trying this method for sure!

    I enjoyed the video watched too the end, informative, not sure if I want to do this method or just do the method of widening the roads that I came up with and just lifting the buildings with plates. This way definitely would cost more, that's the only downside of it, other then that it would be great.
    Wish I had a lego store I could go to and get pick a brick stuff right away and whenever. Seems like ordering online takes a month or more, someday I hope to get started on a part wall.

      yes in one of my previous city updates i just lifted the buildings up with the styrofoam boards you can find at the dollar store. Me too i don't have a close enough lego store where the malls are like a zoo so i just order it online.

    The question is: are the new road plates in the end cheaper than SNOT built roads or not?

    • @brickmotorsports3664
      @brickmotorsports3664  ปีที่แล้ว

      Good question depends if you have existing parts but if you were to do a major makeover it would cost some.

    Do the AFOL know about this?
    The bracing of the Road Plate elements seem to not
    need structural standards?
    The colors of the parts/bricks-to me-help illuminate
    the different construction methods used for the build.
    Like your take on the plastic habit err, hobby!
    I DISLIKE the new element, everybody can play off.

    If there’s one thing TH-cam needs, it’s more videos exactly like this, which is exactly like umpteen other videos, explaining how to build a lego MILS road plate, which is so simple that no instructions are actually needed.
