This is tragic tbh, it was the most fun item ever in this game, so refreshing reaching end game and beeing able to run this fast especially in old biomes etc. I really am not a fan of this change.
@@thedarkflowkiller but in turn it let's the stamina bar go 3 times the distance, in the end you ate getting to farther locations faster but shorter locations a little slower, but taking away the need for wind is supposed to try to make up for that
Don't get me wrong though to each their own and I can understand your dislikes with the change, I haven't used the cape at all so I was throwing in an unbiased opinion
@@cargentiusg5289 To be honest I never needed "more" stamina. When you are high level enough to get that cloak, you can craft any food pretty much, and having 250+ stamina + beeing able to get stamina pots makes you not care about stamina consumption at all. Plus, you often have to stop running to dodge stuff or jump over stuff. Unless you just run straight in the first biome for fun, it's pretty hard to run out of stamina if you go full stam food.
@@mmorgz6622new feather cape is honestly better imo. Using the jump mead makes your jumps only require like 8 stamina and with the recipe nerf they’re dirt cheap. And why swap bc of fire? Just keep your bubble up and you’ll be fine it’s a 700 dmg shield that fire and poison can’t apply through.
@@maxchopin409 At blood magic level 100 it absorbs 700. As to leveling I afk'd at draugr villages with archer skeletons on the 4 corners of the spawner house and left my game on while i slept or watched youtube.
Cool to have 3 great options to pick from. My preferred approach is using the speed cape for mage and armor cape for melee, carrying a feather cape for climbing. You can even buffer equipping your cloak while feather falling, which is super satisfying when you get familiar with the timing.
I guess this now replaces the Feather Cape especially since the Feather Cape no longer grants additional jump height and falling is just never a problem outside the mountains.
Oooo i misunderstood the change this actually isnt terrible,still a shame that you cant zoom anymore like before but at least you constantly have a buff now
@@LucasDavenport-w6y apparently part of why they did it is you could become SO fast that older consoles were having trouble rendering the map to keep up with the player speed
@ nah the progression is really repetitive and boring after awhile the game forces you to kill time with building. However the mods you can add to the game make it really fun

it gives a speed buff just while wearing it now no need for wind direction

yea im running old feather cloak mod and only swap to asksvin cloak when im dealing with fire related enemies

with bogwitch update theres feather falling potion but only reduce falling dmg
