Van Halen changed from David Lee Roth to Sammy Hagar in the mid 80s as their lead singer. They actually changed style slightly from the late 70s early 80s heavy rock to the more contemporary mid to late 80s pop/love rock , and it didn't affect their album successes for the next decade.
I would see Kevin with Wet Wet Wet and I would see Marti Pellow solo. They are both lovely guys. On balance Kevin has a better voice, but Marti has more cheeky chappie charisma.
No Marti Pellow, no wet wet wet!
One tomato don't make a salad - Kevins voice is amazing.
It's even worse now that Neil and Tommy have left. They're pretty much done as a band.
@@mrnobody4771 perhaps you should take your ear plugs out karaoke 🎤 KEV has been the downfall of the band
Marti prend trop de coke et sa voix est pourri c est fini pour lui
@@mrnobody4771 u Serious???
Kevin is a great singer, so hard to replace someone as distinctive as Marti Pellow.
Agreed. Kevin has an excellent voice, probably better than Marti, but not quite the charisma. I would see both versions live. ❤
Mamma mia che tristezza! Marti è inarrivabile!
I've never seen this line up before Missing 3 members is a bit of a stretch but the vocalist does the best that possibly could be done - Fair play.
Greame Clark had arsed the legacy of this band by refusing to let go.
Flogging a dead horse, sad to see.
I love.... I'll only
Is this Karaoke??
Kevin does a decent job but without Tommy on drums , the band has no drive . Time to retire the band chaps
Shouldn’t they just it’s embarrassing.
They’d probably make more money doing one off ‘reunion’ appearances with Marti every few years than perform this rubbish in small venues.
@@gavlptvbk8665spot on!
No Marti no party
I came here just for the bass

More like Damp Damp Damp without Marti
The balding guy at the back of the stage at 3.15 is me!
What were you doing there?
@@byronwelch1288 I was the guitar roadie, look8ng after the 2 Graeme’s. I’m also Graham , just to confuse things!
@okiwatashi2349 Oh nice. Cool job !
@@byronwelch1288 I’ve retired now, but it was a fun life, hard on the body !
They look bored and just going through the motions. No fun without Marti
Where's Marti
Left 5 yrs ago.
Trying to think of an 80s band I would pay to see if they had a replacement singer...nope. Cannot think of one.

@@marcogiordano101 Yeah, fair point, well made. Sammy was quality and brought something to the party.
Genesis ?? ,ACDC ? Just saying

Lack lustre. Feel sorry for Graeme desperately holding on for dear life but he’s got to smell the coffee it’s embarrassing
Can't replace marti pellow
They have ,, Its Tommy they can't (haven't ) replaced
Rank rotten
It's only the way can make a living now.
Not sure why he needs to stand on a box. He's not that short.
