In "The Bone Hunter", scenes with the vilain (before the reveal) were shot with all the suspects from the script instead of the real vilain. That's a boss move script (and a great movie overall)
@@TheeWandaStanIt's the lighting. If the pause it on the moment on one of last shots where he has his back to the camera reaching out with the left hand to push them away the skin tone seems more neutral to me.
If you do quick pauses across the brief moments he force pushes you see he is not wearing gloves. Look at those hands/fingers/nails and then go back to the beginning when Qimir is walking up the mountain talking to Mai look at his hands and tell me it isn't him.

@@hollywoodguy70 The problem with the "pronoun" scene is that it is badly written. The answer to "Who is that?" could easily have been "This is Bazil, he is (or they are) our tracker. Problem solved and way better writing. All in all this is a bad script esp. in this episode. They wanted to cram so much in this first series that they got lost in details and desperately tried to fix it. Also the acting is not exactly on par even with the og trilogy.
It's a nice echo to Rogue One, another time period during which the Sith are supposedly non-entities, and wherein someone sees a Sith approaching and says "What is that?"
Another thing: Thank you, and wave squad, for being a haven for those who want to just enjoy and discuss Star Wars in peace and not grifting for hate clicks 🙏
I love the positivity and the vibes on this channel You guys watch shows for what they are and not what you want think they should be! It’s really refreshing in this community!
True, but these guys do claim to have a vast knowledge of lore and star wars history. However, they fail to call out the inconsistencies that arise in this show that lean towards going against that very history. That's a little frustrating.
That's because this is entertainment, not religion. The franchise is allowed to add to and update its own lore. Fans shouldn't flip out over every small change.
Not finished the reaction yet, but this episode being called “Day” I think the next will be “Night” considering that’s when the battle will take place. Probably stating the obvious here but not seen anyone mention it.
They show him collecting water when Mae screams. If it is him, which i still think he’s a red herring to make us think it’s him, then he would have had to run faster than her to kill kelnacca before she arrived, which as “the master” he probably could’ve
I love Yord's response to Osha asking him to stop (kill) Mae. It's such a jedi response. Turning it around on her to try and make her see the inherent darkness in such a request. Dunno if he succeeded (probably didn't) but an attempt was made. He so easily could have just said "sure osha", if he was as clueless as some people are making him out to be.
Also if we want to get technical, Mae didn’t kill Torbin. Yes she gave him the poison but he made the choice to drink it. He killed himself. And not under duress either. So the only Jedi to fall by her hand was Indara and I wouldn’t be surprised if she didn’t actually die. Her and Vernestra could’ve faked it and used the murder to hunt down Mae. Just random thoughts.
@@wildshape Not really. As it is shown, she offers him a way out on a debt from 16 yrs ago. But again, bad writing. He could have killed himself at any point in th epadst 16 yrs. Why wait until she shows up. This is disapointing.
@juergen404 He asked her for absolution. That's why he didn't kill himself sooner. He wanted to wait for her to show up so he could beg for forgiveness. Then he was ready to take his own life.
So according to Kyle; Leslye said there is a "Predator" and "Alien" episode. Are we getting those in Episode 5 and in a later episode? They are going to be fighting a Sith, seemingly, in a forest that is already considered to be dangerous. Then they are going to try to escape back to the Jedi Temple but are they going to be re-routed to a space station or a bigger ship and the Sith infiltrates as a stow-a-away and kills everyone? This series can really turn crazy if that's what happens and Leslye did say the show turns into something different half-way thru, right? or am I misremembering?
Kelnacca had images of Mother Aniseya’s Ascension tattoo in his home. Her tattoo bore a strong resemblance to the double spiral of the Yin Yang symbol. Did you notice Mae’s tattoo was only single spiral, though?
Smilo Ren is now my favorite nickname being given to our mysterious dark sider. I'll never tire of the Jedi saying: "In the name of the galactic senate of the republic, you're under arrest."
People are really upset about Ki-Adu-Mundi being here saying it's lore breaking because he is the one to say the sith have been extinct, but no where in the scene he's in do they declare that they are dealing with sith, they brush it off as some rouge jedi order branch and even then sol and venestra are keeping stuff from him and the others
@@parker.e The people who are upset are looking for things to be upset about. Plus, the show ain't over. My disposition to appreciate... and I'm good at. I hope you're having as much fun with it as I am, Parker! 🙂
Even by those standards my friend by all intents and purpose this being has already killed two masters (prior to the Wookie being offed) and now potentially we have the rest of free cast being killed. And if the show ends the way I think it’ll end then my friend thats just bad writing
When Maes master showed up, I just could feel the threat and darkness he is! And just when the Jedi were about to attack him, he just force-pushed them with one hand! I had a feeling that Maes master would be powerful, BUT NOT THIS POWERFUL!!!!
It makes sense that the Sith would be powerful at this point. 900 years earlier, Bane killed all of the Sith and since then, each Sith has been more powerful than the last because the apprentice has to eventually defeat the master.
@@mattpryor216 I wonder who her master's master was! This takes place 100 years before the skywalker saga, so I wonder if Mae's master will later be related to Palpatine!
Don’t get it twisted, I loved this ep, warts and all. That ending ruled, though. (Saying this to differentiate myself from the gentleman above me, who I’ve seen make other comments that were pretty blatantly awful)
@@jasonmarbach Yesssss, anytime i tried to talk fairly, i got jumped n like a lunatic. So i stopped playing nice. And ive reviewed and reviewd the show repeatedly. Somethings i have grown to like, some things i have not.....
And as before, my guy, if you can’t defend that very silly statement, it renders you an immediate unserious person. I’ve yet to see you offer even a full-throated *attempt* at critiquing this (flawed, imperfect, but quite good overall so far) show. How about I start? I’m a fan of the show and Star Wars in general, but I can name some flaws in it. Ready? 1. The pacing is inconsistent and occasionally too abrupt, like the ending of episode 1. Also, Smilo Ren’s dialogue at the end of episode 1 was a bit stilted and weird, but I’m willing to put a pin in that particular aspect for now in the hopes that the show will revisit that plot point and give those words greater meaning later. 2. Master Torbin’s beard in episode 2 looked weird. Uncanny valley weird. In a show with such a good mix of practical and cgi affects on characters, I can’t help but wonder why they didn’t leave the beard off, and let the wig and facial scars/damage do most of the aging work on the character. Maybe digitally thicken the actor’s jowls and shoulders a little, things that happen to men as they age from young men to fully grown men, but mostly, I wish they would’ve foregone the beard and let the rest of the (pretty good) practical effects and digital scarring carry more of the aging load. 3. Mae’s turn in ep 4 felt a little quick. Not egregiously so, but enough to be noticeable. Perhaps it would’ve landed better had they devoted more time to her internal conflict, but she’s only really been around Qimir, so it’s not like she had a good exposition vessel to whom she could confide any mounting doubts since seeing Osha at the end of ep 2. Qimir is clearly at least on the side of their master (if not the master himself, though I now think that’s a bit too obvious, he’s reading like a red herring character) and so would not have been a safe place for her to voice her mounting doubt. 4. While Ki-Adi-Mundi’s age is not established in canon (actually, even Cerean lifespans are not established in canon) and as a result his appearance here works completely fine (and could even really be awesome, if they end up re-contextualizing his line in the prequel trilogy by having him be part of the cover up of the events in the acolyte from the ground floor), I still wish they’d used a different Cerean character. Or a different character altogether, since supposedly Cereans are kind of dying out and there aren’t that many of them. So, KAM’s presence is fine, I just wish they’d have chosen someone besides him. Unless they do end up taking the big swing and making him a part of the cover up of the events of this show - that would rule. A very bold swing, indeed. Okay. I’ve offered good faith criticisms. I’m being genuine when I say that I think the show is flawed, but still very good. Do you have a real good faith critique to offer?
I like how the Sith Lord just floated down. I think that I know how. In the Expanded Universe (now Legends) the early sith lords had the ability to fly using the dark side. It's one of the "lost techniques of the Sith" from the Expanded Universe.
Sooooo… That powerful Force blast at the end was definitely the Power of Many version of the Force Push they showed in ep 3 right? The way the Sith floated in the air was also very witchy, and we know now that he was not giving tests to Mae, but « final lessons ». Add this to the markings on the face of the helmet being similar to those of Mother Koril + the official blog describing her as « the twins caretaker and a fierce warrior »… Mother Koril wanted to kill the Jedi, she was the last one to have a walk with Mae before she turned psycho murderer, and we didn’t see her amongst the corpses. It smells Mother Revenge For people saying it’s Qimir, it’s mathematically impossible. Mae says they have a couple of hours before the sun comes down and the sun comes down shortly after Mae trapped Qimir. Which means it took them hours to reach this part of the forest. How could Qimir go back to the ship to get his armor, go back further in the forest AND kill Kelnacca? That’s impossible. The only way is the Master being already there to supervise and Qimir warned him/her about Mae’s betrayal.
I doubt it's Mother Koril solely on the fact that the Sith's helmet cannot fit her horns in it. The front of it is too smooth and rounded for her to properly fit in it unless she literally removed her horns.
There was some weird editing in this episode, but I am still so looking forward to seeing where this story goes. Loved re-watching with you guys, as always ❤
I really like Mae's decision. If her sister is alive, surrendering it's the most logical move, which is something characters rarely do in TV shows. Now is up to the show to pull her back into the dark. The "master" not killing Osha, makes me thing it could also be Koril (not sure if we saw her body in the last episode). and Qimir could be the master's master, pretending just to keep an eye on his own apprentice.
At first, I was iffy. But so far, it’s not a bad show as the internet makes it to be. Not perfect, but hey, I enjoy anything Star Wars, honestly. Lol. As long as it’s something my siblings and I can watch, I’m up for it. It’s more like a murder mystery style show in the galaxy of Star Wars. I always look forward to hearing Kyle and Bendu’s input! Fair criticisms, fun points, pointing fun little Easter eggs or other lore tie ins, whether direct or nods from previous titles. No storytelling is perfect, but it’s nice to have a few creators that don’t jump the hate train and give things a chance.
I will say that the part I love the most is seeing new worlds. I just pray we don't see Tatooine before this is over. I swear Yord is the embodiment of everything that is flawed about the Jedi. He is so unaware of how arrogant he is and is a total tool about it. Thats not confidence, thats arrogance. Be more like Sol man. But also that actor plays that to perfection. That end was just brutal. I was like nooooooo in my best Vader voice.
OK after reading the comments. I dont think the dude with Mae is the actual master. I think he might be the apprentice. I pray they are not that on the nose to make that dude the master.
I really want to think Qimir is the Master but maybe they’re trying to make it seem obvious like that as a red herring only it for someone to be completely different!
I think Qimir is a massive misdirect. I watched Episode 3 a couple times, the second time paying close attention to Koril. Koril has odds with Mama over how the girls are raised. She is much more the disciplinarian than Mama and she opposes Osha testing out for the Jedi. Also, she carried the twins so she has a connection to them that Mama never had, even though they call her Mama and not Koril. There is a shot that lingers on Koril looking at the generator system that eventually explodes and she is the one that is most disillusioned by the Jedi and what they represent to the coven. She also is the one witch they made a point not to show using her powers. Also, the Sith is very thin and could easily be a woman. She would want revenge over the death of the coven and her partner, Mama. Osha being alive would do little to change her view of the Jedi and her belief that they must be erradicated. I also think she has been manipulating Mae this whole time because she was more controllable than Osha. Last piece of evidence, look who Mae stands next to when she receives the witch mark. It's Koril and they look like a Rule of 2.
The way The Master showed up in the end, so creepily, was the best moment for me. Best episode so far, for the adventure, a little office politics, and the tense vibe and ending. For sure we’re getting Kelnacca scenes later, when we see what the Jedi ACTUALLY did to Osha/Mae’s coven.
I’m glad you’re loving it but personally I hoped it would be better. This episode was a bit boring for me but the set up for the next has me intrigued.
I think Osha had her memories manipulated during the fire incident. When Qimir was caught in Ep2 he did that throwaway joke asking Sol not to wipe his memory. Might not be a joke after all. Osha was not stabbed by the Sith, so he/she most likely is either a surviving witch, or a Jedi Master (Indara or most likely Torbin) who faked their death.
Mae kept saying "your master" to Qimir so I wonder if he IS Smilo Ren....but not the Master. I think he's the Apprentice and was tasked w something specific involving Mae by his Darth Lord.
I am 100% convinced this show is re-contextualizing The Phantom Menace and Revenge of the Sith, that Qimir is actually a new canon reboot of Plagueis, that he is trying to find out how Mae and Osha were conceived so that the Sith can create their perfect acolyte (Anakin, eventually) and that Palpatine's little talk with Anakin at the opera house is not just him manipulating Anakin for his own immediate ends toward fulfilling the Sith master plan but also testing to see if Anakin knows what really went down 100 years ago and thus what he is (he doesn't). Qimir is just way too manipulative, clearly desperate to retain control over Mae, if he can't have her he'll take Osha, though he probably wants them both. Smiley is obviously insanely powerful and if Qimir = Smiley is right, it all falls into place. Plus PLAGUEIS, and the dude is all about potions and stuff? Dude is a straight-up warlock in the classical sense, a male witch. I love it :)
The master's entrance was so good in how minimal it is. Just floating in the background without so much as a musical stinger, made him feel so ghostly and creepy.
HELLO THERE!!!!! The music at the near end of this sent chills down my spine as Smilo Ren floated down to the ground, it reminded me of Dooku floating down from the 2D clone wars show. This masked apprentice isn't truly a master, the real master is yet to be unveiled. The one detail I've caught is the sun already setfast the moment we got Kelnacca's body shot. The cliffhanger left me hanging for MORE, MORE!!!! I predict the next title is Night as it’s already dark by the time Smilo Ren showed up!
I'm seeing the synchronicity of 2024 Star Wars in this episode. First, in this episode we have the live-action debut of the alien species that was introduced in an episode of Bad Batch season 3: the white cat-like creature that was abducted by Cad Bane for Hemlock's experiments. Secondly, the emphasis on the fact that Jedi don't believe in attacking an unarmed person. The High Inquisitor's first lesson to corrupt Bariss Offee was to make her attack him even though he was unarmed. He had to convince her. This is absolutely, in my opinion, intentional by the Lucasfilm Story Group.
20:51 I know some are hating this change of events, but what brought us here? The conundrum of killing a Jedi without a weapon. Mae backing out of the deal real or not will Force someone else to do the deed, no? Qimir would also be blamed for shortcomings--"Don't tell the master, will you, this won't bode well for the both of us," or something along those lines is what Mae said to Qimir when she had him make her the poison. This episode is really making it look like Qimir is the Sith Lord, but Mae's conversation with him makes me believe that she has seen both Qimir and their master together. Still, Qimir reminds me A LOT of Palpatine acting defenseless on Grievous ship while being saved by both Anakin and Obi-Wan.
You can enjoy Star Wars and dislike certain shows or parts. It is clear that this show is shaking up a lot of things and some are not gonna enjoy that. Doesn't mean they don't enjoy Star Wars. Just means they disagree with a certain direction. Like me for example. I haven't particularly enjoyed this show so far but I still love Star Wars. 🤷♂️
@Toastydood1990 Obviously, this comment isn't aimed at you. I don't care if you like The Acolyte or not. I don't care what you do or don't like; though, it would be nice to engage with fans who didn't just complain about every little thing every chance they get. 🤷
I feel like I’m screaming into the void that Qimir is not the master. Watch it be some complete unknown on some Marrok shit in Ahsoka. There’s definitely more to him but he’s not the boss.
I think it’s Mother Koril. We never saw her body; she would want revenge against those 4 Jedi. Qimir is too obvious (on planet, but off camera when everything goes down). Mother Koril was on Brandok when Mae was “orphaned”, and could have retrieved her to start her training.
I love new stories and ideas - I like how there is an edge to Star Wars now Andor gives as grounded “reality” based view of Star Wars. They are real people living in a material world. Becoming brick when you die… you become a part of the fabric of the community - epic world building The Acolyte is rooted in the mystic - it’s ethereal, hidden, and discombobulating. Star Wars isn’t just about the flashy space ships and robots Star Wars is about samurai space wizards and far out cultures way beyond our own Star Wars is a dyad of technology and mind Think of the contrast between Vader and Palpatine on the Death Star (surrounded by technology) And Yoda on his jungle planet devoid of technology or Kenobi on his desert planet that still had life and technology was limited
I have come to the realization of what the "Master" wants... It goes back to his first line "An Acolyte kxlls the Dream..." The Master wants not to have the "Dark-Side Bastardization" of the Force, but rather the Antithiesis(sp?) of the Force. Think of how each Jedi Master died... Master Indara had the Absence of Defense. Master Torbin had the Absence of Faith. I believe we will see that Kelnaaca died from an Abscence of Honor(Notice no signs of Struggle in his home... What kind of Wookie LETS HIMSELF Be Lightsabered?) I believe that as @ShaunSum49 States, the "Master" is the Acolyte and that he wants Sol to dxe in the Absence of Love.(which is NOT Hate, but rather Uncaring, & Unfeeling). Creating everything that the Force is NOT. Creating a "Borg-Like" Mentality(Pardon the use of the term), where everything is doing the tasks, there is ABOLUTELY NOTHING BEYOND THAT.(No Faith(Light or Dark Side Force), No Love, No Honor, & No Defense of Oneself or Others). Literally Erasing the tenets of What Everyone believes and holds true whether Light, Dark, Grey Or Something Else. This is the "SHIFT" Master Vernestra is talking about...
So, two things. 1) I think we're going to experience a story-structure invert now that we're half way through. Next episode, clearly, "Night", which will do the twists and reveals of who is who as a cliffhanger maybe but with some lingering questions, leading us to the episode after that with another solo title that'll look into Mae's version of the story. Last two episodes will have dual names again and tie up the remaining story. 2) I think the thing with "is it Qimir or Mother Koril?" is that *that's* the mystery for now but ultimately at this juncture, you feel you have all the PHILOSOPHICAL board pieces in place. I think Leslye's big "Kreia" inspiration is the character of a Sith similar to that of Palpatine on a philosophical level: A villain whose means are to deny your inner power and instead find victory through other means, rejecting the overt power (Qimir and Mae even briefly talked about the Sith Code, which means the Master has probably taught Mae the Code of the Sith, and that was a sort of commentary on power and victory). Qimir or not, Qimir seems to get that the lesson the Master is trying to teach Mae is that whatever power she wields is her greatest weakness, just like any Jedi that leans too much on sabers and the Force, without access to those things, suddenly the Jedi are weaker than most people out there, having honed no abilities or skills outside those. I think at the root of it, the Master's goal is to destabilize the look of the Jedi in this era in the whole "You can make God bleed" thing. I think at first the Master is training Mae to become stronger than the Jedi by not needing those tools, but that also will prepare Mae to use the *truth* of whatever happened that day to crumble this current Jedi Order. There's already ideas at play here about Osha's anger towards Mae being something she hasn't confronted and overcome. With Mae realizing she doesn't need to *be* evil because she can have her sister again (and if we're being honest, Mae's resolve was always stronger than Osha's), what's stopping the Master from turning his attention towards Osha instead? Episodes three and four are toying with perspective and the proximity and blurring of what light and dark is in terms of personality and ideology. How far removed from the light is Mae? How far removed from the dark is Osha? Whoever the Master is, I feel like these truths and ideologies are going to show their hand in the next episode and the real takeaway will less be the mystery and more about what this show says about these philosophies at play. Palpatine's philosophy was the long con, power through politics to overcome a problem of numbers. Kreia's was one of manipulation, the rejection of the Force as something that plays with destiny and the abandonment of both factions (but when the chips are down, she was Dark), what will the Master's stance be?
Thanks Kyle and Bendu for another great reaction and commentary. I’m glad that I found your awesome channel when Andor came out and since then I’ve continued watching your videos. Love the fact that you’re so positive and enthusiastic for Star Wars. Thank you both. And may you bend the Force to your will…
I've been loving this show so far :) I've kind of started to avoid the online Star Wars community, just because I've gotten to a point where I like to enjoy things based on my own impression and nothing else I suppose. I don't even watch trailers or promotional content anymore, but I've been loving this show so much and decided about a week ago to look online and hopefully engage with the Fandom a little because I like seeing and hearing people talk about things I like yknow, and I've kind of been blown away that you guys, Generation Tech and only a few other channels seem to actually enjoy this show... it's so baffling it seriously feels like I'm watching a different show like I seriously am confused by the criticisms. I don't even really know what's being criticised? I've seen a few people call it "woke" but I don't even know what they're referring to? That word really has lost all meaning at this point. I've seen some people say it breaks canon but people always complain about star wars breaking its own Canon only for an explanation to be offered later (or, in the case of Ki Adi Mundis age, it being the most minor change from stuff that is essentially just placeholder secondary Canon or even legends lore) Went off on a little tangent but yeah just wanted to say that I love this channel and how it's a place to come to enjoy and nerd out over something we as fans love :) Also, the characters in this show are great. Sol has quickly become one of my favourite Jedi in the franchise. Osha and Mae are also great. I wish they released this show all at once, or even like 2 episodes a week or something this one episode a week feels like drip feeding 😊
I am curious to see where Yord's story goes. I feel like he is set up as the embodiment of what the Order will become by the Clone Wars, and it would be interesting to see him change his mind on being so officious, partly to show us the Order is still closer to High Republic than Prequels.
Last episode showed how committed Mae was to her ppl and their way of life. She seems to legit think that her and Osha have a destiny together like their mom said. So it makes sense she cares more about the promise she made to her mom/tribe than any master offering revenge.
Your reaction to that ending was literally my reaction lol, dammit I wanted to see more of the master who looks badass!!! Loved the reaction as always may the force be with you both ❤
Another thing, Sol saying ‘when this is all over I’ll tell you everything’- that was a clear sign that he’s going to die before he can say *anything*- or his last words will be trying to tell her....
The master (or apprentice) is a witch who was a part of the comunity (my guess, the girl who carried the twins).. only survivor saved by a sith lord. She strong with the force like swept 10 jedi exactly like during the training of the twins)
Last week, everyone thought Koril was a Sith. This week, everyone thinks Qimir is a Sith. Why not both? I suspect Koril is "Darth Teeth", while Qimir is Koril's master (possibly Apprentice to Tenebrous, or maybe the Sith Master himself). But I really like the idea that Koril is "Darth Teeth", because it could explain why Ki-Adi-Mundi is so sure Qui-Gon's red light saber Zabrak isn't a Sith Lord. Suppose the Jedi defeat "Darth Teeth", and they find out it's Koril. Well, they know Koril is a witch (not a Sith, or so they think). Then, when Qui-Gon reports of another Zabrak wielding a red light saber, Ki-Adi-Mundi would be like, "Okay, but that doesn't mean he's a Sith Lord."
Another possible clue pointing toward Koril ... It looks like Kelnacca didn't struggle, similar to how Torbin didn't struggle. And it looks like Kelnacca wasn't mentally well, based on all those twin spiral symbols everywhere. It's plausible Kelnacca was as wracked by guilt as Torbin. So, imagine Koril appears before him, not wearing a helmet. It's like how Mae confronted Torbin, right? Maybe Kelnacca just lets Koril kill him. Or maybe he commits suicide in front of her as penance.
I predict Mae dies and Osha is the real Acolyte. Mae immediately wanted to stop and said she loved Osha still but Osha has said nothing but bad things about Mae.
When your Force game is so strong you just push the whole show off the screen and bring the credits on. That was such a great episode, I'm really hoping e5 is called Night and picks up right here. I like the Qimir theory, but I also wonder if they're seeding just enough and actually using him as a misdirect. Ki-Adi confirmed, but also check "additional voices" for some familiar names... I swear Sam is just everywhere.
The more I think about it. I wonder if the master is the other mother of Mae. That ending when the master was face to face with Osha felt parental. Also explains how the master would know Mae's power. Lastly, they pointed out how the witches used force push and that is what the master uses against Jedi. Loving the series so far!
I like the helmet of The Master a lot more in closeup than I originally did. It looks rusted and old, and amateurly constructed, kind of like a medieval relic. Before when we first saw it in the trailer I thought it just looked like a jagged up and down teeth monster mouth was drawn on, RAWR! lol. But it looks like the teeth are actually piping. I wasn't really thinking it much before, but I absolutely do think Q-name dude that I can never remember is him now. Kellnacca dying before we got a chance to know him is the only part of the show so far that I'm disappointed in. I'd be cool with him dying, but I wanted to see how HE felt about what happened with Osha and Mae first. Just have some time to BOND with him! Also, man when the episode ended it really felt like it was just beginning. So shocked it ended there since I didn't check the episode length first.
“Pansy Ponzi Patsy” Yeah I know that person 😃 Great reaction Kyle & The Bendu! That ending scene and cliffhanger dialled things up for me. Totally invested and I like you I cannot wait a week - my beard will go grey too (though still not as glorious as your stellar beard Kyle 🥺)
Now we have an authentic review to this episode from a true SW fan and reactor who knows what they are talking about compared to these other reactors who I feel don’t have that much knowledge about SW.
"kill a jedi without a weapon" Does that mean turn them to the dark side? "Darth Vader killed your father" Or does it mean force a jedi to attack an unarmed person as they keep saying jedi wouldn't/don't do that?
But what if the sith lord is master Indara? Its a long shot, but kenaka was sitting down and maybe thats beacuse he was killed by someone who he knew. Nobody knows the masters identity and the gender identity dialogue in this episode could hint to that. Whatever happened on Brendok couldve currupted Indara and maybe just maybe oshas mother possesses her and still is.

Agree!
In "The Bone Hunter", scenes with the vilain (before the reveal) were shot with all the suspects from the script instead of the real vilain. That's a boss move script (and a great movie overall)

When the master showed up was so chilling with how silent it was
I 100% believe the bad guy is the acolyte and is manipulating Mae into being their personal assassin like Ventress was to Dooku.
I think the bad guy is the Sith master's apprentice. Mae is The Acolyte. But i don't know it's fun to speculate! Cheers!
@@ichigen511 You’re right, I wasn’t thinking about the ranking system of the Sith.

I love the “what is that” instead of who. The idea of a sith is so foreign to them
It's a nice echo to Rogue One, another time period during which the Sith are supposedly non-entities, and wherein someone sees a Sith approaching and says "What is that?"
Another thing: Thank you, and wave squad, for being a haven for those who want to just enjoy and discuss Star Wars in peace and not grifting for hate clicks 🙏

@@hoos3014 agreed 👍🏾
@hoos3014 yeah unfortunately most are not so entertained by recent content.
Not finished the reaction yet, but this episode being called “Day” I think the next will be “Night” considering that’s when the battle will take place. Probably stating the obvious here but not seen anyone mention it.
Qimir runs off to "find water" and Kelnacca ends up dead, then he's "snared" and the Master appears. 🤔
They show him collecting water when Mae screams. If it is him, which i still think he’s a red herring to make us think it’s him, then he would have had to run faster than her to kill kelnacca before she arrived, which as “the master” he probably could’ve
The cliffhanger reminds me of the Rebels season 2 premiere, where the first episode ended on Vader arriving to confront the Ghost crew.
She is still responsible for his dead

The master's descent was very Second Sister from JFO!

So yes, the show IMO is blatantly awful.
I WAS JUST SITTING HERE WAITING FOR THAT CLIFF HANGAR AND I KNEW IT WOULD FREAK YOU GUYS OUT!!!
The whole floating down scene was badass!
Great reaction, I can always count on you guys for your insight 👍
TWO WEEKS? TWO WEEKS? I'm just laughing here like, "I survived the ending of The Empire Strikes Back."
Can I just say I'm digging the design of that Sith Lord?
I like how the Sith Lord just floated down. I think that I know how. In the Expanded Universe (now Legends) the early sith lords had the ability to fly using the dark side. It's one of the "lost techniques of the Sith" from the Expanded Universe.
Completely unrelated, but the beard is looking extra fresh today for some reason haha.
Sooooo… That powerful Force blast at the end was definitely the Power of Many version of the Force Push they showed in ep 3 right?
The way the Sith floated in the air was also very witchy, and we know now that he was not giving tests to Mae, but « final lessons ».
Add this to the markings on the face of the helmet being similar to those of Mother Koril + the official blog describing her as « the twins caretaker and a fierce warrior »…
Mother Koril wanted to kill the Jedi, she was the last one to have a walk with Mae before she turned psycho murderer, and we didn’t see her amongst the corpses.
It smells Mother Revenge
For people saying it’s Qimir, it’s mathematically impossible.
🎯 They kept that terrible chant in because in those words were critical. I'm buying that Smilo is one of the mothers.

It SO reminds me of Padawan Kenobi
OK after reading the comments. I dont think the dude with Mae is the actual master. I think he might be the apprentice. I pray they are not that on the nose to make that dude the master.
11:48 yes you can't blame Sol for that, you better call Sol, though.
So we need that patch too? :D
So, I'm wonderinf if Darth Smiles wants these 4 dead because they may know what creates the twins and he wants to ensure it stays secret?
"Darth Smiles" lmoooooo
Good lord this show is so freaking fun. Fantastic Star Wars.
I was so upset at the ending. Why do they play with our emotions like that?
Turning a Jedi to the dark side could be a way to interpret of "killing a Jedi without a weapon"
You know the nerdy kid helping may is really the master.
The master's entrance was so good in how minimal it is. Just floating in the background without so much as a musical stinger, made him feel so ghostly and creepy.
Thank you guys for being one of the few positive places to watch reactions for this show. I really appreciate it.
Mae's "friend" is 100% the master. There's way too many hints unless its a massive misdirect
It reads like a massive misdirect, especially halfway through the show.
Plot twist. The Master is Mother Koril.
Thanks for being a safe haven for us Star Wars fans who actually enjoy Star Wars.

Great reaction! Here's why Mae flipped: Defeating a Wookiee Jedi? By hand? Yeah, I'm out.
Qimir's funny "what?" fits perfect to Mae's so random line about her decision.
The Kel Dor Jedi is Ithia Paan. The next episode is probably gonna break the internet, theseries has some great fights scenes, I can’t wait.

I love new stories and ideas - I like how there is an edge to Star Wars now
Andor gives as grounded “reality” based view of Star Wars. They are real people living in a material world.
Becoming brick when you die… you become a part of the fabric of the community - epic world building
The Acolyte is rooted in the mystic - it’s ethereal, hidden, and discombobulating. Star Wars isn’t just about the flashy space ships and robots
Star Wars is about samurai space wizards and far out cultures way beyond our own
Star Wars is a dyad of technology and mind
Think of the contrast between Vader and Palpatine on the Death Star (surrounded by technology)
And Yoda on his jungle planet devoid of technology or Kenobi on his desert planet that still had life and technology was limited
Qimir is just a red herring. We are meant to think he's the "Sith".
They couldn't make him a more obvious ed herring if they tried.
He looks verry evil. Maybe not Sith but just as bad
or to think he's the red herring! what a twist!
This is the "SHIFT" Master Vernestra is talking about...
yeah im so hyped for the show, great cut!~

Just did my reaction! ahhhh gotta wait a whole week now!!
I've seen some people say it breaks canon but people always complain about star wars breaking its own Canon only for an explanation to be offered later (or, in the case of Ki Adi Mundis age, it being the most minor change from stuff that is essentially just placeholder secondary Canon or even legends lore) Went off on a little tangent but yeah just wanted to say that I love this channel and how it's a place to come to enjoy and nerd out over something we as fans love :)
Also, the characters in this show are great. Sol has quickly become one of my favourite Jedi in the franchise. Osha and Mae are also great. I wish they released this show all at once, or even like 2 episodes a week or something this one episode a week feels like drip feeding 😊
Thank you for being so positive.
17:35 the old sci-fi "red shirts" are now known as "brown cloaks..." ☠💀
Your reaction to that ending was literally my reaction lol, dammit I wanted to see more of the master who looks badass!!! Loved the reaction as always may the force be with you both ❤
Master Roy is one with the force.. just finished Cataclysm, can confirm 😢
You guys are awesome!
Mae passed the test, by threatening to out her master, she forced him, to kill Kelnaca. He is dead, and she didn't use a weapon.
Woop good S01E04 & so far El Fine S01 🙂 Good times streaming at S01 & restream with relaxed pace two to three weeks after S01 ends 🧘♂
The more I think about it. I wonder if the master is the other mother of Mae. That ending when the master was face to face with Osha felt parental. Also explains how the master would know Mae's power. Lastly, they pointed out how the witches used force push and that is what the master uses against Jedi. Loving the series so far!
Osha . I am your mother... no your other mother.
In order to kill the Wookiee Jedi without a weapon, she had to break the deal.
at the first watch I didn't see Kelnacca's wound and was "oh cute, he is asleep ".......cuz he made that infusion in the beginning 😂😂😂😂😂 😢😢😢😢
What an episode! Now we have to wait! Nooo!
“Pansy Ponzi Patsy”
Yeah I know that person 😃
Great reaction Kyle & The Bendu!
@@Agherosh I am altering the canon. Pray I do not alter it again.
Star Wars 'canon' used to change all the fucking time. I promise it'll be fine.
"kill a jedi without a weapon"
Does that mean turn them to the dark side? "Darth Vader killed your father"
Or does it mean force a jedi to attack an unarmed person as they keep saying jedi wouldn't/don't do that?
I wish they dropped this episode with the next at the same time
But what if the sith lord is master Indara? Its a long shot, but kenaka was sitting down and maybe thats beacuse he was killed by someone who he knew. Nobody knows the masters identity and the gender identity dialogue in this episode could hint to that. Whatever happened on Brendok couldve currupted Indara and maybe just maybe oshas mother possesses her and still is.
To be fair, she didn't murder torbin. All she did was give him poison. He drank it on his own
37:54 Yord DOES have a Padawan, Tasi Lowa, the Zygerrian shown in episode 1. They unfortunately didn't use her much because the makeup was a pain.
He is the apprentice and the master is Plagueis that is training an apprentice without his master knowing. Way before sidious ofc
