The memories are in the wears not when you thrifted them. I know I have pieces in my closet that I can’t remember when or where I got them. But I’ll remember if I wore them on a first date, on a trip with a friend, or on a note worthy occasion.
Alexa I absolutely adore your beautiful jeans collection! They fit you perfectly. I’m sorry I’m so late to this video but I have been OBSESSED with jeans since I was a teen and have had every shape rise length and wash under the sun!! I’ve been thrifting vintsge 80s and 90s jeans including CK/guess/ Levi’s / jordache/ nada nuff, contempo casual, Nine West, bongo, lawman (you might like those if you like Rocky Mountain) MUDD, Skoozi, Armani, Ralph Lauren and wherever else catches my eye. I couldn’t afford most of these back in the day so I’m having fun finding them for extremely affordable prices now! I refuse to pay crazy prices plus Abercrombie is selling reproductions of the jeans we are thrifting which is giving me such a thrill to have the “real thing”. 🩵👖
for anyone uncomfortable with knowing their measurements due to the numbers, use a string! Knot or label the string for different measurements ( waist, inseam, rise). Alternatively, I know my waist measurement on my arm, so if i grab hold of the waist of a pair of trousers and keep my wrist stretched the waist needs to reach a certain amount past my elbow crease. The arm trick helps if you're forgetful and with the way jeans are normally hung at the thriftstore you can generally do this rough measurement without even taking the trousers of the rack. ♥hope this helps someone
In an era of athleisure, I feel like it’s a superpower to gravitate towards quality denim. I personally feel so much more comfortable in any pair of Paige or Citizens of Humanity than any pair of leggings. And I instantly feel more confident and put together. Bonus that they’re incredibly easy to find at thrift stores; you just have to sift through thousands of Old Navy and Universal Threads.
A good pair of jeans is invaluable, really. I just thrifted a pair of jeans from the brand Rag and Bone (a pricey British brand) for only 6.59! One of my best finds this year.
I absolutely love straight leg, thick, vintage-feeling denim with a very high rise. I loved when high rise jeans came back in because I was totally scarred from low rise jeans. I just feel really secure when I wear high rise jeans! I really love straight cut styles and I have a few pair of baggy jeans that just really make me so happy because they are so comfy. My favorite denim will always be a high-rise flare because I feel like every body type looks good in flare, however if you're a short girl like me flares can be hard to wear unless you're wearing heels too. For your DIY Levis, I am 98% sure a tailor can fix what you did. It was a good try.
Love a collection review! When sewing denim, be sure to get a denim machine needle, usually labelled as 100 thickness. They need to be thicker and stronger to deal with the dense fabric and layers. Protective eyewear is always a good idea as well. Finally, use a (rubber) hammer to smush down any too-thick seams before sewing them. It was your first try at resizing, give yourself grace! There’s always a learning curve. But the tailors usually do a good job as well.
The bows😍 The denim😍 10/10!! I found an amazing pair of Levi’s vintage jeans at a vintage shop the other day and I got so excited! They fit PERFECT! My first thought was “wow Alexa would be so proud right now” 🤭🤭
Thanks for taking the time to talk about denim. I have a hard time with jeans right now. I’ve transitioned away from skinny jeans and it’s been a journey
Vintage Lucky Brand jeans are my favorite thrifted score. I too, wear all black when I am having high anxiety! It makes me feel safe. You have a beautiful collection!
I definitely love the softer denim. 😂 I had one pair of thick denim jeans and it was a no for me. But nonetheless I’m excited for your collection, cause I’m able to accept different opinions
Loved this video - if you ever want to do more collections videos that would be amazing! I love seeing people's favorite pieces in their wardrobe. I wear a lot of vintage Men's jeans because I have slim hips, and I find a lot of vintage Women's jeans get wider at the hips for curvier people. A Men's cut is slimmer in the hips and fit me better. Do you only own Women's jeans or do you have any Men's in there too?
I loved seeing this collection! My body has changed in size over the past year so I've been finding it hard to wear denim I feel good in. This inspires me to go thrifting for new peices!
I don’t know what it is but I love jeans so much !! And I’ve been loving that everything yet nothing is on trend so I can go from 1970s dark blue tight jeans to ultra baggy light wash button fly or super low rise flares and everything is cool!! I’m also starting to enjoy 100% cotton stiffer denim that holds your body shape too! I wear jeans based on outfit occasion weather and how my body feels that day.
i really love your jeans collection, as part of my "work uniform" we get jeans pants, they are soo bad. When i visit the US I always go to the trift and find amazying jeans that i can wear for work/ I work more than 10 hours a day the jeans needs to be comforable and fit just right
Finding your perfect is so important with denim…as a Shortie I have the opposite problem and just don’t want to have tons of raw hem denim so I end up cuffing a lot
I only own 4 pairs of jeans. 3 are black and one is dark blue. Your Zena jeans remind me a little of my FAV jeans from 1986. They were mostly the color of your Lee jeans, but behind the front pockets they were gray. There were also small pockets at the knee (not cargo pockets) that had gray behind them. In '86, tight rolling was BIG. Growing up short, I had to cuff ALL of my jeans (I may have a little until I found these. They were meant to be 7/8 length, and they fit me beautifully and ended just above the ankle. I wore them often.
I’m not sure if this is just me, but a trick that works for me is wrapping the waist around my neck. If the two sides touch it should fit. All of the pants I’ve used this method with fit me PERFECTLY.
Loved to see all of them. I do see the differences and understand that they can feel different, depending on the way you feel. It's nice to be able to chose from all those cool pairs of jeans. I do like how the 7 for al mankind jeans looks with cowboy boots. I don't think we have seen you before in other long jeans with cowbody boots?
I don't know why this works, but it does! Take the jeans and wrap the waist band around your neck. If it fits around your neck, it will fit around your waist when you try them on. Cuts down for me what I even bother to try on.
Hey Alexa! Would you like to do a video on your go-to make up? Love the way it looks! P.S. my boyfriend is now watching your videos with me because you are so fun 😂
the jeans you took in and only wear with a longer top: have you thought of sticking a wide white lace bow over the bit you sewed? like make it cottagecore and cute while still covering up the seam
maybe just roll the hem up twice on the lee jeans that are too long or is that "lame" idk i would wear it rolled doubled like an inch with a cute ankle sock and docs
I feel bad because I saw your post on IG about how this video didn't do as well in the first [insert amount of time here] as your other videos, and I was planning to watch it at the gym and then my lazy behind didn't go. I know realistically I didn't single-handedly eff up your stats but I still feel the need to say I'm sorry and I'm watching it now!
14:30 Jeans are almost impossible to sew on a machine unless you have a special needle and an industrial machine. The jeans are actually really cute on you--if I were you I'd pull the stitches out and sew them back together by hand. If you overlapped the two halves they would lie flat and yes, it'd look like a diy--but it already does and sometimes that kind of thing looks cool.
Random side note - that Music in the Backround sounds exactly like the music IBERIA plays in the airplane while boarding/going inside the plane and after landing hahahaha
TIMESTAMPS (because I love to ramble)

also love that I said every pair of jeans has a memory and for half I'm like "idk when I thrifted these.." 🤦🏼♀
They all have a memory, you just don't have the memories 😅
The memories are in the wears not when you thrifted them. I know I have pieces in my closet that I can’t remember when or where I got them. But I’ll remember if I wore them on a first date, on a trip with a friend, or on a note worthy occasion.

Oh that’s a really helpful sweet idea!! Very smart.

When life isn’t always sunny, it’s good to know that it’s always sunny here! Boop! ❤️
This purple jeans are sooo cute! I can see wanting to style it fall but I definitely think if you paired white tops with it it could look springy
i need to see your t-shirt collection! i feel like you have the coolest bunch of shirts :^)
this is exactly the kind of video to have in the background while I review and reorganize my jeans collection in this hot, boring sunday afternoon!🤩

I LOVED this video!! What about a non-pants denim collection video? Denim skirts, jackets, vests etc.
Love a collection review!

Yes! I was gonna say she may possibly be able to get them fixed still.
The bows😍 The denim😍 10/10!! I found an amazing pair of Levi’s vintage jeans at a vintage shop the other day and I got so excited! They fit PERFECT! My first thought was “wow Alexa would be so proud right now” 🤭🤭

Yes!!!!! It's hard!
Guess what I saw Abercrombie advertising skinny jeans. They’re always going to be here and they look nice!! So if you love them wear them!! 🩵
The red bows just love them 💓💓
Enjoyed this one!! Wouldn’t mind a peep at other closet collections, like dresses or skirts or whatever ❤
I am in love with your hair in this video!
Vintage Lucky Brand jeans are my favorite thrifted score. I too, wear all black when I am having high anxiety! It makes me feel safe. You have a beautiful collection!
The last pair looks really cute with your red maryjanes and white socks.
I definitely love the softer denim. 😂
I had one pair of thick denim jeans and it was a no for me.

I think the 6 long jeans look great on you as they are. I really like how the light wash boot cut ones look on you too! ❤
My favorite jeans are literally my mom's jeans from the 80s 😭😭 I've patched them so many times but until they're tatters I'm not getting rid of them
I loved seeing this collection! My body has changed in size over the past year so I've been finding it hard to wear denim I feel good in. This inspires me to go thrifting for new peices!
Love that you wear and love all the vintage brands. So much better than what you can buy today. PS, Love the lei jeans

This is one of my favorite videos of yours! I’m also a denim lover ❤
the last blue jeans look so good on you!
i really love your jeans collection, as part of my "work uniform" we get jeans pants, they are soo bad. When i visit the US I always go to the trift and find amazying jeans that i can wear for work/ I work more than 10 hours a day the jeans needs to be comforable and fit just right
This is my 1,000nth sign that I need to go to the thrift store and find denim/jeans to add to my collection 🥰
Finding your perfect is so important with denim…as a Shortie I have the opposite problem and just don’t want to have tons of raw hem denim so I end up cuffing a lot
SAME I'm getting bored with cutting/cuffing my pants, on the look out for clothes that actually fit me 😭
just thrifted pairs of vintage Tommy Hilfiger jeans AND overalls so I am HERE for the denim content
❤route 66 and Zena were both K-mart brands in the 80s.😢I miss K-mart clothes soooo much❤
LEI was my jam in high school 💜🥰
I love those citizen jeans on you.
Great video Alexa, love the red hair bows. How about a part 2 with denim jackets, overalls etc? Thank You.
I only own 4 pairs of jeans. 3 are black and one is dark blue.

I love the cut of that citizens of humanity pair and they look incredible on you!!
I hate jeans, but I enjoy your passion for thrifting the perfect pair. Thanks for sharing Alexa! 🖤
You look INCREDIBLE!!!!!
I’m not sure if this is just me, but a trick that works for me is wrapping the waist around my neck. If the two sides touch it should fit. All of the pants I’ve used this method with fit me PERFECTLY.
Omg your hair 😭 so cute!
Loved to see all of them.

I do like how the 7 for al mankind jeans looks with cowboy boots.
I don't think we have seen you before in other long jeans with cowbody boots?
I love a good thrifted denim! I have some Route 66 jeans and some Rocky Mountain jeans. They just don't make em the same anymore 🥲
I don't know why this works, but it does! Take the jeans and wrap the waist band around your neck. If it fits around your neck, it will fit around your waist when you try them on. Cuts down for me what I even bother to try on.
Good morning alexa happy Sunday morning and I loved your vlogs and you are amazing Supporter and I'm proud of you
Best Jean collection frr!!
Your hair is so cute in this video omggg
Love this video! Your denim collection is so beautiful ❤
I'm glad I'm not the only one who hates the "whiskering" detail.
None of my favorite thrifted jeans fit me anymore 😭 love this video tho I’m hoping to restock my jeans collection before fall so this is good inspo
I just commented the same thing 🥲
Hey Alexa! Would you like to do a video on your go-to make up? Love the way it looks!
P.S. my boyfriend is now watching your videos with me because you are so fun 😂
Your hair is so cute!
Love your hair 🎀❤
Love collect videos. Would love to see more collection videos.
the jeans you took in and only wear with a longer top: have you thought of sticking a wide white lace bow over the bit you sewed? like make it cottagecore and cute while still covering up the seam
Alexa I think if you cut the bows where your hair ends would look so cute!! If not you do u girl ❣️🫶🏼
Random question for you: do you think famous celebrities donate their clothes to goodwill in California or in particular Los Angeles?
I love your outfit!!
maybe just roll the hem up twice on the lee jeans that are too long or is that "lame" idk i would wear it rolled doubled like an inch with a cute ankle sock and docs
Omg nooooooo!!!!! Don’t apologize!!! It’s more that I just want to make sure I’m making stuff that ya’ll wanna see ❤️❤️
You should cuff the Lee jeans you said you wanted to cut 💚💚💚
idk if Its just me but the last jeans looks like a REALLY deep dark blue to me, not black.
Also the 3rd one is so cool and unique, I love it.
on the tag does it say what style the wrangler jeans are? Thank you! don't know if you'll see this!
You can shorten the length of your jeans and keep the hem, there are tutorials on doing so
You can shorten jeans and still retain the stitching on the bottom. There are TH-cam videos about how.
I think you have the wrong shoes to pair the lee jeans. Try them with different shoes, perhaps the cowboy boots 🤩

Omg, her instagram filter came to life from her cheeks and into her hair!!
Am wondering how tall are you, if you don't mind telling?😙
Amo esses jeans mas aqui no Brasil está difícil de obte-los
What happened to the blue iconic wranglers 😭
Being 6’1 and all legs has made thrifting jeans nearly impossible for me😭 but I’m not giving up yet🤞🏼
What happened to your left braid? 😭😭
I had sold most of my jeans, then got lucky and thrifted 3 pairs of Harley Davidson jeans.
girl do you actually lounge around your house in jeans??? how 😭😭😭
❤
👖💖
Citizens of humanity is like an expensive jean 😂
not to be a hater but depop sellers that don’t include measurements when selling vintage denim are my enemies. every single of them.
Your hair is getting so long again. Also, it might not have been what you were going for, but I like the raggedy anne/annabelle braids and bows.
You don't have any white pair of denim 😱
I blame you for my addiction to thrifting denim 😂🤍
