The game began with Kuro taking away the orb, and it ends with Kuro bringing it back. Game stars with Kuro's babies dying and Kuro surviving, game ends with Kuro dying but her baby surviving.
I can't stress this enough. You can't understand how stressful this chase sequence is when you don't feel the rumble of your controller increasing the closer Kuro gets to you.
One mother's understanding to another..Kuro remembered what she had left upon witnessing Naru embrace Ori, sacrificing herself to correct her mistake..and spare her last child still as a helpless egg.
Kuro seeing a mother holding her injured child and realizing that what she is doing is not right is just so sad. 😭In her quest for revenge, she indirectly hurt countless others and put her unhatched child in danger. 😢
Not all games can make you deeply sympathetic to the antagonists. When she took Sein, tried to kill Ori, and when she returned Sein to the spirit tree, Kuro had always only wanted to protect her children, even if it means forfeiting her own life.
I died multiple times on the hangglider section becuase I was too stressed to see that there was a wind current there I needed to ride. So I just kinda repeteadly slammed ori into the firepits of death. Oops
Thank you for posting this. I tried 100 times to finish this stage, I finally do and as soon as the owl puts the light orb down, I get a software failure error message and I get booted to the Switch home screen! My "Noooooooooooooooooooo!!!!!" would rival any other in cinematic history. Now I know I actually beat the game and saw the ending, so thank you. 😁
this happened to me too 😭 i thought i had to restart that escape. I was dreading bc the escape was so stressful i had died many times 😭😭 but when i saw the achievement was saved i searched here for the cutscene😢 so sad didnt experience it full first hand
Beautiful ending. Thank you so much for posting this, because I died hundreds of times trying to get to the end and just lacked the skillz to pull it off.
Just beat the game. This final level was hella difficult. For soek reason i thought Naru was going to throw hands with Kuro. I am happy with how it turned out.
Will of the wisps may be better gameplay wise and even story( o havent played it yet) BUT blind forest was first and I love it alot. I finished for the second time today and my first time playing the definitive edition. The memories oh god!
I think Will of the Wisps had better gameplay, but this game has the stronger story and the stronger heart. You can't go wrong with either, but the first one hits hard.
Thanks for this. My game glitched at 3:23 right when ori jumped for the tree with the feather(right before the bird got him) and now it won't start so 20 hrs deep it glitches at the end...
I feel the moral here is an interesting one. Many would say Kuro was not really doing anything wrong here, as she was defending her family. She objectively lost most of it already, and the light is clearly incredibly dangerous to her and her last child. Kuro literally had to make the conscious choice to essentially leave her child with the light. And while the child would probably be better off with the light restored anyways (less fire at the very least), that wasn’t what changed her heart. It was the realization that her actions had caused suffering on others who were actually innocent. She never meant to do harm outside of protecting her child, and she immediately tried to correct it when she realized she had. I… hesitate to call her a villain honestly. An antagonist for sure, but none of these actions are done with evil intentions. The story is simple yet morally complex in an interesting way. No need for hundreds of plot twists, just a thought provoking narrative about three families.
I finished this game twice on normal, and now on hard with 384 deaths. Not that bad?😂Anyways, this last scene always makes me cry. Now time for Will of the Wisps. I am excited.
When everyone says this game is hard honestly it’s just putting people off thinking it’s actually hard but most of it isn’t. Honestly like r people that bad at this game
@@lauebce ummm but ginso tree only requiere double jump and bash. And bash was in practice before the escape. The only thing about Ginso tree is the music and the water rising that induces panic in the player lol xd

dude, you punched in the heart.
You also play as Naru in the beginning of the game, and the last time you input any buttons before the game ends is when you play as Naru again.
@@jacobcox4565 masterclass!
I think it tells you the story of nature. That nature repeats itself over and over. The cycle of life and death.
So hard not to tear up every time i watch this. Poor Kuro didnt deserve anything bad happening to her
I know

Agreed, i felt nothing watching this, but playing it back the was so fucking stressful
Especially when you're trying to do a no death run, my nerves went through the roof and my heart beat out of my chest

There's hard, there's too hard, there's "so hard it's ridiculous", and then there's this! Half of my deaths must have been on this chase alone...

Oops
Yea
I found the escape from the Ginso tree to be the hardest bit, almost rage quite at that point...almost :D God I love this game
i thought it was a bit tough. later realized i struggled hard because i didnt have air dash
What's air dash? @@Link9058
This is a tough chase sequence. Without this vid I wouldn't have realised I could zoom off the falling rocks. Cheers

Even 4 years after I first experienced this, it hurts. It hurts so much.
F for Kuro
Masterpiece… Ori 1&2 is a masterpiece of gaming industry.
And then Ku was born
All she wanted to do was have babies and protect them 😢
I'm not crying, you're crying!
You have angered Mommo Bird and now must face her wrath
HOLY MOLY WHEN I BEAT THIS GAME I CRIED, THIS IS LITTERALY THE BEST GANE I EVER PLAYED
Just beat the game.

I broke my controller over my knee because of this chase
it is beautiful

1:24 I DONT HAVE THIS POWER YET, HOW DO I GET HROUGH?
I finished it with 700+ deaths on Hard. How badly did everyone else do? 😂
555 respawns on normal 😆
400 respawn normal, not as bad as my hollow knight count
350+ deaths on hard
Idk but it was 800 on normal by the time I got to mount horu. Keyboard controls took some time getting down...
@@SoulDuckling126 I died way more in Ori since dying is way easier, but less punishing. That’s ignoring Godhome ofc

Kuro is death
Hey thanks for putting spoiler in title I down voted and didn't subscribe lol
Why are you looking up TH-cam videos about the ending of the game before playing the game all the way through? Sounds like a you problem.
what a crappy end stage
Nice joke
your life must've been crappy 🙄
Skill issue!
It wasn’t that hard and it gave you time to learn your abilities unlike the Ginso tree escape.
