4:06 i dont think the commenter meant to "tell you what to do", more like telling you what we as viewers would be interested in viewing, as we all admire your creativity! Could be inspirational for us skaters if we could find something to repurpose our old griptapes;)

I bought this as a gift for my friend th-cam.com/users/postUgkxcZqgZ8Ynkiz5n_LxIWRlAicuzmz5kCHG who is just starting out in the world of wood work. He loves it!! There is a great section on different wood and what to use for what kind of job and a similar section for tools as well. The projects in it are things you probably would have a go at with clear instructions, pictures, videos and diagrams throughout. Great for a beginner/amateur wood worker.

When my old board got damaged, I added some lumber to it and use it as a base for moving items now. I can get 6 fence panels on it now and roll them home. Saves paying for delivery. Also I make stuff from pallets and love re-using wood that way. Love the skateboard!!

I used to make my own skateboards in high school woods class.
Our shop teacher built us a wood steamer and jig setup for doing it.
We carved out the shape (concaves) of a board onto a big chunk of wood, then glued/laminated pieces of Maple together for the plys.
Clamped the laminated pieces to our shaped jig. Steamed the wood until it was moldable to the jig. Clamped it tight. Then after a couple days, take it off, cut out the shape on the band saw, router the edges. Sand it. Some people painted them. Some cleared them.
I actually still have one that I kept around 20 years later!

What type of Holey Galahad disk do you use? From the video is seems you're using the course one. When I look at it on amazon it seems pretty course for binding skateboards together. I'm afraid this course of a disk will create deep grooves that will require more epoxy to fill them. Thanks!

Those skateboards look awesome and have me wishing I could learn to use one. Sadly, unless I could ride one in a wheelchair that's not going to happen soon 😥 Just on the "are they more prone to breakage?" topic, could you make them thicker gor the extra strength or does that effect the hardware and performance of the board? Looking farward to the new shop renovations 😊👍👍👍

Question...... why do you cut them down before you sand off the graphics? Would it not be quicker to move 1 piece than several? This means you could take the grip take and graphics off before you decide the project and in smaller numbers depending on how many you get at a time.

One question, someone once explained to me that the "pop" was related to the glue being "crystalline" and when the glue starts to age the board get rubbery. Does relaminating the wood produce a good pop? When you tap the boards on the table they have that nice sharp "yeah, I got pop" sound.
