I agree with everything except for the fact that when you were talking about the "animation errors" in the pilot, you showed pictures of smear frames. That's part of the reason of why the animation in helluva boss is so good. You find them in every episode.
God I hate that how the hell do so many people make it their job to talk about animation and TV shows yet no fucking nothing about how they're actually made, people do this all the time in the film commentary community

To the "every character has trauma" thing: The show takes place in hell. So if you grow up there I only see three things you can turn out as. A psychopath, evil and/or traumatized. And if you want people to like your cast, trauma is the safest bet. I mean Millie is more on the psychopath route... but a lovable psychopath.
I view Millie as more so just being extremely determined to keep her loved ones safe and having a lot of pent up rage she can take out on people who try to hurt her friends and family
Couldn’t agree with this more. We ARE a product of our environment even if you take genetics and such into consideration. It’s HELL. Sure it’s a way nicer and more cartoonish version closer to an angry red earth a lot of the time, but a version of Hell it remains. I’m honestly surprised Moxxie Millie and somewhat Loona turned out as well as they did considering where are and their situations. Sad.
Yes, but there needs to be balance. In the first season Moxxie and Millie were the comic relief/wholesome relief. It's the most comparable to the straight man trope where there are least two characters who are level headed and mature because if every characters is chaotic and dumb it's either going to get tiring or it won't have any impact in the future. We had Blitz, the likeable toxic mess who tries to keep everything together even with his past on his shoulders, Loona, his daughter who has anger issues and constanly lashing out on the M&M out of envy, Stolas is a selfish and morally complicated royal forced to be in power and his daughter is caught in the consequences of his affair. Moxxie and Millie, who were emotionally stable and often centered around jokes were the ones that gave us a little breathing after trying to swallow the other, less emotionally stable characters' actions. Now Millie is the _only_ character who stayed in this role and we're bombarded with trauma left and right. What makes it even more frustrating is that she is extremly shallow and this the only episode that gave her some spotlight yet. You need to have stable characters because that's what these kind of shows' basics requires to be strong. It's far more important and overshadows any kind of worldbuilding concept ( not to mention we have healthly characters, so it doesn't goes against anything ). ( English isn't my first language, so please, ignore the grammar mistakes. )
Idea on how to fix Millie in just a minute. Make her have a protector complex. Make her Care about everyone and make her feel worthless unless everyone are safe, but then let the others comfort her and tell her its okay
Honestly? I could see this being an actual thing with Millie! Especially with how she reacts with “Truth Seekers” when Blitz and Moxxie are left behind, or with how she goes ham every time a fight’s at hand!
@@maggie_knolastnamebut considering that she was raised in Wrath, the most physically demanding ring of hell, and being raised in a stable family by hell’s standards I would see her need to protect that.
I would also agree C.H.E.R.U.B.S. is by far the weakest. I just cannot see the cherubs returning in any meaningful way, not with how weak of an antagonist they are. They also don't fit at all with any current conflict in Season 2, not to mention they haven't gotten any mention at all ever since their episode.
They kinda fall into that same category as the D.H.O.R.K agents. They're set up as major villains, but because the main conflict of the current season mainly involves Stella, Andrealphus, and Striker; I don't see how they can actually factor into what's happening. I suppose it's possible these villains are setup for a later season (Viv said she's got plans for up to 8 seasons), but until then, we can only speculate.
The problem may not be with C.H.E.R.U.B.S. themselves (thought I kinda only care about the blue sheep guy, because he seemed more genuine for some reason), but with how nonsensical the setup felt. Literally the whole time I.M.P. could just kill the old dude.
I’d take cherubs over anymore Stolas related drama anyday at this point. Series was downhill for me cause we know more about that guy than Loona and Millie and I could care less. It feels more like his show than theirs and it’s a hell of a feeling.
@@HeilRay Don't you mean it's a helluva feeling? Jokes aside, I'm also longing to learn more about Millie. There's too much focus on the Stolas x Blitzo drama that the female characters keep getting sidelined. Even that recent Loona episode still wasn't enough to explore more about Loona.
I like Cherubs, mostly cause not every episode needs to have some sad story or deeper meaning and its just fun to the see the imps actually do their job
Cherubs was funny and I like the comedy but the concept of the cherubs just wasn’t great. Sure an episode doesn’t need to be emotional to be good (Harvest moon does a good job at that) the cherubs were only really highlighted for what they are instead of who they are. Plus they were never shown as a threat to begin with. And the whole convince Lyle to want to die didn’t need to happen.
@@AeonKnigh432The thing is, this an indie show. They had *every* ability to make the season longer in order to fit in more episodes like 1, 3, and 4. Hell, season 2 IS going to be significantly longer, from what we know. Those kind of excuses really only work for larger animation companies, who have to stick to much more rigid, much stricter schedules and formats.
@@benjaminfricke4791 Firstly, indie shows have a limited budget, and although Helluva Boss did have an unusually large budget, the suggestion that all indie shows have the ability to make seasons as long as they want is very misleading and outright false. Secondly, it took 3 years to make 8 episodes with what they had at the time. To extend the season by even just 2 or 3 episodes would be to drastically delay the season finale and ultimately turn the show from a more focused, story-driven serialized cartoon into more of an episodic cartoon with some story moments in each episode. The show does lean more towards the latter in early season 1, but quickly turns to the former. They chose quality over quantity, which was a choice that worked for this show. Besides, now that 11/12 episodes of season 2 are out at the time of writing, we can now see that each episode is much less episodic, and even those that are one-offs advance a character or, more commonly, the overarching Stolitz storyline. This is in direct contrast to the more episodic season 1 episodes, like Murder Family or Cherubs, which do nothing for the plot or characters, something that does not work with a show like Helluva Boss.
This show literally saved my life. I had a stroke in 2021, and literally kept pushing through day by day, just to watch the next episode for this show I remember getting to episode 5 was very, very difficult for me. But i made it. Got much better by episode 7.
Blitzø shouting "You are tripping ballsss!" in Moxie's hallucination in Truth seekers has to be one of my favorite clips from the show. Love that episode. It's funny, emotional and looks phenomenal!
With each new episode that comes out I notice things that I wasn't paying as much attention to before. Like now that S2E4 is out I realize that S1E6 is a big part of why Blitz thinks Stolas is impervious. Blitz saw him as someone he wanted but couldn't be on equal grounds with, and was therefore his "slave" rather than a partner, in his hallucination. Then Stolas shows up and proves to Blitz that he is even more powerful than he realized. Just the look on Blitz's face in that scene says it all. He saw Stolas as a prince but now more like a god who he loves but a god who only wants to trade favors for favors with his mortal toys. I mean, Stolas even makes it worse when he points out that if Blitz gets in trouble he will get in trouble. It sounds like, "I don't want to lose my favorite toy but the real reason I'm here is to protect myself from my overseers."
Can I just say that it's really refreshing for me to see actual valid criticism and kindness for this show. I know there's other like him too, but I think that certain narrative has been lately pushes on to my eyes, and it started to get bit exhausting.
Damn! I love that both of us placed "Ozzies" on top 1 🤝🏻, I was literally shitting crying while watching that episode. That amazing episode convinced my whole entire life that I LOVE HELLUVA BOSS SO MUCH!!!
My personal rankings would be 9. The Pilot 8. C.H.E.R.U.B.S. 7. Spring Broken 6. Murder Family 5. Queen Bee 4. Harvest Moon 3. Truth Seekers 2. Ozzie’s 1. Loo Loo Land Yes, I know I’m weird for having Loo Loo Land at #1, but I think it’s mostly down to the emotional connection I have with that episode.
Loo Loo Land made me full on cry. It deserves to be placed high on every list because it found a way to make me laugh at Stolas seemingly being a blind parent - but a blind parent desperate and eager to please his child. He's trying to be a good father, only to have his flirting with Blitzo be thrown in his face. That conversation on the apple ride, where he realizes this - and when he reaffirms that Octavia will always be his first priority - is when the show went from funny to heart-breaking so perfectly. And then, as an apology, a humorous little conversation at the end to tell us their relationship is going to be all right. That opening song though, "You Will Be Okay", got recommended to me by TH-cam without context. Just the song. Listened to it, cried, listened to it on repeat for days, and then finally hunted down where it came from. That _song_ is what made me a fan of Helluva Boss and this episode holds a special place for me.
LOO LOO LAND IS ALSO MY NUMBER 1! Let’s go! Most of you placements are similar to mine with two main differences 1. Switch cherub and the pilot. 2. Spring broken is slightly better then murder family Placements 2-5 were interchangeable for me depending if I cared more for animation or songs but you have a good list
@@vancefox yeah, that opening song is honestly my favorite song in the whole series. It means a lot to my mother and I. It was also essentially the moment that got me into Helluva Boss. Also, I related to Octavia quite a bit in that episode.
@@songbird9420 I can totally understand placing the pilot over cherubs. It was kinda 50/50 for me. Same thing for Murder Family and Spring Broken honestly.
Well, to be honest, I actually think that season one was probably stronger than season two so just ranking season one was probably a good call because almost every episode would easily outrank season two's episodes
I think it's important to remember that we're not halfway through season 2 yet, as 12 episodes are planned, so there's time for it to have amazing episodes :)
Exes and Oohs is the only one that can out rank episodes like Murder Family, because of the depth of characters it gives + the introduction of another main antagonist in the show. (Crim)
The only complaint I have about the show in general is the lack of subtitles. I'm HoH and have to listen to certain parts over and over to figure out what they're saying/singing.
I saw a post on this on twitter, they addressed it and recognized they should put subtitles. They've done it from episode 3 of season2 and said they will continue to put subtitles on previous episodes
This is my personal ranking of season 1: 9.- CHERUB: Not really much to say in this one, i agree with what was said in the video. 8.- The Pilot: I agree that the pilot it's incredibly funny and memorable, but since the only thing it does is just introducing the characters i can't really put it higher than the rest of the episodes that do have at least a little bit of character progression and story. 7.- Spring Broken: I love the whole stuff with Loona and Blitzø's relations as well as the exposition of his past relationship with Verosika.... But aside from that the rest of the episode and how it develops itself it's just pretty average to me. 6.- The Harvest Moon Festival: Im simply not a fan of the western aesthetic, i do think the episode is good and Moxxie's development is great... And Striker was a great villain... But i simply couldn't connect with this one enough to put it in my top 5. 5.- Murder Family: Perhaps the most simple episode in terms of premise but i LOVED how it was executed.... For me this is an example of what a good first episode of a series should be. 4.- Queen Bee: Beelzebub completely steals this whole episode... the song was great, the visuals were fantastic and Bee's designs it's simply breathtaking..... These 3 things alone made me put this episode where it is right now. 3.- Truth Seekers: Pretty much the same thing that was said on the video... With the only difference that I don't put this ep in second place because i connected so deeply with the next one. 2.- Loo Loo Land: I don't care what anyone says.... "You Will Be Ok" not only still remains as the best song of the entire show so far... But it's still also the single best and most beautiful moment/scene of the series as well in my opinion. The rest of the episode was also great as well... But "You Will Be Ok" was the first and so far only moment in the show that left me completely speechless with how well-done it was. Bryce Pinkham's performance here was sooooo good that after this point I almost forgot that Stolas had an original voice actor before him xddd. 1.- Ozzie's: What can I say about this episode that hasn't been said already??
Here's a thought to the remark of not seeing the cherubs again: Rather than reappearing in Helluva Boss, I can see potential in them making contact with our lovely Charlie from Hazbin since she wants to rehab sinners and the cherub trio would want to actively find ways to get back to heaven. They can just be introduced now in Hazbin fallen angels right away and have a flashback 2 seconds of some of the mayhem that they had with IMP as they explain their situation to Charlie. This would be a smart way to get people to jump back to watching Helluva in the extremely off chance the viewer didnt see it yet. (Tho of theyre watching Hazbin at all, not watching HB is doubtful, but hey. Covering bases.) I can see the cherubs being recruited as Hotel staff.
I personally rank truth seekers as my number 1. It was a strong 2 at first, but it has such heavy consequences after western energy. In truth seekers, stolas IMMEDIATELY came to save blitzo, cause he truly does love him, but when he was in danger in western energy, blitzo was nowhere to be seen. After that, the horrible date at Ozzie's, and his texts from the hospital being met with radio silence, i can definitely see stolas calling his relationship with blitzo into question, wondering if blitzo actually loves him back, or if he ever did, even though we know from the drug trip he DOES love him back and is just too scared to communicate that! AAAARGGGHHH, i am so excited to see where season 2 (and maybe 3) takes their relationship!
Not surprised at all about the number 1 pick. The House of Asmodeus is easily one of the best villain songs I've ever heard and it fits with the theme of the episode as well as the whole show so well.
I’m so ready to see an episode outshine Ozzie’s, not because I hate the episode, it’s also my favorite in the whole series so far, I just finally want some more major story moments like this with gorgeous visuals Which visuals aren’t lacking in any episode
1:19 cherubs 4:42 murder family 8:11 pilot 10:29 loo loo land 12:26 queen bee (MY favorite episode) 13:51 harvest moon 16:00 spring broken 18:10 true seekers 20:30 Ozzie’s
I'm so glad Truth Seekers was as high up as it was. When I first watched it, I had a full on physical reaction at how incredible the animation was. As a long time fan of animation, trying to delve into it myself at some points, I had nothing but pure, unadulterated hype and appreciation for the quality the animators put into that episode. Nothing will beat the high of watching Stolas go batshit insane at the humans. It's like the leap of faith scene from spiderverse for me, except it is violence and gore and I love it

“Moxxies weird habit of getting fucked by sharks.” Not once have I made the connection. But as soon as you said it, I immediately burst into a full belly laugh, and now I have to explain to my family why. Thank you for the laugh and the awkward conversation.
ill be honest at first i did expect helluva to be just a series of one shots based on sinners coming to I.M.P. for different jobs, and where the canonical/continuous storyline would just be the subplot in most episodes. im definitely not mad but im very very surprised and honestly impressed that this silly show has managed to pull at my heartstrings so perfectly i am obsessed with helluva
Hey Sarcastic Chorus, if Spindlehorse asked you to voiceover a character in Helluva Boss: 1. Would you prefer voicing an extra (to deliver a single zinger), or a recurring character who’s integral to the plot? 2. What kind of character do you think you’d have the most fun voicing? Human or demon? 3. If demon, which kind do you think you’d voice the best? Goetia? Imp? one of the Seven Deadly Sins?
I know this show isn't perfect. But I love it. My grandmother and I would watch the pilot together and we were planning to watch the series together. But sadly she passed away the Tuesday before episode 1 came out. So this show kinda has a personal place in my heart
The beginning of Helluva boss got me hooked because it was fun but then it lost me at the emotional scenes except for episode 2 . Stolas singing to Octavia was so unexpected and good it became my favorite episode because the emotional scene was great and it ended up being fun to watch the imps interactions with their surroundings.
I think the thing that bothered me most about the cherubs episode was that we see the cherubs get kicked out of heaven for being accidentally, more or less indirectly responsible for killing the dude I.M.P. was trying to kill, and, like, if that's the case, over in Hazbin Hotel land, Charlie's plan was shot before it even got thought about. And that makes me sad.
Every time I watch one of your videos, I notice a new small detail that I missed in my watches of this show. I had to slow it down, but you can clearly see Blitzø shed a single tear when telling Stolas that it's not happening in Ozzies. Dude wasn't just on the verge of tears he was actively fighting them back. Holy hell I love all the small details.
Helluva Boss is one of the only shows i can think of where you can ask anyone what their favorite episode is, and you’ll get someone to name every single episode. i’ve seen people with C.H.E.R.U.B. as their favorite, while others think it’s the worst episode in the series. i personally used to think Truth Seekers was overrated, but it’s probably ranked in my top 3 episodes overall now. it’s so interesting! really shows how each episode has its own charm and appeal!
The cherubs episode is actually my favorite because it’s the funniest and I love how it feels like a dark twist of a sitcom. Maybe I’m just weird but I like it more then the self indulgent drama episodes.
@@karinasilvanaramirez9025 And the ships sucks omg It’s supposed to be a funny comedy of demons in human world, but now is a bad drama with bad gay couples
The more episodes I watched, the more Helluvaboss surprised me. First I thought it was going to be an episodic dumbed down version of Hazbin hotel. But it quickly evolved in to an interesting story of its own. Loolooland made the sexual joke character (Stolas) In to an interesting character. In a single episode they made me care about him so much. And that was so surprising. I also love your review. Its pretty accurate, and I overall agree with it. Great video.
I find it funny that he keeps calling Luna a teen when she's actually 22/23 💀 (she was basically 18 when he adopted her, which was 5 years before the events of the show)
i agree with everything u said but personally id rank loo loo land higher mainly because of how cool of a character robo fizz is. like hes so much more unhinged and violent that actual fizz and i love how his voice glitches its rlly cool. i also love the episode because octavia gets more screentime :)
One of my personal favorites (maybe my third favorite of season one) is Queen Bee. Mostly for Cotton Candy and also more of Loona and Blitz’s relationship. It was cute but fun and was a nice bonus for season 1. I understand you putting it in the middle because it was in most people’s opinion a mediocre episode with highlights (this isn’t everyone’s opinion but this is what I have heard from most channels reviewing the episode/comments on the episode).
My ranking: 1. Ozzies: just amazing in every way. Chef's kiss of an episode. 2. Truth Seekers: love the song and the fight scene. Ooo and Stolas demon time. I've rewatched this episode so many times. 3. Spring Broken: like a lot of the character moments. Drunk Moxie is funny. 4. Loo Loo Land: When I really fell in love with the series. Nice insight on Stolas and Octavia. 5. Harvest Moon: This episode made Striker was cool. The action was great. Nice serious beats. 6. Murder Family: the beginning was great. It was nice to see i.m.p. on the job too. 7. Pilot: funny as fuck. little rough around the edges. Lets you know what this series is about. I do like the Helluva Boss pilot more than the Hazbin pilot too. 8. Queen Bee: Nice feel good epidode. It's pretty. I was waiting for the follow-up with Tex. Bee's cool. I like the Loona time. Not much to comment on. 9. C.H.E.R.U.B.S.: It is kinda funny but I hate the cherubs so much. I don’t even know why.
My personal ranking: 8. Ozzie's, I get second-hand embarrassment hard, and this episode was loaded with it. A shame, since Asmodeus' song was a banger. 7. Queen Bee, a fun time, but I have no reason to rewatch it, and I feel like the music video overstayed its welcome. 6. C.H.E.R.U.B., not at all bad, but other episodes just surpass it. 5. Spring Broken, I don't have any special comments about this one. 4. Harvest Moon, the final act was the most tense part of the season for me, and it had me excited to see more Striker. Sucks that 2-4 was garbage. 3. Murder Family, I could recite this episode I watched it so many times. It's just good fun. 2. Loo Loo Land, beautiful opening song, Stolas and Octavia's heart-to-heart was adorable, while the episode still manages to crack some great jokes. 1. Truth Seekers, the entire interrogation scene is my favorite part of the season and maybe even the show, and the action sequence at the end may be the season's best as well.
I’d put Spring Broken high up for all the reason you said, along with the addition of Tex to the side characters since he is such a bro. Kinda hope we see more of him in season 2.
Personally I would swap the pilot and spring broken it’s a great episode, it’s fun and hilarious but I would rather watch snippets than the actual episode
The fact that some people think they should have stuck with the "sinner of the week" formula is insane to me because it definitely would have gotten old fast with how short the seasons and episodes are so I'm glad someone agrees. I wouldn't have minded one or two more episodes like that before we got into story stuff but I'm just glad it didn't stick around too long.
Personally I think loo loo land is one of the best episodes with the best emotional moments while also having great comedy and action. Personally I would just swap episode 2 and 3 around on this ranking
man i was waiting for #1 and i was gonna be MAD if it wasnt ozzies (legit my fav ep is oops and 2nd is ozzies so clearly theres a pattern) but u pulled through and made me happy :) w ranking oh and yes house of asmodeus (idk the name but i yk wut song im talking about) is my fav music number helluvaboss has done
True. That said, surprisingly she’s barely not an adolescent. Late adolescence is actually from around 18-20/21 (at least in the US and Viv is from there so I’m assuming the world is based more on US laws and standards). I will also mention that a lot of people thought she was a teen at first.
queen bee episode is good on its own but within context of the show I think it doesn’t hold up well. It doesn’t add any context to the next episode and doesnt explain why stolas and biltzo are all lovely dovey. The ozzies episode was such a pivotal moment in stolas and biltzo relationship you cant just skip over that. the conclusion to ozzies should NOT have been shown through a 5 second scene where you have to pause to read. It also has luna recognizing biltz as her father and seeing him vulnerable so when you put that into context of the next episode where she’s literally hitting him because he said she has an attitude problem just makes her seem like a asshole. In general I think the episode is good and fun but for a show that puts an emphasis on character development and characters to the point where it neglects things like world building and other important aspects.. this show did more harm than good to the characters
Season 2 sorta skipped over the Ozzie episode and continued on like that episode didn't happened. I don't think queen bee was suppose to carry on Solas and blitz and was instead to give development between Blitz and Luna.
@@ZekDraco It didnt have to of course but I think a lot of people were hoping for it to. The episode is supposed to be fun and an homage to vizs first viral vid, Im aware of that. But since season 2 kind of just skipped over ozzies I was really let down when episode 8 didnt expand further on ozzies as I feel like that was a necessary development. (especially since the only reference is a text message you have to pause to read which is just abysmal writing in my opinion.) And it did succeed in giving development to luna and biltzo as I said before it had luna recognize biltzo as her dad but what my problem is that in 2 episodes after luna is beating on blitzo cause he said her attitude was bad and it just makes her seem like a dick
@@eve1385 I mean actual character writing isn't linear, like you don't necessarily change the entirety of someone's personality because they had one personal epiphany, you know? Loona being more accepting of Blitzø as her dad doesn't mean he isn't still going to piss her off a lot. I could see her being mad at him the next day after he had the whole drunken breakdown because it's harder to be vulnerable around him when he isn't hindered by booze and is his full-blown wacky and overbearing self instead.
@@psychotophatcat I understand what you mean. Im not tryna say the writing with luna is inconsistent or anything rather as more episodes are released she becomes more and more unpleasant. i noticed as the season progressed she just became meaner. luna was mean in earlier episode making snarky comments & yes thats a characteristic of her character but I dont recall it ever being to the point where she’d hit blitzo for petty reasons (correct me if im wrong). imagine if the person who stole the book wasnt octavia, the IMP organization couldve been completely destroyed and it would been lunas fault because biltzo simply told her she has an attitude problem. I dont expect her entire personality to change but when you put context of this episode in previous episodes in season two i think as a character it just makes her unlikable. Helluva boss already struggled with its female characters and the one female character thats actually relatively expanded on, that being luna is extremely obnoxious. but i do understand what you mean by harder to be vulnerable when he isnt hindered by booze but maybe if she had an actual valid reason to be upset then i could understand where shes coming from.
Loo Loo Land is my favorite episode BECAUSE it was the moment I realized I was going to keep coming back to Helluva Boss over and over again. So good. I randomly quote the entire Stolas x Stella x Via sequence at the beginning all the time. It's so fun... especially Stella's screaming, lol.
“I personally love Spring Broken because… reasons…” was a line that made me feel very, very seen. How does Helluva Boss continue to make Verosika Mayday so god damn hot?
1)This video was made before Unhappy Campers came out 2)He thinks Unhappy Campers is ok so to him, the "That theres no bad episode yet" statement still stands
I personally put Spring Breakers a bit lower on the list, it doesn't quite hit as hard for me. The big emotional moment with Loona just doesn't really land. Also, on the comment on what the show would have been if it was focused on the human killing business, I fully agree, and I'm honestly confused by people who were expecting that to be the main thing. Like, of season 1, only two episodes are really about them doing their job.

Idea on how to fix Millie in just a minute. Make her have a protector complex. Make her Care about everyone and make her feel worthless unless everyone are safe, but then let the others comfort her and tell her its okay
Sooooo kinda like Willow in The Owl House season 3 episode 2?
THIS IS SUCH A GOOD IDEA :D
literally yes, this would fit her character so much!!
I don't know. The episode was funny to me especially when that piano fell on that old guy 😂
When the season is only 7 (technically 8 but you know, really 7), it kind of does. It's complete filler when the season doesn't have time for filler.
"actually do their job." thank you.

1. Loo Loo Land
Yes, I know I’m weird for having Loo Loo Land at #1, but I think it’s mostly down to the emotional connection I have with that episode.
I agree with your placement of loo loo land
Let’s go! Most of you placements are similar to mine with two main differences
1. Switch cherub and the pilot.
2. Spring broken is slightly better then murder family
Placements 2-5 were interchangeable for me depending if I cared more for animation or songs but you have a good list
@@vancefox yeah, that opening song is honestly my favorite song in the whole series. It means a lot to my mother and I. It was also essentially the moment that got me into Helluva Boss. Also, I related to Octavia quite a bit in that episode.

Well, to be honest, I actually think that season one was probably stronger than season two so just ranking season one was probably a good call because almost every episode would easily outrank season two's episodes

I think S1E8 has them but I don’t think any others have official subtitles
@@Keep3r1438S2E4 has them as well, so I think they're putting subtitles in now.
I have auditory processing issues and I could've sworn they had CC on at least some of them.
yeah that's a huge L from this show
I saw a post on this on twitter, they addressed it and recognized they should put subtitles. They've done it from episode 3 of season2 and said they will continue to put subtitles on previous episodes
This is my personal ranking of season 1:
9.- CHERUB: Not really much to say in this one, i agree with what was said in the video.
8.- The Pilot:
I agree that the pilot it's incredibly funny and memorable, but since the only thing it does is just introducing the characters i can't really put it higher than the rest of the episodes that do have at least a little bit of character progression and story.
7.- Spring Broken:
I love the whole stuff with Loona and Blitzø's relations as well as the exposition of his past relationship with Verosika.... But aside from that the rest of the episode and how it develops itself it's just pretty average to me.
6.- The Harvest Moon Festival:
Im simply not a fan of the western aesthetic, i do think the episode is good and Moxxie's development is great... And Striker was a great villain... But i simply couldn't connect with this one enough to put it in my top 5.
5.- Murder Family:
Perhaps the most simple episode in terms of premise but i LOVED how it was executed.... For me this is an example of what a good first episode of a series should be.
4.- Queen Bee:
Beelzebub completely steals this whole episode... the song was great, the visuals were fantastic and Bee's designs it's simply breathtaking..... These 3 things alone made me put this episode where it is right now.
3.- Truth Seekers:
Pretty much the same thing that was said on the video... With the only difference that I don't put this ep in second place because i connected so deeply with the next one.
2.- Loo Loo Land:
I don't care what anyone says....
1.- Ozzie's:
What can I say about this episode that hasn't been said already??
Ozzie's is just perfect it's got emotion it has comedy and it has Asmodeous
You will me ok made me tear up omg- I loved that one 😭
Here's a thought to the remark of not seeing the cherubs again:
Rather than reappearing in Helluva Boss, I can see potential in them making contact with our lovely Charlie from Hazbin since she wants to rehab sinners and the cherub trio would want to actively find ways to get back to heaven.
Oh, and we didn't know how much we'd love Ozzie and Fizz back in season 1...
Honestly, they are all fantastic. It's like trying to rank your 9 favorite ice cream flavors.
With how great every character is I don't have a favorite...

Hey Sarcastic Chorus, if Spindlehorse asked you to voiceover a character in Helluva Boss:
I appreciate the animation and I'm always so blown away by the fact this is free on TH-cam.

“Ba-ba-ba-ba-ba-ba! Trumpet!”-
Best line in Helluva Boss
I'd actually put Truth Seekers at #1 because it's best example of why the series is called "Helluva Boss".

True. That said, surprisingly she’s barely not an adolescent. Late adolescence is actually from around 18-20/21 (at least in the US and Viv is from there so I’m assuming the world is based more on US laws and standards). I will also mention that a lot of people thought she was a teen at first.
Did anyone notice? That Luna is watching Charlie
queen bee episode is good on its own but within context of the show I think it doesn’t hold up well.
Helluva boss already struggled with its female characters and the one female character thats actually relatively expanded on, that being luna is extremely obnoxious.
but i do understand what you mean by harder to be vulnerable when he isnt hindered by booze but maybe if she had an actual valid reason to be upset then i could understand where shes coming from.
my list is basically the exact same as yours but 1st place and 2nd place are switched. Episode 6 is my favourite episode of all of them. I loved it sm
Objectivity even the bad episodes in season 1 where better then season two’s bad episodes.
I went in and guessed two things
“Cherubs is in last, Ozzies is in first.”
I’d say Murder Family is my least favorite and Ozzie’s is my favorite
Loo Loo Land is my favorite episode BECAUSE it was the moment I realized I was going to keep coming back to Helluva Boss over and over again. So good. I randomly quote the entire Stolas x Stella x Via sequence at the beginning all the time. It's so fun... especially Stella's screaming, lol.
The pilot is No.1 in my heart! ❤
I think I really agree with your rankings. Not sure if I would maybe move a couple around, but overall definitely agree majorly.
oh god
“I personally love Spring Broken because… reasons…” was a line that made me feel very, very seen. How does Helluva Boss continue to make Verosika Mayday so god damn hot?
I think we ALL know which episode is the worst, “deary”…
house of osmodeus being the episode is the only right answer thank you for your cooperation
The cherubs are the most annoying thing ever
OZZIE BEING ONE IS SO REAL
Ozzie’s is best.
"That theres no bad episode ye-"
S2 EP5's Honest Reaction:
Yep so true, well I guess all the fandom hate that episode xD
1)This video was made before Unhappy Campers came out
2)He thinks Unhappy Campers is ok so to him, the "That theres no bad episode yet" statement still stands
10:26 the " LOO x2 LAND" title freaking killed me, that's straight up hilarious
I personally put Spring Breakers a bit lower on the list, it doesn't quite hit as hard for me. The big emotional moment with Loona just doesn't really land.
Also, on the comment on what the show would have been if it was focused on the human killing business, I fully agree, and I'm honestly confused by people who were expecting that to be the main thing. Like, of season 1, only two episodes are really about them doing their job.
That intro immediately solidified my like and what I'd be watching for the next while.
