- Some think the KA-BAR USMC is not a good knife, but they seem to expect to much out of it. I share my thoughts in this video. Thanks for watching and subscribe for more content.

I have seen some reviews where this same knife was abused far more than I would have and it survived and performed well. I own this knife for sentimental reasons but I would not be afraid to use it to baton wood or even some moderate chopping, there are knives that are much stronger no doubt about it but it's still a great knife. When I bought mine around 15 years ago, I think I paid 49. dollars for it.
I have 3 of them. Love them. Spartan partnered with KA-BAR to make a Magnacut version that I will definitely buy as soon as I can
It's supposed to be a fighting knife.
Not a hatchet or can opener.
It's one last thing for self-defense because k ifes dont run out of ammo.
opening packages, cutting some string or cloth, maybe some carving, so on, just a pocket knife but long enough to defend yourself with, if you needed.
Exactly! People think that just because its a military knife its should be the best in every task. But if you actually been in the military you would know that with that kind of equipment, they usually look for decent tool for the best price possible.

Great a fighting knife very nice argument let's see the flaws within it now what do u think will happen if u try to stab into a rib cage with this knife?Take a wild guess based on what the video says that the knife bends if u put a bunch of stress onto the handle spoilers alert it will bend and break that what will happen if u stab a sturdy bone with it as such if ur knife doesnt do what it's designed to do than it's absolute g a r b a g e when it comes to utility for beauty contests than I would agree it looks prettier than most women nowadays but for utility purposes?It sucks 100% just like modern day women can't do shit this knife can't do shit it can do barely little bits of work here and there without damaging it and for a soldier a knife should be something u can trust with ur own life and something that can stand up to heavy abuse not a brittle little toy that breaks at the slightest stress placed on the handle speaking fax only
@@Dav624 oh come on it won't break from a rib cage, and I dont think you have spent one day in the military because to be honest this knife is a huge over kill for what you actually use knives in the military this days. Most people including my self carried some kind of multi tool.
@@user-ig6nu4oo5p excuse me but do I need to be in the military to get access military garbage productions?As far as I've heard from marine people who had this knife they all complained about it being too brittle and weak to do anything serious with and besides I've personally purchased one and tested it on some fake rib cage torso and it literally got a bend and got stuck into the ribs it didn't even penetrate them it's a terrible stabbing knife combat knife and if someone ever killed a bear with it the guy got real lucky and must have been a really sick and old bear or a cub
Love my kabar usmc and cold steel srk and maybe the cold steel more so for a plate carrier knife but that's me. Thank You for sharing!
I was going to say the same thing, the kabar is expensive compared to similar knives, Its also significantly heavier than something like the cold steel recon tanto. Its still a cool knife and I like it, I own three, but yeah there are better options for your money depending on what you want the knife for. with kabar you are paying for fasion and brand
