How to Listen to FRS/GMRS Frequencies on a Baofeng UV5R
มุมมอง 956หลายเดือนก่อน
Here I show you how to listen to FRS/GMRS frequencies with a UV5R. Listening is legal. It is ILLEGAL to transmit on the UV5R without a ham license. It is also ILLEGAL to transmit on FRS/GMRS frequencies if the radio is not type accepted by the FCC for those frequencies. A GMRS radio also requires a license to transmit. Do not take legal advice from me. Research the law and ensure you're doing e...

What It’s Like to Drive a Zamboni (POV)
มุมมอง 1092 หลายเดือนก่อน
Hello all, this is a first person perspective of what it’s like to drive a Zamboni. Here you watch my father cut the ice, who has been doing it for over 20 years. This Zamboni is from 1975, which is one of the older Zambonis that you’ll see operational at this point. As people skate on the ice, they create gouges in the ice from their blades. Ice also gets shaved off while they are sliding arou...

Clearly, the Bic lighter is clear choice, simple and trouble free. Cheap too. I have 15 year old Bics that are still perfect.
I like the sound effects 😂
Love the review and depth. Have pocket carried this light daily for the last 2 years and the petina is quite worn but i love it! Never changed the battery though.
I've been carrying the Coast Slayer for about a year. It's rechargeable, waterproof, and lasts forever.
That’s a good shape for the pocket. Similar to the wedge.
@MNWoodland It's slim enough to clip in my pocket next to a knife. I highly recommend one if you ever want something a little bigger.
Soooo....., the answer to your video title is: NO. 🇺🇸❤👊🏻⭐
My Baofeng UV5R identifies as a Pink Kids FRS walkie talkie!
Roger
Woke ass wrestling.
I currently edc an Acebeam E75 with nichia 519 emitters. It's definitely a little on the bigger side but I'm able to get a couple weeks of moderate use out of it on high mode
I’m curious. Do you throw that in a pocket or do you have a belt sheath for it?
@MNWoodland I carry it in my left front pocket with my phone. I also wear cargo pants/shorts religiously so I'm a bit biased
@@FlashBang33 Ah, that helps.
Splitting wood outdoors is completely overrated, that's backyard bushcraft, lol. In a real forst, you never need to baton. That said, a piece of the size you showed there, i can split easily with the 511 basic. I carve me a wood wedge, and i knock the knife in just enough to get a small crack. Then the wedge goes in, and voila.
Had my Bics go caput just in house. Dollar store brands still good . No Bics
I will be using mine for self defense only so like you did I'll dump the plastic sheath.
Dude turns the thing like a screwdriver while battoning wood, what did you think was going to happen to a 10 dollar knife!
Oh through the side of the woodgrain instead of with or against it! Sometimes I forget that people do stupid things so they get more views and comments
Too long
The extended handles make the both the Esee 3 and the Esee 4 the best all around knifes I’ve ever found.
Just looks like a worse version of the tomahawk lights tbh, good review though
Thanks.
I have seven or eight zippers and none of them will keep their fuel for months. None of them will keep their fuel for even one month
It was probably a return that’s why it was so cheap , quality knife though that was a steal
I have many of these lamps, but also dont forget the Petromax pressure/pump lights with the nett innside. They light like crazy. Funny thing, it is used more parafin/kerosene in lamps etc, than all jet planes on earth use over a year. Most of the world are third world, i know it sounds strange for many, but it is true. And they talk about pollution and airplanes🤣
These are very robust tough knives suitable for many tasks, while it may dull quicker than a superior steel they are easy to sharpen and the sheath was very well thought out and designed
Thanks for the tip. That Gerber Strongarm is something I'll look into. I already have a Camillus swedge knife for those rare batoning firewood occasions.
It is made by Windlass Sword, in India. They make good swords and also makes things for the US Army.
Its a steal for 10. Not a problem with mine. I do have the updated version tho
You saved me 20$. Good call to check costco. Thank you. That's an extra magazine with the saving, hahaha.
❤😊
Theres s decent green liner lock too that i grabbed. Also grabbed the green and black versions of the orange recently. The scales feel a little grippier then the orange one, also has a reversible pocket clip now.
The USMC kabar is junk ,just all kabars. Cheap steel, soft thick edges and basically a stick tang. The knives issued originally were 1000 times better. Camillus made the best version.
It's a pocket knife and not a fixed blade. Not made for that. I bet every single folding knife I own would do that as well
Maybe, but in the video I do the same thing with a cheaper ozark trail and the blade is fine.
It wasn't supposed to be great, it was supposed to be cheap for rapid production. It's intended purpose was utility.
Shallow Man
Zippo sells an torch insert, it switches out the flame from a flame sorta like when you light a Q Tip on fire my guess, the insert makes it like a dollar tree little torch but 2x-3x better which makes it easier to light fires in a fire pit, bic lighters are okay for lighting fires they take a bit long.
I have the sr1 in both the clip point and tanto I have a flat spot but I think it was when I was cutting shavings into my wood stove and smacked it full force into the stove another flat spot was from doing the same thing but hit some aluminum
THANKS !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I have the S35vn version. Love it. Mine has the flat micarta handle scales which I’m not the big fan of. Where did you get your handle scales? Those look like they would be much more comfortable.
So these are the G10 handles that are sold with the Esee 4 “3D”, they don’t sell them separately, however, Esee just announced at shot show that this year they WILL be selling them separately. I would also look at The Knife Connection if you want a different handle. I’ve heard really good things about them, and they actually extend the handle a little bit at the bottom.
@ awesome thank for that info!
I have 2 regular ones, and the sheath isn't that bad tbh
I have the SK5 one, the sheath fits fine. The problem is the 3V version is thicker behind the edge which causes problems.
Quite frankly. Anything that can destroy a white claw so that no one has to drink it, is worth the money.
think about this,,, which one would you rather lose,,, for me it's the cheap knife
it is not a sword at all, but a normal sized Bowie knife, that's all. And it is a nice one.
Those things are the cheapest machetes on the planet…lol. I took them out to clear cut some of my paths. The first one held up for quite some time until the handle fell apart. I bought 2 more. Both blade edges were bent like roller coasters after 5 minutes of chopping branches. The metal is butter soft. I ground them down smooth on my grinder again. I wouldn’t waste my money on another one.
Go buy a le6920 socom and get one 😀
I’m going to buy a bunch of Ozark trail knife and give as gifts when I visit my family in Indonesia
From what i've seen: - It's crazy good for the price, edge that holds far longer than a knife at that price should, with decent materials for the handle, actual bearings, and actual tested D2 steel. - Light, easy to pocket, unobtrusive, slides in to anyone's carry with ease. It's small form factor let's it fill in for a variety of roles, and being hollow-ground, it's good and slicey for detail work. - Price and (generally) availability, easy to just stop by a walmart and pick one up (least it used to be), or nab a few to use as stocking stuffers or gifts. It was a good knife to designate as your poop knife, your hand over to your buddy/coworker/person who is known to be hard on knifes, and a good TSA pickup after landing from a flight, and generally not feeling bad about tossing it/giving it away when you need to go back. People tend to joke it's basically a bugout for a fraction of the price, and most of the utility, and for the average layman, it's good enough. It's cheap enough that even those struggling can join in on owning one, with a price range that would usually include most dubious gas station knives.
I like the ESEE 6. It's a good hard-use all-rounder. It won't do anything particularly great, but it gets most jobs done. Nice video, great quality. You may be doing this already but for others, if you strop your knife after each trip out, you likely will never have to properly sharpen it. Well worth spending the 20-30 bucks on a strop with compound, it was a game-changer for me. Now, keeping all my knives razor sharp is an addiction.
I carry all three ..bic of course is the go to back-up.. followed by the rod !
It surprises me how many knife guys have cats and how many gun guys have dogs! I collect both but am definitely a dog guy!!
I have guns and knives and also have a dog and cats.
@ there might be something to this!!
I have plenty of guns and plenty of knives and I have both cats and dogs. All are great if ya ask me
Perfect video thanks
I've had one for over 30 years, it has stood up to hundreds of trips into the woods doing bushcraft/fieldcraft tasks and dressing game.
You're really spending $100 for a KABAR?
That’s what they go for right now.
I Stand corrected Sir. Thank you taking the time to reply. /Still very surprised at 100$ for a KABAR, after looking up.
*Ain't for me without a Momentary* 👎
Ka-bar is a hybrid between a utility knife and a fighting knife. I've dressed game and carved try sticks with it. Carried it on two deployments and love mine. I've replaced it twice since I bought my first one at the PX in Camp Pendleton back in 2011. I have better knives for sure, but my Ka-bar is my favorite one. Also, here's a trick if you absolutely MUST split a log and only have your Ka-bar. 1. Carve some splitting wedges. 2. Start the split by gently tapping the Ka-bar into place. 3. Replace the Ka-bar with the wedges. 4. Split log.
