    I’m a Giants fan and Tom Brady is the greatest QB of all time. Especially when you consider the fact that he was a 6th round pick. He’s a legend and he’s still winning Super Bowls. My team is so damn lucky we somehow beat him twice

    • @rogerpope9948
      @rogerpope9948 5 ปีที่แล้ว +11

      I’m not saying those SB wins were all luck (Eli Manning was excellent those two playoff runs) but both times the Giants were wildly mediocre regular season teams

    Tom Brady has been in the NFL for like 19 years and has been to 9 superbowls that is just crazy.

    • @shawnsanders9450

      He has only started 17 seasons. He has over a 50% success rate for making the Superbowl

    • @teefkay2
      @teefkay2 5 ปีที่แล้ว +28

      davelanger
      He has been the QB of the Pats for only 17 completed seasons. He was 4th string his first year, and he sat out an entire year with a blown out ACL.
      He’s taken them to the SB slightly MORE than 50% of the time.
      Yup. Remarkable in the age of “parity” & free agency.
      And I am NOT going to get into the _”should Brady or Belichick get the credit”_ stupidity.
      That’s exactly like asking _“is Usain Bolt’s right leg or left leg more important to his track victories?“_
      It’s a brain dead stupid question.

    Thank you Joe, you said it, "desire". Your first response to the question of what makes Q better than G.
    Give me a roster that wants it the most over the "talent" or any other metric. Desire wins.
    It was obvious early in the season that Tom Brady wanted it more than anyone else.
    Thanks again Joe. Great point about Tom Brady does not lose many games, especially the big ones. Tom knows punting is better than turnovers.
    Tom Brady showed faith with his defence and they were inspired to rise to the challenge. Tom inspired desire in his teammates.

Or wait were you in regular season games but got injured come post season time? I'm just a little confused where your pride stems from, because if you didn't play that's a fucking pathetic thing to take "pride" from

    • @dzanier
      @dzanier 5 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      From the very first super bowl, when they didn't play to go to OT versus the Rams. Belicheck was asked about about passing where a turnover could've given the ball back to the Rams in prime scoring territory. He said "I'm not worried about turnovers, Brady doesn't make mistakes." He may lose a game but he's almost never the reason for the loss.

    • @luischauca1429
      @luischauca1429 5 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      RoguePepper 9606 LMFAOO, Brady has Moss for ONE GOOD YEAR and in that year Brady helped Randy tie the all-time single season TD receptions and led one of the greatest teams/offenses in NFL History. Montana has Jerry Rice for Rice’s entire development and prime.
      Gronk when healthy and in his prime is the GOAT TE, but let’s not act like he wasn’t plagued with injuries and Brady still got shit done without him. E.g. a couple of years ago without Gronk Brady went 11-0 and made the historic 25 point Super Bowl comeback with 0 Gronk.
      Edelman? He’s a 7th round QB. Brady handed him a career. Many NFL players knock him saying he probably doesn’t make many NFL rosters but with Brady he’s #2 all-time in playoff receptions and on the verge of becoming a hall of famer.
      Same goes for Amendola, Welker (Peyton Manning gave him a career too actually), AND ESPECIALLY BLOUNT/WHITE/LEWIS. Josh Gordon is a shell of himself. The saying is he looks like he’s got a piano on his back. He’s nowhere near the player he used to be, he’s just still better than the other Pats receivers. Plus Gordon got suspended and never played in the playoffs.

    • @luischauca1429
      @luischauca1429 5 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      RoguePepper 9606 People act like Brady doesn’t elevate the shit out of his RB’s. Blount is an undrafted RB with 0 pro-bowls and no notable feats in his 4-year non Patriot career. With the Patriots, his 4-year career includes being a 3x Superbowl Champion, NFL Rushing TD Leader and he rushed for 7 TD’s in 2 playoff games, a record.
      White and Lewis are 4th and 5th rounders. When White got injured, Brady made Lewis great and it was like White never left. Lewis and Blount left the Pats and now they’re nobodies, the same will likely happen when White leaves Brady.

    Joe Namath made the NFL of today when his AFL NY jets defeat the heavily favored NFL Baltimore colts. Without that under dog victory, another lopsided loss by the young AFC champions , doubtful the AFC league would have been invited to merged as the one NFL of today. Broadway Joe, a hellofa legend in his own right , rebel who united pro football for what it is today.

    It’s crazy seeing him play live because you catch yourself along with every Patriot fan there just watching him throw the ball back and forth to Edelman on the side lines. Like your not even watching your defense play because Brady is right there in front of you warming up and you don’t take your eyes off him. They don’t show that stuff on televised games but trust me, go see the man play live and you’ll find yourself watching him throw the ball on and off the field. Brady actually *PRACTICES* getting hit by linemen.
      That is a BRILLIANT idea.
      I’m not sure how he does it. The article I read did not say.
      I suspect it’s something along the lines of learning to relax your body, and fold up your knees in an “anatomically acceptable” orientation. Plus, if you’re going down on your shoulder, roll your shoulder under your body so you don’t get planted like Jimmy Garoppolo did in the second game of his starts with the Patriots.

    I still say to this day that Nobody threw the Football as pretty as Joe Nameth. I am not saying he was the greatest QB so don't mis quote me. I am just talking about his throwing motion and his release. I also don't think people realize just how great of an Athlete He was. In High school he also played Baseball and Basketball. He had offers for Baseball, could handle the Basketball, he had a nice touch on his jump shot and was althetic enough to slam dunk. This was of course before knee problems hit which began in college in a game against N.C.State. Joe played his pro career at only about 75 % He was never the same after he originally hurt his knee. How many 6'3,6'4 QB's back during the 60's could run like he could ? Remember, Alabama's offense under Coach Bear Bryant the QB's ran a lot. Joe if he were coming out today or maybe if he had gone to a school like USC with his kind of arm I don't think the coaches would want him to run so much. In the pro's though he was limited we only seen flashes, plus it was a way different game back in the day. I want disagree that Tom Brady has proven to be maybe the greatest. I think he has the resume to back it up. However it would have been interested to see how some of these QB's of today would have handled being really hit after they threw the Football ? I mean today's rules would have been easy for Nameth to adjust to, sitting back in the pocket and 4 receiver sets to work with and your receiver being able to run there route without being knocked to the ground after 5 yards. Players especially QB's have gotten better over the years but it was a little different back when Nameth played. Remember the penalty they called on KC for roughting the passer in the playoff game when the defenders arm was just reaching out to try and get to Brady and his hand just bearly touched him but because his hand was swipping in a downward motion as he let go of the ball they called a roughing the QB, yes crazy, Patriots got a first down and went on to score a TD. Different era.

    Brady figured out long ago what he needed to do in the offseason to prepare his body and mind for the upcoming season, that included regular season games, playoff games and so on. He is always surrounded by fresh offensive linemen, Belichick usually gets rid of them after three years, last but not least, you have the Brady rule and the game is different, you can’t hit the quarterback anymore, profootball has got soft on quarterbacks. Gone are the days of real men in the pocket taking hits like Terry Bradshaw and others who really earned their paychecks. Brady is great and he also has a great head coach and owner. Personally I think the real Mr. Patriot is Geno Capaletti.

    Rules are different, that's why Brady stays healthy. The DB's used to ride the WR's down the field, no separation, the O-Line is taught how to "LEGALLY HOLD" now, so the refs are taught to let it go. You used to could hit a QB way late, now its forbidden fruit, LOL.

      Except Brady won 3 Superbowls before 2006. In 2006 the rules really started to change to help offenses. There is now something called FREE AGENCY and SALARY CAP. Those things really hurt long term success. You can't just buy a team the way teams like the 49ers could do back then.

    The greatest of all time was Gregie Landry. Gregie flung it for the Lions in the 70’s and nones been better. If u can flip a football 25 yards on a beeline with just your pinky finger (on account of the fact that Viking d linemen and linebackers are grasping your other 9 fingers along with other body parts) and thread 2 defenders with it, u the greatest of all time.

    Brady’s had a lot of luck - his genetics, his football acumen and with the teams, coach, system and players that have surrounded him. But he’s done the most with it as well. A lot of great prospects and players have had similar breaks throughout their careers and failed to dedicate themselves and put in the work to be great. I’m certainly no fan of the Pats or Brady, but I respect the hell out of what he’s achieved.

      Pride would prevent that....remember Namath is famous because of his big persona and calling out the final score of SBIII to a T. Montana won 4 Super Bowls and put up solid stats for the era he played in and up until Brady he was considered the GOAT. It's a hard pill to swallow when your surpassed but Brady has surpassed everyone at this point.

      @teefkay2 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Dee, Dee, I’ve got to give props to the Eagles. On that day, you were the better team. Congratulations.
      Now, in return, I’d like you to be a little bit honest with me.
      When the Pats were down by five points, and Brady started that drive with about four minutes left in the game (prior to your D lineman beating our O lineman and stripping the ball away from Brady)…
      ... what percentage of Eagles fans would you concede had assholes puckered absolutely airtight: 99% or 100%?
      Those are your ONLY two options.

  • @TimTheMusicMan

    The reason why Brady doesn't get hurt and has time to pass is the OFFENSIVE LINE. The NE O line is the best ever, they recruit BRAINS and size, they are the smartest. Brady would have been destroyed if he didn't have an O line, but this is the genius of NE, the line is the key....Brady himself has a great arm, but that is it, he cannot run nor catch, so he has to be super smart himself and his O line tops the cake, along with the smartest coaching in NFL history, NE has the right formula....

    • @teefkay2
      @teefkay2 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      App Man, Everything you said is true. Dante Scarnecchia is da man.
      But you’ve got to also give credit to Brady’s recognition of defenses, his execution and immunity to “pressure“.

    Newz Flash💥 This is because the NFL is technically "Sports Entertainment" Not Sports Competition - meaning that the Owners & Executives have the legal right to design (aka fix) any games outcome.

      WISDOM vs knowledge,
      And the owners make how many passes?
      The executives make how many tackles?
      So according to your lunatic assertion, the owners tell the coaches, who tell key players _“we’re gonna let the other team win today.“_
      And then those hyper competitive NFL players go along with this nonsense?
      Is that your story?
      Or the League office tells the referees, _”Call the game in favor of team X today.”_ ??
      And not ONE of the thousands of people with knowledge of this ABSOLUTELY SENSATIONAL story have ever dropped a dime to the New York Times…
      Is that your story?
      A brain is a terrible thing to waste.
      Like entropy, apparently “WISDOM“ ain’t what it used to be, either.
