      Doing the Lords work is telling other people about Jesus and how He died for our sins and died, was buried and rose again.
      I didn’t hear that anywhere in here

      @rustybridges4302 Bro you must be fun at parties. Dyson, aka Brasshouse, by simply sharing his story is demonstrating that is possible to deal honorably with the customer and take care of them while also allowing us tradesmen and business owners to profit enough to take care of ourselves and our employees. In the end it is "Love Thy Neighbor" Mathew 22:39

    Yes good point !
    Plumbers vs seller and also, less famous: plumber VS irreparable installation. Despite dozens of pages of "rules" of examinations, controls, licenses... there is always a plumbing company to provide you with special fittings that cannot be found when it's broken or “a new concept” impossible to repair.

      I agree with that big time. Ive always plumbed with the mindset that I’m going to have to be the one to come back and fuck with it in the future so I may as well help my future self out and plumb things in with maintenance in mind.

    You’ve talked about Jared Williams a few times and how he’s overcharging and being a salesman which I agree with. Could you make a video explaining the way you charge and really breaking everything down ? I’ve consumed a lot of Jared’s content and just want to know how he’s wrong cuz even though I have my own thoughts about why he’s ripping people off I can’t explain it really since I don’t have the experience like you do .

    I quit one of the these “sales” companies but it was electrical service. The goal was always 73% gross profit margins with $400,000 overhead a month.. we charged almost 3x what everyone else charged

    • @brasshouse9822
      @brasshouse9822  2 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      I just don’t agree with that. If you operate a 45-50% gross and 20-30% gross you are so insanely profitable and sustainable. Every situation I deal with is a win-win for the customer. My guys make upwards of $110K/year and I’m balling and we have dope benefits. It’s easy to do this in an ethical and sustainable manner that is not predatory

    • @rustybridges4302
      @rustybridges4302 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      That sounds predatory to me. Why do you need to make so much gross wouldn’t like 15 or even 10% be OK
      Why don’t you do the good for the collective comrade and just do free work put your money where your mouth is🤣

    • @brasshouse9822
      @brasshouse9822  2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@rustybridges4302 I charge a fair amount and I make my money off of the scale just like everybody else. The way I’ve structured my business is as capitalist as it comes. My employees labor is worth a lot of money. I pay them that money. I use legitimate business methods to price myself and include a 50 to 45% gross margin. The gross margin pays for health insurance, shop, massive commercial liability and auto insurance bill, all the other bullshit it takes to run a company that does about $5 million a year in revenue. After taking out for overhead, I’m usually left with a net of about 30%. I then take that and roll it into more assets and bonuses for my team. When it’s all said and done I end up netting 15 to 20%. I pay everybody above union scale. I provide all tools and equipment and everything. So I do pay all the bills that a lot of these salesman hacks talk about and I’m able to charge normal prices and fucking bank while doing it.

    • @brasshouse9822
      @brasshouse9822  2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I think you should watch more of my videos before you say that my guys make damn good money but they earn it. I personally have lots of money and I like it that way. I’m as conservative as they come. I just believe in ethical practices. Jared is a predator. He doesn’t present himself to his customers as the most expensive plumber in town and would never want his customers to know that he is purposely the most expensive guy in Town so it is dishonest and predatory. Eff all the guys trying to turn technicians into salesman. Y’all have ruined our reputation and are thieves.

    • @rustybridges4302
      @rustybridges4302 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I bet I could send your video to somebody with your hourly rate and they would say that you’re a predator too.
      We get it you don’t like them, but it’s like a jealousy complex or something that usually don’t make videos about other grown men on the Internet

      @@rustybridges4302 first of all he is no competitor of mine. Secondly he harms my industry and is part of the problem that has lead to tradesman losing the trust of the public. I am happy to fight against those who sully our names and hurt our reputations as tradesmen.

      @@rustybridges4302 now that I’m in my office going through some billing it reminded me of your ignorant comment about customers knowing my margins. have you ever bid commercial work? Have you ever billed change orders for bid work? Are you familiar with AIA billing? My customers know exactly what I charge. I have to price it down to the fitting. Are you familiar with MCAA labor units? You don’t know what the fuck you’re talking about. The vast majority of plumbing that is sold is incredibly transparent. When you’re not out there scamming homeowners, you have to be transparent with your pricing in order to even qualify for these large scale jobs. If you want to charge for a change order you have to already have your labor units set up. The contractors that hire you are going to know exactly what your labor units cost versus companies labor units. The bank has to know in order to process change orders and progress payments. You don’t know what the fuck you’re talking about youret trying to rip off homeowners and fucking squeeze every penny you can out of every fucking customer rather than scaling a business properly, and making profit just like every other fucking industry in the world. More over for the service customers I have, require me to sign an MSA. That also lays out every single price. I’m going to charge for every single thing I’m going to do that way the company knows whenever they give me the service agreement they have an idea of what they’re going to pay based off of what I do. I’m fucking rich. I’m usually profiting about 80,000 a month and I’m not ripping people off like you’re talking about.

    Me again.
    Have you changed your outlook since this video? You and Jered both net the same ~25% profit for your respective businesses.
    The "fairly priced" contractor you compare him to was just like you (and me), a great tech with no grasp of how to run a business. I put your business financials, as found in your videos, under scrutiny and found you were essentially running a wage job with tremendous risk, as opposed to a business. You addressed this in your latest video, and have made it clear that your business financials have been overhauled and you're now netting 25% profit, and somewhat sustainable. I have nothing but respect for that, especially in that timeframe.
    Given that the both of you are netting 25% profit as of this moment with a similar number of workers, given that 400 1hr jobs cost the biz significantly more to carry out than one 400hr job, would you price any differently (given your new found financial knowledge) if your business was residential service?

    • @brasshouse9822
      @brasshouse9822  หลายเดือนก่อน

      I still think he is a crook. I know the numbers and his inflated prices are bullshit. I banked doing residential and I really never had to market to do it. It’s easy af to do 10k/week per tech charging about $400/billable hour plus markup. $600/billable hour is bullshit and memberships that cost a monthly fee are slimy. All of his tactics are shady and if customers knew all of the info they’d never call again. I’d rather be broke than do business like he does.

    • @Mr-Yan.
      @Mr-Yan. หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@brasshouse9822 Memberships in Texas would be bullshit, 💯. In Alaska, being a member of a plumbing and heating company has its advantages. Jered has said many times he sets people's businesses up and depending on the running costs associated with the area they're in the prices vary, some are $400.
      You've said you'd rather be broke than do what he does. Given you're both seeing 25% on the bottom line, would you ever steer your business back to where it was 4mo ago because some people have this idea a trades business showing net profit is wrong?
