hello thanks for tutorial ... i want to reduce the power of simulation on starCar when going to my point in water ... do you have any experience to reduce simulation power in runtime ? (i just have forward thruttle )... i want this be float in air
I think he forgot to set the mass (kg) for the static mesh, that's why the boat float just above the water, there is no weight.
Make sure that the Buoyancy component have the Start with Tick Enabled set to true, it was deactivated by default on mine

Thanks, but pretty ridiculous how annoying this is to setup in Unreal considering floating objects is something people have been doing for many years in Unreal. They really need to simplify this process considering how often people use this. They have a simulate physics and gravity, they should be able to have a simulate buoyancy option and avoid a lot of these troublesome steps.
common bro the boat barely works, its just floating on top of the surface, don't just post videos to have more... quality is better than quantity
this helped me tho lmfao this is for an actor. he explained that. its not a parcel that you can control. think of it like a building. its just for design.
When it gets pushed down and it floats back up. It works. If it doesn't work it's because the water commission properties have a bug post 5.1. you can fix it by editing the unreal config file ini (or something like that). I googled it and dug around. The answer is out there. If you are on 5.1 or less the problem shouldn't exist. Alternately check your log when launching, it should have an error pointing you to the ini file you need to edit.
